Hunting plates(3)
The northernmost part of the underground for example was located under deep snow and frozen soil that digging through was a pain in the ass. It was also the least popular place in the underground as that chill sohow crept into the place. On the flip side of things the southernmost part of Sinnoh's underground where Oreburgh was was the most popular and easy to reach. After so internal debate of the pros and cons I decided I'd go to the easternmost part of the underground below Lake Valor.-
It was neither popular or hard to reach but the pokemon there were nearly unregulated and thus only strong trainers visited that area and few of them were interested in the underground. This ant that I'd have most of the place to myself and my pokemon which was preferred honestly. In the last few weeks the league had been sniffing around in Eterna cities underground to try and figure out why I was down here and it was getting kinda annoying. Don't get wrong I completely understood why they were doing it but that didn't make it any less irritating. It certainly didn't help that I absolutely didn't want the importance of the plates to be exposed.-
If the league went searching actively for the things and managed to collect even a single one I would be forced to steal it or give up on the full collection I needed to get that evolution token. I didn't really care all that much about the plates past that point though as while it would help my pokemon accelerate their training it wasn't absolutely necessary to have. I had hoped that I myself might be able to use the plates to do the sa but had the sa issue my pokemon did in that it boosted any move of the corresponding typing I used but that was it.-
As I myself was not any one typing I got no boost to my own energy from using a plate. I theorized that that would be different for an aura user who used a single typing exclusively but as I lacked such an individual of that sort to test that theory on it will stay just that, a theory. I wasn't all that disappointed in this though as I instead had the red chain that I felt so effect from that I couldn't identify during the tis I interacted with it with my aura.-
It wasn't negative though as I saw an improvent in my aura after each interaction but the exact effect it was having was beyond . Anyways I collected all of my pokemon upon their returns and dismantled the campsite I had been using this last few weeks before having rune take us high up into the air and eastward towards Lake Valor. Like always the view up there was sothing to behold as the entire world just seed to stretch out below and into the distance like a massive painting with colors I still hardly believed were real.-
There was just sothing about seeing the world from so high up that worked to keep one grounded in a simple reality, you are small. I an both literally and taphorically as compared to an entire world what was a single person in size but a grain of sand amongst a vast desert? Perhaps only existences like the godly legendries could be counted as stones in this regard as they could affect whole continents with their power or even more if you went to the lords of space and ti.-
We flew for a good hour or so before Lake Valor was under us and I saw that even after being filled with water again the lake still bore the marks of what Galactic did. Rune landed at the outskirts of the lake where the trees were still thin and I felt a gaze on for a few monts before it vanished just as fast as it appeared. 'Once bitten twice shy huh?' I thought with a sigh at that. Clearly the mad bombing, kidnapping and experintation Galactic had done on Azelf had left a ntal shadow in the legendries mind.-
I had little doubt at all that anyone who visited the lake got a similar treatnt or even a worse one as unlike myself who was above suspicion to the guardian for obvious reasons everyone else was different. I not only tried to stop Galactic but was blessed by one of the pillar existences of the world. Even if Azelf felt the presence of the red chain on my person I doubted it would find that odd or wrong at all as who better to possess it than I?-
As far as Azelf, Uxie and sprit were likely concerned I alone was probably the only rightful owner of the chain since the Hero so long ago. Cyrus stole the chain by force when he had no right to it but I was different. Giratina was a force ant to balance the other two lords so possessing the chain let ironically fit that role myself as if they caused trouble I could put them back into line. It was simply logical that the blessed of the pillar that served as a balancing agent served that purpose in the pillars absence.-
Regardless I wasn't here to deal with that existential responsibility at the mont but rather to head into the underground. Naturally this ant I wasn't going to have Gaia dig right under the lake as that was a good way to flood the tunnel system. No rather than that I released my pokemon and we traveled a good distance into the surrounding forest before setting up camp again. Once again I flipped up my eyepatch and opened my dragon eye before utilizing my x-ray vision to find the path to the underground. Coincidentally I spied a plate imdiately just outside the undergrounds tunnels in the process.-
I couldn't see color or much details with my x-ray vision so I wasn't sure which one it was but then again it didn't really matter as I was going to collect it regardless. Gaia wasted no ti at all ripping apart the ground as she burrowed her way to the underground while releasing a steady amount of Ground and rock type energy from her body to solidify the tunnel she was digging behind her.
