A'li couldn't possibly know of the existence of the Black Leather Book, and although baffled by Bailuo's strange sequence of actions, considering the existence of characters like the fluffy-brained King of Aolai and the super OCD Iron Eagle King, Duke A'li ca to terms with it.
After all, how could the Master of Miracles be called such without any quirks?

Bailuo had never seen such a strange Miracle Creature before; he watched Duke A'li repeatedly until she, unable to bear it any longer, lowered her head helplessly and took silent drags from her cigarette.

A'li was not so Master of Miracles, she was a Miracle Creature, and moreover, a self-aware Miracle Creature.
However, every Miracle requires a master; otherwise, it struggles to act independently. Even if it could live a carefree life, various defects and even side effects would manifest.
Duke A'li and Eastern Empress Ying Muyao were different; the latter had a master but lost him, while the forr never had one to begin with, so she didn't endure the pain of loss like Ying Muyao did.

Exposing a weakness usually wouldn't result in re excitent followed by such calm.
Unless, unless A'li didn't mind being under a contract, acknowledging a person as her master.

Bailuo looked into Duke A'li's eyes, clear and pure; she truly wanted to know the answer, and it wasn't a joke with Bailuo.
Considering their relationship, with Yatun Royal Family and A'li herself having an unclear history, Bailuo ca to terms with it.

Bailuo said, "It's to strike you down outright."
Here's a question though, how to gain a Miracle having killed soone?
Bailuo thought this might be a special way of contracting, to kill A'li, who he guessed would resurrect, then officially beco soone's Miracle Creature.
