Chapter 536: Elven Origins

"Is there a reason for not being able to replicate this item?" Elaina asked as the Village Chief handed the brooch back to her.

"Yes, I admit that we are good handicrafts and blacksmiths as we make various stuff for all kinds in the past; however, this one is sothing that is hard to replicate. It’s not just a jewel that can be easily copied unless one specializes in that. And this particular craftsmanship is sothing that we dwarves are currently foreign to. And this jewel might look like other jewels and gems, but they are just shaped similarly. In truth, this is solid mana and cannot be forged or replicated in any jewels in any way, shape, or form."

Elaina glanced at the gem again. Was it really just a solid mana and nothing more than that?

"I can tell that you are doubting my words, but trust

on this one. I will not decline any kind of work as long as I am properly compensated or it is sothing I can do. This one is out of the question for , unfortunately."

"Then, this thing cannot possibly be forged and replicated at all? We can’t replicate it?" Elaina frowned. How could she explain this to the pixie elder?

"It’s not like it cannot be replicated but you are asking the wrong person. But considering that the right one who can do this is soone who is hard to find right now, I am doubting that you can replicate this further."

"So it isn’t impossible, but the problem is finding the right person to ask? Who is it, and do you have any way to find them?"

"That’s the problem. I don’t. It’s been centuries since I have heard or seen one, and even the scouts living on the surface would say they have not heard of them since then. Perhaps you have heard of them? They are pretty elusive nowadays, and I think they are believed to have been extinct, though there are no real reports that reports their real ending."

"Who are you even talking about?" Elaina tilted her head. She is not sure who the village chief was, even when talking about it.

"I am talking about the elves. This brooch is not made by a human, a dragon, or even a dwarf. This item is made by elves."

Elaina’s heart sank when she heard the one she was looking for. Elves. She has had so recent discussions with the Grand Sage about the dragons, and considering that the elves were included in the story, she also got curious about them. She has looked up the books about the elves, and they are literally the only race that has existed in the past that have been treated now as so sort of fantasy ever since their disappearance alongside the dragons, though Elaina no longer thinks it applies to them, as two individuals have already been proving that theory wrong.

She knew that the elves were still around sowhere, just out of the humans’ reach. However, she does not give up hope on this one. She believes that since she has t races that have been believed to have been extinct or have disappeared, there is a chance that she would also et the elves one day.

"Thanks for trying about this one. I am sorry that I gave you sothing impossible to make for you."

The Village Chief chuckled and shook his head. "Nah, I should be the one who should apologize for being inadequate at fulfilling the request that I thought I was confident in. Since I failed at doing this, I think I will just substitute this service that was supposed to be done for you into sothing that I have managed to unearth and unblessed not too long ago. Rember the Cursed Hoe I gave you, and you have blessed it? I have another tool right here, but this ti, I will not be giving you the cursed one; I will be giving you the blessed one this ti around, as I have used it a lot and realized it was easy for

to bless this one compared to the other cursed tools."

Elaina shuddered when she heard the word "Cursed Tools" once more. She did not ntion it again when she received the Cursed Hoe in the past, and although the cursed hoe has turned into a blessed hoe and has been an essential tool she has been using since then due to its capabilities that lessen work, she doesn’t want to undergo the sa treatnt again of uncursing a cursed tool. It’s an agonizing process and sothing she hoped not to encounter again.

But then, her ears perked when she heard it was no longer cursed but a blessed one now.

"Huh? I thought you didn’t want to make the cursed tools into blessed ones yourself?" Elaina was confused since the Village Chief did say that he isn’t soone who uncurses a cursed tool and sacrifices his sanity and days just to uncurse one.

"It’s one of the tools that I have accidentally held, which made

force myself to uncurse it myself. Turns out the conditions were easier than I thought. Here, let

give you this. I already have another one I do use, so you can have this one instead."

He headed inside his house and went back out carrying a reddish-blue colored watering can in his hands. Aside from the unusual color sche it has, there’s no other indicator that the watering can in his hands was a blessed tool, like how the Blessed hoe is glowing and is colored white.

"Considering you water your plants every day, I doubt you won’t need this watering can. Even if you have sprinklers, you can rest assured that you will still use this, as, aside from being able to water a large patch of area in just one use, the water it drops will always be clean and great for watering plants, as it enhances the growth rate and productivity of the plant itself. It is like having water infused with fertilizer at this point, and you also don’t need to worry about refilling it. For so reason, it always contains water."

Elaina accepts the Watering can, and sure enough, she does feel the sa power the blessed hoe gives whenever she holds it. This is indeed a blessed watering can, and what makes this interesting, there is indeed water inside it.

"Is the water drinkable?" Elaina asked.

The dwarf shrugs his shoulders. "No idea. Never tried, never will."

The watering can itself is a great addition, but learning that it doesn’t run out of water, does that an they can have infinite clean water at that point? It is also why she asked the Village Chief about it.

And so, even though Elaina’s main agenda was not achieved as a result, she does get a good boon of stuff that she can use. She will still have to explain this to the Elder Pixie, but she hopes he understands.
