Chapter 871: Chapter 549: Human Nature (Seeking Monthly Tickets)
“Pop, pop, pop!”
Senior Sister wielded the Holy Sword, and clashed swiftly with the crazed Inya.
The Supre Tier Holy Sword, only second to the Upper Tier Miracles, slashed at Inya’s body ti and ti again, but Iron Simpleton’s body seed indestructible, no matter how Senior Sister attacked, she couldn’t leave a single scratch on her.
“Is this the Zhong Yan Emperor?”
Bailuo had received so information about the Zhong Yan Emperor from Yagen.
The Zhong Yan Emperor is one of the dragon gods in the legends of Miracle World, akin to the Dragon of Miracles and the Infinite Dragon, all of them being the most elite Miracle Creatures.
Even weapons as potent as Li Guang and Twilight could only manage to break through its defenses.
As for victory or defeat, it still depended on the strength of the person wielding the weapon.
If the ability is lacking, then holding Twilight in front of the Zhong Yan Emperor is aningless, and one would die as they should.
“Feiya, fall back to .”
Bailuo spoke, Senior Sister quickly wielded her sword to repel Inya, then retreated: “Have you found a solution?”
“We need Twilight.”
“It’s too dangerous!!”
Hearing about Twilight, Senior Sister imdiately exclaid: “You can’t control it, is there really no other way?”
In Senior Sister’s view, rescuing Inya required drawing Twilight, but once unsheathed, Bailuo would be in even greater danger than Inya herself.
After seeing that terrifying power once, Senior Sister truly did not wish to witness it a second ti.
She couldn’t bear to see Bailuo enter that state again.
Cold, despairing, and brutal, Bailuo holding Twilight made even them, the Miracle Entities, tremble with fear.
“I can suppress it temporarily, I’m confident, don’t worry.”
Bailuo finished speaking, raised his hand to gather Twilight again, and seeing his determination, Senior Sister no longer tried to persuade him, instead holding back Inya who was lunging at them, to buy Bailuo ti.
“Rumble~~”
The originally clear sky was suddenly covered with dark clouds, the whole world darkening at that mont, as a Cross Sword ablaze with flas slowly ford in Bailuo’s hand.
At the sa ti, a touch of orange-red appeared in Bailuo’s eyes, like amber.
“Do not use its power.”
In Bailuo’s mind, Yagen’s voice suddenly ca through, making his consciousness instantly alert: ‘Not good, I almost got imrsed again.’
Twilight’s power was too terrifying, and just by holding it, Bailuo felt the urge to destroy everything with it.
Luckily, Yagen woke him up in ti, preventing him from fully sinking into it.
“Self-control, do not indulge in it.”
Bailuo chanted silently to himself, while with his other hand, he ford a sword sheath, and sheathed Twilight into it, this act brought his increasingly twisted mind so peace.
“Huff~~ Huff~~~”
Bailuo breathed heavily, the sheath infused with Yagen’s will, able to barely neutralize Twilight’s power.
It was like a balance scale, with equal weight on both sides.
However, Bailuo was alone and could continue to add weights to either side.
Now, Bailuo’s intent was to restrain the murderous desire within him, which ant adding relentless pressure from himself onto Yagen’s sword sheath.
Should there co a day when Bailuo let his guard down, the weights on the sheath would be reduced.
Conversely, if one day Bailuo killed soone with Twilight or used it in slaughter, that sheath would instantly shatter.
Everything was in Bailuo’s own hands; he restrained himself, and the sheath would block the erosion from Twilight. If he allowed himself to indulge, Twilight would have no obstacle and would break through the seal, bringing endless catastrophe to this world.
“How to convert human nature?”
Bailuo held the sheathed Twilight, his brow slightly furrowed, but he quickly understood how to use Twilight.
“So that’s how it is.”
Bailuo understood and finally realized the danger of the thod Yagen had ntioned.
But for the sake of Iron Simpleton…
“Feiya, lure the girl over here!”
The elder martial sister didn’t know what Bailuo was going to do, but she instinctively felt that what was to co would be very dangerous; however, before she could think further, Bailuo shouted, “Hurry!!”
“Roar!!”
Inya charged towards the elder martial sister, but this ti, the elder martial sister didn’t put up her full defense and held back a bit.
“Bang!”
The jet-black, gem-like dragon claws landed on the Holy Sword. The elder martial sister stumbled back, while Inya, relying on her unshakeable defensive power, pressed on for the attack.
“Back off!”
Bailuo let out a low shout, and the elder martial sister very tacitly twisted her body to the side.
In this mont, right in front of Inya was Bailuo, who held Twilight and t Inya’s cold gaze.
“Pugh!”
The dragon claw pierced through flesh and blood, and Bailuo only felt an unimaginable negative energy, raging through his body like a storm.
The imnse force slamd Bailuo against the cavern wall along with him.
As the cave was about to collapse, the elder martial sister imdiately unfolded the world of Avalon, placing both Bailuo and Inya inside the Sacred Beast Forest.
“Wow.”
He spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. Despite being the Master of Miracles, protected by the Miracle Kingdom, he couldn’t preserve his life from the assaults of the Zhong Yan Emperor with the whole world’s shelter.
“Glala.”
The Gold and Silver Holy Tree at the very center of the Sacred Beast Forest shattered from the strike and ultimately could no longer support its trunk, falling over.
Nurous Gold and Silver Leaf rained down from the sky, like snowflakes, while on the ground, stood Bailuo and the girl amidst a pool of blood.
“Is this the force that not even eight hundred miracles could withstand?”
Bailuo’s chest was pierced by Inya’s hand. He tightly grasped Twilight with one hand while holding the girl close to him, his face wearing a mocking, bitter smile: “I have always said you were a fool. I was wrong, little girl.”
To use Twilight to awaken Inya, it was necessary for her to pierce through his heart so that his heart’s blood could engrave humanity.
Such an action was far too dangerous. Even Yagen had said that should he fail, it ant certain death.
“Calm down.”
Bailuo was willing to take the risk for his sister’s sake. He held the girl’s body close, and with Twilight, he built a bridge to share as much of his humanity with Inya as possible.
Bailuo didn’t know what humanity really was, nor did he feel any side effects from losing it.
But in the dark recesses of his mind, Bailuo knew the importance of humanity.
It cannot be lost excessively, or terrible things would happen; Bailuo instinctively felt the enormous cost of losing humanity.
“Brother?”
As Bailuo was pondering, Inya’s voice woke him: “What’s going on? Why, why am I…?”
Inya couldn’t understand what was happening. She looked at her hand, which was piercing through Bailuo’s chest. If he wasn’t the Master of Miracles, capable of regeneration and recovery, this would have undoubtedly been a lethal blow to Bailuo.
