Shen Yanhe had fainted so suddenly before that Fu Yanhe found her a nearby room to rest in, a room that didn’t have a private bathroom.

After she woke up, he upgraded her to a single room.

The room was equipped with everything including a TV, a sofa, and an en suite bathroom.

At first, Shen Yanhe didn’t want him to spend so much, especially since she felt that her health was fully recovered and there was no need for a hospital stay anymore.

But Fu Yanhe insisted she stay for two more days on the grounds that she was still weak.

During these two days, Fu Yanhe didn’t go to the office but stayed with her in the hospital, spending day and night together.

Their relationship ward slightly through this constant companionship.

The only thing that troubled Shen Yanhe was that Fu Yanhe was watching her too closely.

She could barely find ti to use a pregnancy test because he would hurry her if she spent a bit too long in the bathroom.

Today, she finally found an opportunity and hurried to take the test.

While she counted the ti, she also kept watch toward the bathroom door, fearing that Fu Yanhe might suddenly co back.

A tense ten minutes passed.

Two lines appeared on the pregnancy test.

Shen Yanhe looked at the pregnancy test with a complex expression, unwilling to believe it, testing it three or four more tis.

Each ti, two lines appeared.

Shen Yanhe took a deep breath, looked at the two lines on the fourth test in her hand, feeling a complex sense of finality settling in her heart.

It was confird.

She was indeed pregnant with Fu Yanhe’s child.

After all, she had only been intimate with Fu Yanhe.

This realization left Shen Yanhe feeling conflicted, a bit sweet, and strangely moved.

She was actually going to have a child.

After the initial complexity, Shen Yanhe belatedly began to feel sowhat frightened.

She had never considered the possibility of pregnancy, given that she and Fu Yanhe had only been intimate for one night.

Though they had applauded their love many tis.

But she hadn’t expected it to hit the mark so directly.

Just the other day, she had been boxing, and the day before yesterday, she undergone a high-intensity surgery.

No wonder she felt a twinge of pain in her lower abdon after the surgery.

Fortunately.

She exhaled softly and gently touched her still flat abdon.

Thankfully, the child was strong enough.

Otherwise, she might have lost it without realizing, thinking it was just her period.

But...

Should she tell Fu Yanhe?

Fu Yanhe was the father of the child, and he had the right to know about the child’s existence.

Besides, they were still married...

Shen Yanhe’s face showed a look of apprehension and conflict.

But...

If Fu Yanhe knew she was pregnant, would he keep the child?

Then there was the matter of Jiang Yun...

As Shen Yanhe wrestled with her thoughts.

Soone knocked on the bathroom door from the outside.

Fu Yanhe’s deep, magnetic voice ca through: "Yanyan, don’t sit too long, mind your legs might go numb."

Shen Yanhe ca back to her senses, responded, and looked down at the four or five pregnancy tests she had laid out on the washbasin.

In the end, she gathered them up.

She would wait.

Wait for the right mont.

Then she would confess to him.

After ensuring everything was in order and that nothing was missed, Shen Yanhe flushed the toilet, washed her hands, and opened the bathroom door.

Fu Yanhe was sitting beside the coffee table, holding so docunts, with San Fang standing next to him.

He wore a dark gray suit, tall and refined in stature.

The scars that once marred his face had faded considerably and were barely noticeable from a distance.

His revealed features were deep and his appearance handso.

Noticing her gaze, he slowly lifted his eyes. His dark eyes looked at her gently and calmly, but there was a hint of obscurity hidden at the bottom.

"What are you doing standing there? Co and sit."

Shen Yanhe unconsciously touched the four or five pregnancy tests hidden in her pocket and refused, "No, I need to check on Shen Huai."

The coat she wore today had shallow pockets.

If she were to sit down, the pregnancy tests might fall out.

Fu Yanhe’s sharp gaze fell on her pocket and he lightly said, "No rush, co sit with for a while; I’ll go with you to see him later."

Shen Yanhe was silent for a few seconds but still mustered the courage to walk over.

Her hand, however, was inserted into her pocket, firmly gripping the pregnancy tests to prevent them from falling out as she sat down.

"If there’s sothing you need to handle at the company, you can go do it; you don’t have to stay with ."

As Shen Yanhe spoke, she sat down, pressing down on the protruding pregnancy tests with her hand.

Fu Yanhe humd indifferently, handing the docunt in his hand to San Fang behind him, "I’ve already arranged for soone to handle it; it’s not a big issue."

His gaze fell on Shen Yanhe’s feet, and he said calmly, "Your shoelace is untied."

Shen Yanhe exclaid, instinctively bowing her head to look down, and indeed found her shoelace had co undone.

She pulled her hand out of her pocket and bent down to tie her shoelace, mumbling, "That’s strange; I tied it quite tightly, how did it co loose again?"

As she tied her shoelace, a cylindrical white object fell out of her coat pocket.

It landed next to her foot.

When Shen Yanhe saw the fallen pregnancy test, she was scared out of her wits.

Shen Yanhe: "!!!"

She quickly reached to pick it up, but a pale and slender hand was faster than hers.

It picked up the pregnancy test before her.

Following that hand, Shen Yanhe t Fu Yanhe’s deep, dark eyes, and her mind buzzed, blanking out.

It was over.

He knew.

Shen Yanhe forgot to straighten her back and just stayed in that position, stiffly watching Fu Yanhe.

The atmosphere in the room gradually grew tense and beca sowhat heavy.

San Fang, standing behind Fu Yanhe, sneakily glanced at them and then looked at Shen Yanhe in horror, "Damn!"

"Madam, are you diagnosed with covid?"

"It’s over, it’s over, I and the young master are now close contacts."

Shen Yanhe: "..."

Fu Yanhe: "..."

Fu Yanhe flipped his hand to hold the pregnancy test in his palm and glanced at San Fang lightly, "Get out."

San Fang choked and hurriedly left: "Okay, young master."

Before leaving the room, San Fang clung to the doorfra and yelled, "Young master, if the madam shows symptoms, take her to get an injection imdiately! You also need to be careful not to get infected!"

Fu Yanhe: "Get out!"

San Fang: "Okay!"

The door of the room was closed by San Fang from outside.

Only she and Fu Yanhe were left inside.

The playful remarks from San Fang had sowhat lightened the mood in the room.

Shen Yanhe straightened her back and sat on the sofa, her gaze still fixed on Fu Yanhe.

Seeing his calm, almost undisturbed expression as he looked at the pregnancy test,

She had a bad premonition.

Shen Yanhe took a slight breath, her voice slightly hoarse as she asked, "You... knew all along?"

Fu Yanhe’s eyes, deep as the night and hard to read, humd lightly.

He explained, "When you fainted, I had Dr. Qiao give you a physical examination, I’ve known since then."

No wonder.

If he hadn’t known beforehand, his reaction to seeing the pregnancy test wouldn’t have been so calm.

But his calmness made Shen Yanhe feel increasingly uneasy.

Her unease was confird the next second.

Fu Yanhe, with his deep, dark gaze fixed on her, spoke calmly and gently, "Yanyan, we can’t keep this child."
