Chapter 337: Sailing Trip [VI]
Julia and the First Prince are the ones preparing for the grill. Thanks to Julia’s magic, they easily made the coal heat up and ready to go.
"Should I grill?" the First Prince asked.
"Let
do the grilling, this ti, First Prince. You guys should go and rest now since you guys have done the task."
"I will keep on helping, Sis. Adjusting the fire’s intensity is still necessary, you know," Julia said with a grin.
"Alright. Anyways, your Highness, Caroline, let
do the duty."
Princess Margaux also chid in who is currently lying on the sunlounger enjoying he sun. "You can trust Miss Elaina on this one, Brother! She might be a farr but her dishes are sothing that you will like! Trust on , she has my approval after all."
The First Prince smiled and nodded. "Alright. If even my sister is vouching for your cooking skills, then I will expect sothing good from this! Looking forward to the lunch!"
Julia then whispered to Elaina’s ear with a look of worry to her. "Sis, are you sure about this? Although your cooking is good, I don’t think you have done any cooking related to this fish."
"Don’t worry, Julia. Trust in ."
"Okay, I will still help out. It’s not like I am worried or anything."
Elaina smiled and she understand her worries. She has yet to do any kind of cooking related to fishes after all, and seeing that she confidently said that the fish will be handled great by her to the First Prince. She is just afraid that the First Prince will be disappointed by Elaina’s cooking.
But Elaina has a different mindset and she is very confident this ti around.
She opened her bag and took out a few stuff with her. A brush she uses for grilling at, soy sauce, a few spices she specifically created for herself after a bit of research, and salt. She even have MSG with her that she bought after learning from Douglas that cooking gets tasty with MSG included in small and healthy amount.
Using a small bowl, Elaina started mixing the spices she have into the bowl and mixing it with the soy sauce and MSG that she mixed using the brush. The spices are items that she have collected in every foraging sessions. These herbs allows to give a good sll on a cooking and even add flavor. She made sure to take advantage of the almanac’s notes to make them, otherwise, she will not be making it. It didn’t take her long to finish the task and quickly brushes both sides of the fish before putting it on the grill.
PSSSSHHHHH!
The mont she put the fish to the grill, the aroma swiftly mixed through the smoke coming from the grill, spreading around the yacht. It has yet to be fully cooked and yet Elaina is already doing quite a good job in cooking.
"Wow, that sll! Looks like I was right in letting her do the grilling!"
"Elaina was quite skilled indeed! Her skills on the knife with cleaning the fish is quite a great one to look. Just seeing her cut up the fish, take its guts and clean the fish without spilling so much of a blood that could splatter anyti, she is doing it like it was nothing. She might have handled quite a lot of fish if she was that quick with her hands," Caroline praised her knife work.
"Can you replicate her knife work? I thought you are good on it," the First Prince was surprised with Caroline’s words.
"Haha, my knife work is inferior on what Elaina can do."
The grill is very busy and even Julia who have seen Elaina cook a lot, never see Elaina this vigorous in cooking. She was like watching so expert chef cooking so fishes for her custors.
Thanks to the fire control that Julia is doing, cooking the fishes with the grill was easy. She easily cooked the fishes just well enough to not singe it so badly. In fact, the fish that was grilled looked like it was fried which is sothing that even Julia wasn’t expecting to see.
"Give
the plate!"
Julia passes the plate to Elaina and using the tong, Elaina took out the fish she first grilled and put the well done grilled piranha. One look from it, one would assu that the grilled fish on the plate is a grilled cow or beef at...but it was actually fish because of how greasy it looked before them.
The sll was quite mouthwatering that the First Prince who has been enduring for a while couldn’t endure anymore and went to the newly cooked fish.
"May I take the honor to taste the fish first?" the First Prince asked while his hand is already using the fork and knife to poke on the newly grilled fish.
"Go ahead, your Highness! Tell
your thoughts!"
Just like that, the First Prince who should be elegant in eating has quickly devoured the fish like there is no tomorrow. As soon as he swallowed the first part of the fish, his eyes lights up and he quickly chewed the fish.
"Is..is this really fish?!"
He swallowed another mouthful and chewed. And his face is still looking with disbelief.
"Darling? How does it taste?"
"This...Darling...I don’t know what to say...you should have a taste yourself."
The First Prince sliced a bit of the fish and spoonfed his wife. As soon as the fish enters her mouth, her eyes went wide and her mouth quickly chewed the fish like it was about to run out if she didn’t chew it properly.
"What the...is this really fish? Are you sure this was the sa fish we cleaned earlier?" Caroline is in disbelief.
"Right?"
Princess Margaux who is hearing the comnts of her brother couldn’t resist either and went to the grilling area.
"Is it that good, Brother?"
"Yeah! Have a taste once a new fish is done grilling! Oh, speak of the devil, here is one!" the First Prince pointed to Elaina putting a newly cooked grilled piranha to the plate.
"May I, Miss Elaina?" Princess Margaux asked.
"Sure!" Elaina smiled as she continued grilling.
Princess Margaux started eating and just like the first two who was just eating was surprised as well.
"Curaj should have a taste on this! He will like the taste of this!"
The First Prince frowned at his sister as he followed a glance on her heading to Curaj who is cleaning the deck’s floor. She also spoonfed Curaj who was surprised by Princess Margaux behavior only for his surprise to shock after he chewed the fish.
"Miss Elaina, has that minotaur kid, been making moves to my sister?" the First Prince asked.
"Hmm, I don’t think so? But I do see them quite a lot together. Maybe you should ask your sister for that as I am not too aware of their true relationship. All I know is that they are close friends."
Elaina then continued to cook the fish as she grilled the fish with mastery. And hearing the reaction of the first testers, Elaina is looking forward to tasting the fish for herself as well.
As she was busy cooking the fishes, the Almanac appeared before her, opened to the mastery pages and focus on the Cooking Mastery which has already hit level 2.
