Chapter 353: Secret eting
"Are you not making any kind of rumors? I don’t like it when soone started spreading rumors you know?" Elaina shook her head.
"Hey, what do you even take
for? I may like to talk gossip from ti to ti but I don’t talk rumors I don’t confirm myself. I am talking about sothing I witnessed myself!" The Harvest Goddess defended herself.
"Secret eting... But how the heck does this intruder even enters the farm? Just so you know I have plenty of security asures here designed to deal with intruders. One wrong step and the security asures I placed will take care of them."
"From what I have seen so far, this guy is using the stream’s water to enter the farm. Since the guy did not even enter the farm’s entrance in the first place, those defenses you put has not only failed to activate, but also failed to take notice of the guy himself. But don’t worry, because the guy is not going to bring trouble and will not cause any problems unless he bring it himself."
"Just who is this guy that Alyssa was even eting with? I don’t think there are any guys that she will be eting with?"
"Based on what I have seen, he is on a disguise. But I can easily tell him from his disguise and his real face and also managed to confirm that this person was none other than Alyssa’s lover. The guy who ca the other day who said that he is a rfolk representative."
"The rfolk representative himself?!"
The Harvest Goddess imdiately covered Elaina’s mouth. "SHHH! Not too loud! Alyssa still didn’t know that I already know of their secret eting. She might be soone who opens up if you asked her but the fact she is keeping this a secret ans that she didn’t want this secret eting to be interrupted."
After the Harvest Goddess removed her hand from Elaina’s mouth, Elaina imdiately retorted. "Didn’t she said that the guy left her fending off for herself? Then why is she doing this again and letting this man do this? What is this? So sort of Roo and Juliet story?!"
"I don’t know who this Roo and Juliet people but it seems that the guy did have a good reason why he didn’t manage to save her himself. It seed he sacrificed himself and let himself be captured in exchange for the rfolk people to give Alyssa ti to escape which she successfully did. If not for his noble sacrifice, Alyssa would have never gave birth to Mier or stress might have consud her as she gives birth and might have died in the process. The possibilities were there but it got averted by his quick thinking."
"But then if he is captured, how the heck did he beca the representative of the rfolk kingdom?"
"His title was only on na only. He is a temporary one and was specifically done by the people of the rfolk kingdom to tug the heartstrings of Alyssa which will allow her to return ho."
"I see. Because he is the perfect candidate to talk with her, he is brought up, gained a title and beca the person that Alyssa will be eting which would result to her giving up and coming back herself," Elaina shook her head.
"Yes. Quite capable but despicable of a technique since it tries to uses heartstrings and connections to do the deed. Those old n in the rfolk Kingdom seems to be more than ready to take over and use Alyssa as a way to finish what they started."
"Alright, I think I get the gist of it...but how did you know all of this, Harvest Goddess? I know you are listening to them but these kind of information seed like sothing that can only be obtained when one tries to dig deeper into the truth."
"How? I just listened to their conversation. The guy himself was the one who is revealing the plan. It turns out that he is against of it. He has already formulated so plans to ensure that these people will not be able to bring Alyssa back with them. Their eting was just a way to reveal the truth, and to also reveal that their group will still continue to pester Alyssa. He is advising her to not accept it."
Elaina is surprised. "Really? He is the one who said that?"
"Yeah. It seems those soldiers were the ones who was currently working for the elders of the rfolk Kingdom. He is just there to tug so heartstrings but other than that, he is nothing but just that."
"I see. You said they are still eting? How frequent?"
"Not always, the guy himself have done etings without schedule. It seems the only ti he can go and escape is during the ti where security surveillance on him is low allowing him to escape. He have co here for three nights since the ti when those rfolk people have co to persuade Alyssa."
Elaina fell into deep thought. The rfolk kingdom has troubles themselves related to family and now their problems are revolving there and seems to be sothing that will get dangerous. And considering that they are helping Alyssa, they will not be able to escape this trouble. Not only that, but Elaina couldn’t forget that the rfolk planned to take her before when she was still pregnant with the twins. In short, they are not just interested in taking Alyssa but they could also expand their variety with just regular humans. Troubleso indeed but sothing that Elaina has no control.
Then there is the problem with the rmaids. Based on what Adelaide got from the broken translation that Arthur has told to her, so people attacked the family of the rmaid and caused so problems. It is said that rfolk and rmaids are nothing alike no matter how one will look at the two race, but their problems share so similarities though she still needed so little context from the rmaid’s situation before she can fully say that it is connected indeed.
"So what are your plans now, Farr? Are you going to stop their secret eting?" the Harvest Goddess asked.
"No. I am not cruel enough to deprive them of their freedom to et. I am still suspicious with the guy himself but I will just not think much about it and let her find out the truth herself. I will also help out once the situation is drastic enough. I didn’t have enough revenge in the first place against the rfolk so if they decided to do another problem, I will finally gain a new reason to beat them up."
"Sotis, I wonder if you were actually a forr Empress or so kind of underground fighter, farr. Your violent tendencies sotis made
flinch at tis. I am even thinking whether you are a man deep inside but you just decided to beco a woman," the Harvest Goddess scratches her head.
"Hey, I am a woman through and through! And what’s wrong with this mindset? If you don’t get yourself careful, the enemies will take advantage of this little weakness being shown and will use this to conquer. And I can’t afford that to happen. Might as well get violent first before diplomacy."
The Harvest Goddess sweats even though she was not supposed to be sweating.
"A-anyways, I will be checking again in the future if Alyssa and his boyfriend will et secretly again. Just to be sure, are you sure you don’t want to see it personally?"
"Sounds tempting but I would rather not. I am more busy with my job and taking care of the kids and I don’t like to stay up all night just to listen to two lovers doing a private eting."
"You are a bit of a boring kind. But alright. I will just continue to monitor in the future then."
The Harvest Goddess then returned to the water, leaving Elaina fishing. After a while, she got a bite which she imdiately tried to reel in only for the line to snap.
"Enough fishing for the day, I guess."

The repair progress for finishing the barrier of the labyrinth is going well. Like what she theorize, she decided to spread the plants she will be planting in various seasons. After she replanted new plants on the spring field, she headed planted more saplings and seeds on the sumr and fall fields.
Also, Elaina has finally heard of the rumors by the adventurers about her prowess and how she easily dispatched the boss alone on the labyrinth. Since it was backed with the talk with the guards, the rumors didn’t just go real wild but a few other things have been added like how she is capable of ripping a giant monster barehanded and how she can easily outmatch a rampage of monsters all by herself. The latter is possible but for the part where ripping a giant monster by her bare hands is sothing even her can’t do.
As she continued to do her job, Duke Darcy arrived, greeting Elaina.
"Long ti no see, Miss Elaina."
