It was a good effort but i wasn't going to let it work "Sucker punch!" I called and the ghost created a huge claw from it's cloud and uppercutted the red bird mid charge of the fla thrower making it flinch as well as causing the fire type energy it gathered to backfire and chock it up a bit. Sucker punch was a tricky and downright nasty move as it always went first however it could only be used right before an attack was going to be sent at the user.-
The damage the move did was also not sothing easily ignored either as there was a loud "CRACK!" when the punch hit Sunnys side and it was clear a bone had either been broken or cracked. A quick x-ray glance and I found it to be a rib with a crack but not nearly enough to stop a pokemon as powerful as Sunny. "Ominous wind!" I called while the bird was reeling from the hit and Hades grinned maliciously as it began preparing the move again. "Whirlwind!" Flannery called with a serious expression that told she had figured out my strategy.-
It was an irritating one without a doubt as I was priming Hades to run a buff and interference strategy. In terms of speed and skill Sunny had Hades beat hands down but if I could manage to buff him three tis and rely on sucker punch to interrupt an big attacks that had long charge tis like flathrower i could exhaust or even beat Sunny as it could only use quick but weaker attacks. Anything that took more than a mont to ready wasn't feasible as a result of being able to use sucker punch to capitalize on that opening.-
This exhibition match wasn't just a display of brute force but also skill and I wanted to show off all the best stuff I had. Flannery was more than willing to play ball in this regard and which was why she called for a whirlwind. The move was normal type but that didn't matter as it forced to switch out my current active pokemon. Hades got of his move before this and I saw the buff activate but then it was forced back into it's ball and I sent out Vulcan.-
By league rules after a move like whirlwind was used I had exactly two seconds to send out another pokemon so I assu Flannery wanted Gaia to show up but unfortunately for her I have the position of each of my team morized at my hip. When Vulcan hit the field the crowd went wild in excitent. "Calm mind!" I called without hesitation and Flannery glared at . Calm mind raises special attack and special defense by one level each and add on the massive buff Vulcan got from the sunny day and huge amounts of fire type energy in the air with it's already high stats and I basically just ordered it to sweep Sunny.-
Vulcan took deep breaths as pink psychic energy glowed around it's head and Flannery had Sunny fly high up and prepare a return. The mont Vulcan was done I spoke two word that made Flannery grit her teeth. "Extre speed." I spoke calmly and not even very loudly but everyone heard it. Vulcan vanished from it's location leaving behind an afterimage as it circled around the arena in an instant an leapt into the air using it's montum to send it blasting into sunny who was NOT prepared to be intercepted so far above the ground.-
The impact alone hurt the bird greatly but the finishing move ca in the form of the fall or rather the sudden stop at the end with Vulcan weighing down on it. "BOOM!" the arena shook from the impact and the hard stone cracked at the point of impact. "Staraptor is unable to battle!" The reff called and the cloud of dust cleared to show Vulcan standing with a single paw on the knocked out bird arrogantly staring down Flannery. I sighed at this since all it was doing was making her mad if the expression on her face was any indication.-
'You deserve whatever she has planned for you after that stunt.' I thought calmly as I waited for Flannery to send out her next pokemon after recalling Sunny. She didn't disappoint either as she recalled the big red bird pokemon and sent out her Carupt. The pokemon frankly looked like a hornless yak with red fur and the only real difference was the two mini volcanoes on it's back. "Magnitude!" Flannery called and I sighed but let it happen since Vulcan needed to chill. After reaching elite tier Vulcan had been insufferably arrogant and getting kicked about would be good to curb that.-
The look I got from it after the ground type attack hit it told it had learned it's lesson. "Rock smash!" I called and Vulcan blurred forward and smashed it's paw into the large bovine but got a grunt from it but that was it. Well the Carupt did take a good deal of damage but the species was innately tanky and thus able to take quite a beating before passing out. "On it's back, wail on it!" I called and Flannery looked speechless as Vulcan straight up mounted her pokemon and began to beat it senseless from a spot it couldn't actually attack.-
"Explosion!" she called and before Vulcan could get away from her pokemon it ejected literally all of it's energy at once causing VERY heavy damage to Vulcan. The price for this damage however was that the Carupt was out of the fight entirely. "I'm withdrawing Vulcan due to safety concerns!" I told the reff and sent Vulcan back to it's ball since any more damage and recovery will be much harder than necessary. So far this match was going my way as I was down one pokemon while Flannery was down two.-
"Magna pull through!" Flannery called and sent out a Blaziken while I sent Hades back out. It was a VERY bad match up and not in my favor either as the Blaziken was faster, stronger and had a plethora of effective fast moves it could use against Hades. My ghost put up a good effort and managed to do so damage with a couple sucker punches and a pursuit but fell shortly none the less. "Looks like it's my biggest monster versus your fighter , Gaia set!" I said with a smile as I tossed my girls ball out and released her on the arena.-
Gaia roared after she manifested and even a brave hearted pokemon like Blaziken was intimidated by her sheer size and barely controlled power. Gaia's innate abilities kicked in and the arena got covered by a strong sandstorm while her own evasion went up as a result. "Ancient power!" "Double kick!" Flannery and I called our moves at the sa ti and our pokemon moved to obey. A vast amount of tan brown rock energy gathered around Gaia while reddish brown fighting energy gathered around the charging Blazikens feet.
