51: Chapter 49: Earth Spike Assault 51: Chapter 49: Earth Spike Assault The Minotaur bellowed, its back making a resounding “pop” as it was hit by three “Tooth Bursts”.

Enraged, it grabbed Qin Jiagui and swung him hard towards the rushing Su Yu.

Su Yu had just activated his “Rending Claw” and was charging in full force when Qin Jiagui was suddenly swung towards him by the Minotaur, resulting in the “Rending Claw” striking Qin Jiagui instead.

Taken aback, Su Yu sharply retracted his hand, but the Minotaur made a swift turn, extending another arm and managing to grab hold of the alard and retreating Su Yu’s head.

At the sa ti, Ma Ziye’s “Flying Shovel”, due to the Minotaur’s swift turn, ended up kicking it on its back.

With a loud “bang”, Ma Ziye grunted as she fell to the ground.

Having been kicked, the Minotaur roared furiously and picked up speed on all fours.

Like Qin Jiagui, Su Yu’s head was suddenly grabbed by the Minotaur.

He found it strange that the Minotaur, with its swift arms, didn’t directly end them with a punch to their heads, but rely grabbed them, which was extrely peculiar.

Cogs spinning in his mind, Su Yu showcased his distinct abilities in this critical mont.

Although Qin Jiagui was formidable, he was instantly engulfed by fear upon being grabbed by the Minotaur.

Horrifying mories of other people’s heads being tragically crushed surfaced, and he could only imagine his own cranium being squashed, causing him to shriek in terror.

On the other hand, Su Yu ca up with an odd idea.

He activated his “Rending Claw” by the left arm.

In an instant, the Gasification Mysterious Power inside his arm unleashed crazily.

Black scales sprung up, and from beneath these rising scales, plus of white fog spewing out, mimicking miniature pillars.

With the push from the gushing white fog, Su Yu roared and launched his first true “Rending Claw” attack since reaching Second-Level.

Fine pillars of white fog spurted out, indicating a speed so fast it was indescribable.

Su Yu could only catch a glimpse of the shadow of his arm swinging before blood splattered in the air.

The Minotaur howled in agony, the arm holding Su Yu ground to pieces by the “Rending Claw”.

With a roar, the Minotaur flung the still-grasped Qin Jiagui at Su Yu, leaped back on all fours, and distanced itself from them.

With his subsequent “Rending Claw” attack missing the target, Su Yu watched as the Minotaur retreated over ten ters away, abruptly turned around, and plucked off one of its black horns with its remaining arm and hurled it towards them.

The group was taken aback, then realized that the black horn thrown by the Minotaur began emitting a chilling “swoosh” sound, leaving in its wake a dismal black light as it landed instantly before Su Yu.

Feeling terrified, Su Yu growled and tried to block with his “Rending Claw”.

There was a loud crack and sparks flew, leaving Su Yu feeling electrified, he was thrown off harshly while the Minotaur quickly followed up by throwing its second horn.

“Cyclone Slash!” Su Yu exclaid as he fell to the ground, finally understanding that this must be the Minotaur’s special skill: Cyclone Slash.

The second horn, with a “Cyclone Slash”, went flying towards the group.

Ma Ziye, Zhao Shichang and others, having seen the horrifying scene of Su Yu being knocked back by a single blow, skillfully dodged it.

Yet just as they thought they were safe, the “Cyclone Slash” suddenly turned right back towards them.

With a “hiss”, Wei Zhangming suddenly scread in agony.

His whole body shook, then froze.

The “Cyclone Slash” had plunged into his back, piercing through his chest, and flew back into the Minotaur’s hand.

Blood gushed like a fountain from his torn chest.

The rest of the group was shocked into silence.

Wei Zhangming staggered a few steps before crashing to the ground, motionless.

The Minotaur monster caught its returned horn and unleashed another “Cyclone Slash”.

Everyone was horrified and hurried to dodge.

Qin Jiagui had just managed to stand up from the floor, only to find himself having to throw himself back down after seeing this.

Su Yu sprung up, and with a low roar, called out, “Ma Ziye!” Simultaneously, he changed the form of his left arm, summoning the “Lizard Arm”.

His entire arm began to mutate, instantaneously transforming into a gigantic three-foot-long monstrosity, bulging like an inflated beast with muscles as hard as iron plates.

It seed like not even a nail could be hamred into it.

Upon hearing Su Yu’s roar, Ma Ziye charged towards the Minotaur monster, preparing to employ the “Steel Web”.

The Minotaur monster roared and swung another “Cyclone Slash” at Su Yu, who roared in response, raising his “Lizard Arm”.

There was a loud “BOOM,” as if steel t steel.

This ti, Su Yu’s “Lizard Arm” countered the powerful “Cyclone Slash” and sent it flying back, transforming it back into an ordinary black horn upon landing.

The amplified strength of the “Lizard Arm,” truly a terrifying sight, could even dent a burglar-proof door with just a single strike, let alone dealing with the “Cyclone Slash”.

The Minotaur monster, seeing its “Cyclone Slash” broken by Su Yu, showed a hint of panic in its eyes, and turned to escape.

Though the monster was powerful, it was smart enough to recognize that it was no match for them.

Ma Ziye shouted and launched the “Steel Net”, but it was too late.

The Minotaur monster’s four hooves pushed off the ground to leap away, and with its speed, it would be impossible for anyone to catch it.

Unable to reach it in ti, an anxious Su Yu suddenly rembered sothing.

He bent down, placed his right hand on the floor, and activated the “Earth Spike Assault” spell engraved on the “Earth Spike Ring” he was wearing.

He realized that this spell could be used for long-range attacks.

A light from the “Earth Spike Ring” illuminated the ground, followed by a crisp “hiss” sound from beneath.

Next, in the area where the Minotaur monster stood, within a few yards radius, countless spikes of rock shot up from the ground, thick and dense as a field of needles, as if a forest of steel spikes had suddenly sprouted from the earth.

The spectacle was so grand that it startled everyone, including Su Yu, who paused to watch the Minotaur monster let out a tragic scream, impaled on the sudden eruption of rock spikes.

These spikes lasted for about a second before they disappeared, leaving the Minotaur’s body riddled with huge, transparent, bloody holes, like a honeycomb.

It fell to the ground, blood imdiately setting the surrounding area crimson.

Its cow eyes bulged, unblinking in death, for it died without understanding what had just happened.

After a mont, Su Yu regained his senses.

The “Earth Spike Assault” was unexpectedly terrifying, which indeed was beyond his expectations.

After releasing this “Earth Spike Assault”, the “Earth Spike Ring” had used up all of its stored earth elents and required twenty-four hours of automatic absorption before it could be used to cast this dreadful spell again.

The Minotaur, a monster on par with the golden goblins, had endowed Su Yu with a rather intense special power.

He felt the special power in his left arm had increased by almost half and then it began to converge, showing signs of charging at so barrier within his left shoulder.

However, the special power imdiately receded whenever it touched that barrier.
