Chapter 9: The Battle Begins
Before the conference’s scheduled ti, people had already crowded the venue. Every dia outlet wanted to get their hands on first-hand information. After all, they rarely had scandalous news of an artist trending day and night like Natalia.
Natalia arrived at the venue, escorted by the bodyguards Vasili had arranged for her. Even so, the enthusiastic press still managed to crash through the bodyguards’ protective circle, and nearly pressed the microphone against Natalia’s nose a few tis.
“Miss Natalia, it’s been many years since your last activity. Did TY freeze you?”
“Is this a gimmick that you ca up with to make a coback?”
“Did you purposely stay at the top of the search rankings just to make yourself famous again? In that case, are you trying to steal Miss Irina’s achievents and skyrocket into fa as an international model?”
Natalia was trapped in the crowd, unable to advance or retreat.
Seeing this, Vasili had no choice but to send in more bodyguards to take control of the situation and prevent chaos.
Standing on the stage, all the lights fell on Natalia. anwhile, she was sward by a constant stream of questions from below the stage.
Natalia took over the microphone and cleared her throat. “I’m sorry for causing such a huge commotion because of . I’m sorry!”
Natalia bowed deeply to the audience and all the caras.
A look of sorrow appeared on her face. Seeing that the reporters below the stage had gradually quieted down because of her words, she continued, “This ti, I was the one who acted on my own accord to replace Miss Irina for the jewelry showcase. The decision was all mine. It has nothing to do with Miss Irina and TY Entertainnt. I’ll bear all the negative consequences.”
Instantly, there was an uproar.
Nobody expected Natalia to take all the bla without coming up with any excuses. She even removed all bla from TY and Irina.
“Miss Natalia, why did you do this? You’re going to beco Mrs. Vasili soon, aren’t you? Do you still care for such clout? Or is there more than ets the eye?”
Seeing that the reporters below the stage started to ask about sothing different, the public relations officer who had been on standby imdiately went on stage and snatched the microphone from Natalia’s hand.
“As for the reason, it’s naturally because she did it for fa. No one wants to be forgotten so easily after experiencing how it’s like being at the top. I can understand this feeling, and I believe everyone can understand it. However, I hope, Miss Natalia, this is the last ti you do sothing like this.”
After this righteous speech, the entire press conference ended. They did not give Natalia a chance to speak for herself.
It seed like Vasili and Irina were more vicious than Natalia thought. Not only did they want her to bear all the bla, but they also wanted to destroy her completely. This would ensure that she could no longer stir up more waves.
Alex, who had been swirling a wine glass in his hand, watched the broadcast of the conference. The crimson liquid in the glass rippled as he swirled his glass about.
The assistant standing behind him was a little concerned. He could not help but ask, “Mr. Bruch, should we interfere?”
“No need.” Alex waved his hand.
This newlywed wife of his was not an ordinary person. He believed that she had more up her sleeve—without a doubt, she would bring him more surprises.
