Yue Wuya was dead. He had beco the first God Emperor in the history of the Moon God Realm to perish before reaching the end of his lifespan.
When Xia Qingyue returned with his body, Yue Wugou, surprisingly, didn’t break into tears. On the contrary, after staring at his cold body for a while, she simply hugged her daughter tightly.
He died without eting Yue Wugou one last ti. He didn’t want her to see him in such an ugly and pathetic state.
After inheriting his divine power and cultivation directly from him, Xia Qingyue’s strength surged from the Divine Origin Realm all the way to the 9th level of the Divine Master Realm. Given so ti, her cultivation would reach the 10th level as well.
Normally, only those with the Moon God bloodline could inherit the divine power of the Moon Gods. But Xia Qingyue had the Nine Profound Exquisite Body, and rules like that did not apply to her. In fact, in the original novel, she even had the potential to inherit the divine power of the True Gods without suffering the usual drawbacks that ca with such inheritances.
Holding her mother, Xia Qingyue’s eyes reflected the guilt she felt. Although she felt absolutely nothing for tricking Yue Wuya, she was distressed to see her mother in such pain.
But in the next mont, when she glanced at Yun Wuji who was looking at them, her breath caught in her throat. Because she saw the complex emotion in his expression. She could sense how bad he felt for implicating her in all of this.
Imdiately, her eyes beca firm again.
How could she think of anything else when she had made Yun Wuji suffer because of her? He must have been thinking that he was the one who caused this, but she thought otherwise.
It was she and Jasmine who had dragged him into this ss, entangled him in their hatred and feud, and forced him to find a solution that satisfied both sides. It was they who should feel guilty and be the ones to apologize to him.
He could have taken over the Moon God Realm easily, just like he did with the Star God Realm, but he went through all this trouble for her and her mother’s sake.
"Hubby, what should we do now?" After her mother regained her composure, Xia Qingyue released her and asked Yun Wuji. As she walked closer to him, she whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear, "I and Sister Jasmine troubled you with our ss. We will make sure to repay you later~"
"..." Luo Guxie’s brows twitched. Yue Wugou might not have been strong enough to hear her, but she clearly picked up what she said.
"Naughty Qingyue, is it just to repay , or are you suffering from a ’vitamin D’ deficiency?" Yun Wuji chuckled softly. He wanted to slap her butt but held back because her mother was there. Instead, he spoke in a serious tone, "Use that pill."
She was now at the 9th level of the Divine Master Realm. It would take her so ti to reach Yue Wuya’s forr strength, ti they simply did not have. Using the pill was the best option to push her to the 10th level, and once she fully assimilated all of Yue Wuya’s power, her strength would rise even further.
"Which pill?" Yue Wugou asked curiously. Although Yue Wuya’s death saddened her, her affection had long since shifted entirely to Xia Qingyue. Because of that, she felt much less grief than she had expected. Once she regained her composure, her attention turned to her daughter and her son-in-law.
"It’s a pill that can help soone skip one level in cultivation," Xia Qingyue replied. She then took the pill and sat cross-legged to refine it.
’Such a pill actually exists?!’ Yue Wugou’s eyes widened, but at the sa ti, a suspicious thought crept into her mind. Where did this pill co from? Was it connected to the sudden rise in the Star God Realm’s strength? However, as soon as the thought appeared, she pushed it aside. She didn’t want to suspect her daughter.
One hour...
Two hours...
Boom!
After two hours, a burst of purple light exploded from Xia Qingyue, illuminating the entire place in a sea of violet.
When the light faded, she opened her eyes. She had finally reached this stage, standing at the top of this world. No longer useless like before, she could now support her husband instead of relying on him and holding him back.
It was a miraculous transformation. Just half a day ago, she was a nobody at the Divine Origin Realm, and now she was a God Emperor, the Moon God Emperor!
Not long ago, Qianye Ying’er had looked down on her, calling her Divine Origin Realm trash. She wanted to face her now and see the stunned look on her face when she saw her cultivation level.
"Qingyue," Yue Wugou’s call snapped Xia Qingyue from her reverie. She turned to her mother with a gentle smile and said, "Mother, let’s go back."
"Hubby, you can leave with Fairy Guxie for now. Once I’m done, I’ll let you know," Xia Qingyue said softly, facing Yun Wuji.
She wanted to take over the Moon God Realm on her own, without Yun Wuji’s help. She wanted to prove to him, and to the other won, that she wasn’t useless!
Mu Xuanyin, Chi Wuyao, Jasmine, and the others had all helped Yun Wuji in countless ways. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say he wouldn’t have reached this point without them. Xia Qingyue also wanted to beco like them and ease his burden.
Xia Qingyue had so many advantages in her favor. If she couldn’t subdue the remaining Moon Gods and take down the Moon God Realm on her own, then she didn’t deserve all the power she had gained.
"Are you sure?" Yun Wuji asked calmly. The two had been close for years, so he could easily guess her intentions.
"Yes," Xia Qingyue replied.
"Alright, but be careful." Yun Wuji walked over and pulled her into a tight hug, kissed her lips, then let go. He didn’t care if Yue Wugou was watching.
"Mmm," Xia Qingyue humd softly. She turned toward her mother to leave but suddenly paused, then leaned close to Yun Wuji’s ear and whispered, "Once I’m done, you’ll have both the Moon God Emperor and Star God Emperor giving you a double assjob. Look forward to it, hubby."
"..." Yun Wuji was left speechless.
With that, Xia Qingyue took her mother’s hand and vanished in a streak of purple light.
Luo Guxie watched with a smirk. Once they were out of sight, she walked over, pressing her body against Yun Wuji. She kissed his lips, her hand grabbing his stiff atpole as she teased, "You look so excited. Want to calm you down?"
Yun Wuji didn’t answer. Instead, he grabbed her by her thighs and lifted her up.

Swoosh!
Flying like a purple cot piercing through the void, Xia Qingyue erected a barrier around them to protect her mother. Although she had inherited her power less than a day ago, she was already gaining great control over it, mostly thanks to the Heart of Snow Glazed Glass.
The Heart of Snow Glazed Glass grants a pure, sharp mind with extraordinary comprehension, a soul that grows stronger over ti, and the ability to sense good, evil, danger, and the truths hidden within all beings.
With it, Xia Qingyue’s comprehension abilities were second only to Yun Wuji in this universe, that’s why she was considered a once-in-a-million-years genius.
After flying a very long distance, Xia Qingyue suddenly stopped. She landed on a dead planet and looked at her mother. "Mom, there’s sothing I need to tell you." Her expression was serious and nervous.
Yue Wugou patted her daughter’s cheek gently and said, "Qingyue, you are now the Moon God Emperor. Don’t show that kind of expression again."
"Mom..." Xia Qingyue held her mother’s hand tightly and said, "The truth is, everything that happened until now was part of a plan husband and I made."
"His na isn’t Fei Yang, but Yun Wuji. The new Star God Emperor actually is his wife. Because she wanted revenge, we sched together to kill Yue Wuya."
The hand holding her mother’s trembled, but she gritted her teeth and continued her confession.
"Originally, Wuji wanted to directly kill the Moon Gods and destroy the Moon God Realm, but because of , because I wanted to see Mother because I hated Yue Wuya for taking you away from , he chose this plan."
After she finished speaking, she knelt on the ground and whispered, "Mother, I’m sorry. I caused you to suffer again because of my selfishness."
Both Yun Wuji and Xia Qingyue knew the truth would co to light easily. After all, Jasmine was his wife; he couldn’t possibly keep it a secret from her, right? In that case, it was better to just co clean. That was also the reason Yun Wuji transferred all of Yue Wugou’s affection to her daughter.
Otherwise, Yue Wugou would have chosen to die alongside Yue Wuya to accompany him in the afterlife.
Of course, Xia Qingyue didn’t know what he had done.
"Qingyue," Yue Wugou’s mind went blank for a mont. Her chest rose and fell as she stared in shock, unable to fully grasp what she had just heard.
The new Star God Emperor was actually her son-in-law’s wife, and the three of them had deceived her and sched against Yue Wuya!
She felt sad, extrely sad, not because Yue Wuya was sched against. After all, logically, he deserved his death for killing Jasmine’s mother. But what truly broke her heart was that her beloved daughter had deceived her.
Her daughter, the one she loved more than anything in the world, had lied to her. It felt like her heart was being torn apart. However, when she saw her daughter kneeling on the ground, sobbing, her heart softened. She knelt beside her and patted her head. "Qingyue, don’t cry. Get up. Mother won’t bla you."
"Really?" Xia Qingyue’s reddened eyes widened as she lifted her head in astonishnt. How could her mother forgive her so easily? Didn’t she love Yue Wuya so much that she had abandoned them for his sake?
Yue Wugou smiled bitterly. Of course, she couldn’t accept all of this so easily, but she couldn’t bear to see her beloved daughter like this. It wasn’t fundantally any of their faults, not Jasmine’s, not Yun Wuji’s, nor her daughter’s. They were the ones who’d forced this burden onto them.
"Yes, but you must promise to never lie to again. I am your mother, and it pains when my own daughter deceives ," Yue Wugou said as she pulled her daughter into a hug, pushing her head between her breasts.
"Hmm," Xia Qingyue hugged her mother tightly and let out a muffled sound.
Yue Wugou gently patted her daughter’s back, her thoughts drifting to Yun Wuji. Just what kind of person was this son-in-law of hers...?

Moon God Realm, Divine Moon City.
Deep within the imperial palace stood a vast hall, its walls lined with endless rows of shelves. Each shelf held a softly glowing moonlight lantern, their numbers staggering, easily exceeding three million.
The accumulated radiance of countless lanterns filled the enormous space, creating an ethereal glow like a swarm of perpetual fireflies suspended in ti.
At the center of the hall, however, stood twelve much larger lanterns that radiated a stronger moonlight. Next to them, sitting cross-legged with eyes closed, was an old man. His face was as smooth as a baby’s, frad by a large beard and a bald head. He wore a plain grey robe.
Crack!
Suddenly, one of the twelve sacred lanterns split down the middle. The light inside vanished, and then the entire lantern crumbled to ash before even hitting the floor.
"What!?" The old man’s eyes snapped, his body rigidly froze in that instant, and he looked as if he had been struck by a million bolts of lightning, "God... God Emperor... Is dead!? Im-impossible!!!"
