Olivia’s point of view

The place was crowded with people who wanted to get wasted and party all night. The music is so loud that I couldn’t even hear my own voice, and in every corner, people are making out like this place isn’t public.

But that’s not what I ca here for. I ca here to forget. To get wasted. To ease the pain I’m feeling. I want to forget my fiancé cheated on with my best friend and left like our three-year relationship was nothing.

I was about to drink from my glass when I noticed it was empty. So, I pushed my glass closer to the bartender while he was cleaning a spoon. He looked at confusedly as if he didn’t know what I was trying to imply, like he was being stupid.

"More whiskey!" I demanded it from the bartender.

"Miss, you’re drunk."

I looked at the man sharply and replied, "You don’t get to tell what to do, okay? You are just a bartender, so give more whiskey!"

He sighed, "If you say so."

I drove to the nearest bar after hearing Ben’s explanation of why he chose Nathalie over . It turns out, she was pregnant and they just got married. I interrupt their honeymoon and beco a hindrance to their happiness. But they didn’t even think about the pain they’d cause , and none of them considered my pain.

I chugged the whole glass of whiskey, feeling the bitter taste in my throat and the strong alcohol. I clench my fist tightly, feeling the heartbreak that I can’t handle. Ben dumped like I was nothing. Like our three-year relationship is nothing but trash, and I hate him for cheating on !

He is a jerk!

"Hey there, beautiful. I notice that you’re alone." A man’s playful voice irritates , so I ignore him like he doesn’t exist.

He chuckled, "Pretending not to hear , huh? I like that. I love won who play hard to get, but in the end, they will end up in my bed."

"Is that a joke or what? Cause I’m not laughing. Don’t you have soone else to bother?" I asked, annoyed.

"Nope. Just you. Do you want to dance? Perhaps, accompany this lonely man?" He offered.

I raised my eyebrow before looking at him from head to toe, and then rolled my eyes. "Leave alone."

"You will regret it," he said.

I laughed, "I wish—" I paused when he grabbed my wrist, pulling closer to him and I could sll his rotten breath. I almost threw up because of it, especially since he was playing a handso man card.

"I know you want too, Miss."

I pushed him away before slapping him and replied, "Be ashad of yourself, sir. You are not my type and never will be! So, back off!"

I grabbed my glass before walking away, marching to the corner where the lights started to get dimr. I leaned my hand on the wall, supporting myself as I felt dizzy before continuing to my tracks. I searched for the ladies’ bathroom when suddenly soone grabbed from the side and pinned to the wall. It was the sa man.

"Let go!" I scread.

"I hate it when you turn down my offer!" He shouted.

"Help!"

He covered my mouth and whispered, "If you scream again, it will be your last."

I used all my remaining strength and kicked his balls to escape him before running away, but he caught again and pinned back to the wall. I fought while screaming, and he kept forcing himself on , but all of a sudden, soone took that man away and punched him to the ground.

The people around us watched as he punched the man, saving from that lunatic. He stood up before wiping his hand with a handkerchief and said, "This isn’t the first ti you’ve tried to hurt a girl in my bar, Nelson. I warned you already but your face was too hard, and you keep coming back here."

The man nad Nelson laughed before wiping the blood on his mouth, "I miss you, too, Gabriel. Is this how you greet your custors? I should’ve warned your custors about it. Shall I?"

"I’m only like this to people like you, Nelson."

Gabriel. What a handso na. I couldn’t take my eyes off him, and his perfu was clinging to my nose. His broad shoulders and dominance captured my interest, also the way he stood for was srizing.

Though his na was familiar.

"Take this trash out of my property. Now."

The bouncers took the man away while he was laughing like a madman. anwhile, the young man turned to and when he was about to speak, I stopped him by kissing him. He was stunned by my action, and neither am I.

I parted, staring at his blue eyes intently. Even though I’m drunk, I won’t forget those beautiful eyes.

"Take with you," I murmured.

"I beg your pardon?"

"I would like to thank you for saving, sir." I pressed myself to him and whispered, "Take . It will be enough paynt."

Enough to forget what happened today and have a one-night stand with a stranger. Well, he doesn’t look like a stranger. He’s sophisticated, rich, and prominent. I hope I won’t regret my decision.

"You’re drunk, Miss. I think you should go ho—" I put my finger on his lips to shush him.

"I am not drunk. You saved from that insane man, and I’m not leaving owing you a debt. I will offer you a paynt and this is the paynt." Once again, our lips collided, he responded to my kiss like a pro, and I beca under his spell completely.

After that kiss, we separated. His hand is on my waist and my arms are around his neck. We look at each other, not bothering about the fact we’re in the bar. But what he did next made my soul leave my body.

"Let’s take this upstairs, shall we?"
