Chapter 746: Chapter 424: Do You Rember? (Vote for Monthly Tickets)
“She deceived us.”
When Noahyak said this, he was very calm as if he was speaking about soone else: “It was not an invasion at all, the resistance she spoke of was a complete and utter deception.”
The Queen had invited the Noahyak clearly stating that it was to resist, they went there to help.
“She claid that the Elbergen World originally belonged to her, and that those hateful invaders had taken what was hers.”
The Olavin People are innately kind-hearted, and they truly believed what the Queen had said, thinking that the Elbergen World belonged solely to the Queen. As a result, they declared war on the various alliances that were in Elbergen at the ti, as if they were the invaders themselves.
There, Noahyak got two things wrong.
...
The first thing, the Queen was not just, and as the reinforcents invited by the Queen, they were also not on the side of justice.
Although it sounds ridiculous to talk about justice and evil, the lack of proper justification was a fact.
Especially when the Olavin People had no intention of invading others on their own, yet they committed acts equivalent to invasion, making Noahyak feel deceived and betrayed.
“She beca a liar, deceiving everyone.”
Noahyak lowered his head, closing his eyes as if recalling a past that pained and filled him with regret: “I made the wrong decision, fought the wrong war, and caused my people to face a great disaster.”
This was the second thing, the Olavin People misjudged the strength of the ‘invaders of Elbergen’ ntioned by the Queen.
“I originally thought we were very strong, capable of handling any situation.”
“But the result was,” Noahyak shook his head with a sigh, “our opponents were beyond imagination, and we lost.”
The Queen’s terrifying cunning was laid bare before the uncle once again; he had no idea who Noahyak was, perhaps the Heroic Spirits knew, but surely the other party must have been a significant figure.
Yet even such a person was still outwitted by the Queen and almost lost everything.
“The Battle of Elbergen, that is what I wanted to tell you.”
“And then?”
The uncle knew that Noahyak couldn’t hear his voice, but still, he asked, “What does this have to do with us?”
“The Queen will not give up.”
Noahyak said, “She will definitely continue the plan, so the second Battle of Elbergen is also imminent.”
The second, Battle of Elbergen…
The uncle frowned deeply, he hadn’t expected the ssage conveyed through the Flood by Noahyak to be such.
“The Battle of Elbergen, can you tell the detailed process?”
The uncle felt that since Noahyak had co to notify him, he must have brought so important information, but to his surprise, Noahyak showed a look of regret: “I am sorry, I am not clear on the specifics of Elbergen.”
“What?”
The uncle was taken aback, he felt there was an ambiguity in Noahyak’s words.
As soone who had participated in the Battle of Elbergen, how could he not know what happened then? It was utterly illogical.
“I really am not clear.”
Noahyak said, “Almost everyone who took part in that battle has forgotten the details, and those who do rember may well be mistaken.”
“Why is that?”
“mories were altered.”
Noahyak’s words coincided with Uncle’s question, he said, “Everyone’s mory has deviated, including mine.”
“Does soone possess such a powerful ability to alter everyone’s mory?”
“You might wonder how there could possibly be soone so powerful that they could do such a thing,” Noahyak shook his head: “No, it’s not like that. The person who altered my mory was none other than myself, my past self.”
Noahyak had experienced the War of Elebergen, but for so reason, after returning from that war, he chose to seal away his own mory.
Not only that, but the past Noahyak also left a ssage to his present self: ‘Do not seek out this past at all costs, for if it is unveiled, there will be no benefits, only dreadful disasters.’
“This is my warning to myself,”
Noahyak said, “That mory must not be recovered, for once soone becos aware of it, a disaster will descend.”
“However…”
Noahyak said, “I did not blindly follow my past self, I chose to trust but also to keep a backup plan.”
“Perhaps that’s just , the one who knows best is myself,” Noahyak: “My past self left such a warning, he knew very well that I wouldn’t be too intrusive in my search, but still, I would search. I trust myself because if I were to leave clues for my future self, I would do the sa.”
“Thus, by following the traces that were already there, I began to investigate, gradually unravelling the mystery to find that answer.”
Next, Noahyak conveyed all the information he had gathered to Uncle, and during this process, the wisdom displayed by the other party was so frightening that even Uncle, who had been imparted knowledge by the Flood, found it terrifying.
“Did you find it?”
“I can’t be certain, because I lack the last piece.”
“What piece?”
Uncle looked at Noahyak, also feeling very strange, as if despite the other being only a shadow, they both felt each other across the endless ti and dinsions.
“A question.”
Noahyak said, “If my calculations aren’t wrong, the Queen will definitely encounter you, she will find you, find him.”
“Who?”
“Your King,” Noahyak: “The King of the People of Yatun.”
When Noahyak spoke of the King, Uncle subconsciously thought of Bailuo because no one else could claim to be the King of Yatun.
“If you do et the Queen,” Noahyak said, “I hope you can ask her a question.”
“Hmm?!”
Before Noahyak could finish stating the question, Uncle already had a guess: ‘Ask her if she rembers the War of Elebergen?’
“Ask her if she still rembers the War of Elebergen!”
Indeed, as Uncle had predicted, Noahyak had obtained the clue, and yet the answer to that clue was highly unlikely to have anything to do with the Queen.
Furthermore, the War of Elebergen as they now understood it, including what the Heroic Spirits knew, might all be false, altered mories.
This also ans that the evil, dreadful, and wrong Queen depicted in history, might not be a villain at all.
The appearance of an evil Queen led Noahyak to a nearly impossible conclusion, yet it was this conclusion, after ruling out all impossibilities, that beca the only possibility: “She did not deceive us, I think this because my known mories and past co from a place of protection.”
That is to say, if even the Queen herself had altered mories and didn’t rember the War of Elebergen,
Noahyak could draw a whole new conclusion: ‘The Queen, in order to protect that piece of history from being discovered, sacrificed herself, becoming the demon that everyone clamored against.’
