Chapter 322: Start From the Bottom Part 2

Lorraine has a typical office job in the Adventurer’s Guild. Processing various applications for new adventurers, processing quests that will be posted on the bulletin board, and processing passes necessary for dungeon and labyrinth diving. Although it wasn’t much, things escalate real fast and take quite a while to finish which makes the work a bit stressful at tis. That is the job of a receptionist of the guild.

Still, because her work position is important, she got a few workers and helpers for her work to do the nial stuff so that she can focus on the desk work.

Right now, she is busy processing things related to the Labyrinth after the recent incident. Due to the situation, the labyrinth diving prerequisite is increased and regular adventurers who are not that strong or experienced are not allowed to be getting the pass to dive into the labyrinth.

Thankfully, most adventurers have been afraid to head to the labyrinth at the mont due to that recent developnt and although it ended pretty quickly, they still wanted to not head to the labyrinth and get stuck in whatever was happening over there. Now, she is quite free and has no necessary stuff to do.

As she was relaxing, a woman went to her counter which ans it was business. This is the first ti she has seen this woman before and based on her gear...she is a newbie. She didn’t wear any armor and her clothes made her look more like a farr. The only thing that makes her different from a farr is that she has a weapon that seems like a sword though it was on her hip.

"Hello, I heard from those adventurers that this is the counter where I will be able to get the Labyrinth Diving Permit?"

Lorraine frowned looking at her. For a newbie who she just saw today to ask for a permit to enter a labyrinth, this woman seems not to understand the dangers of the labyrinth at all. Still, she didn’t want to co out rude and maintain her professionalism.

"Yes, Ma’am. You are indeed on the correct counter. However, I will inform you that you cannot get the labyrinth pass if you are a newbie adventurer and if you are also just starting out, killing a few easy monsters should do the trick to get so money and buy protective gear. Your clothes won’t do against monsters. You will need to begin at the very bottom first," Lorraine explained.

"I know. I have been killing monsters for quite so ti now and they aren’t that much of a problem."

"Really? Can I see your adventurer’s ID card so that I can verify your claims?"

"Well, that is the problem. I don’t have any of that as I didn’t register myself as an adventurer."

A vein seems to pop out of Lorraine’s forehead after hearing this. Is this woman ssing with her?

"Ma’am, if you have no adventurer’s ID card, then how can we even know that you did kill monsters before? Monsters are no easy things that you can just say that you have killed like nothing. They aren’t regular animals! This is no joke!"

The woman scratches her head before she pulls out sothing from her little bag.

"Well, if I hand over a few things that are part of a monster, perhaps you will acknowledge that I know what I am doing?"

Lorraine knew very much how hard it is to get monster parts especially if they are from adventurers. Considering that monster parts are expensive to sell to right people, getting a lot of that stuff will need money if she plans to fool her. Still, she decided to agree and play along.

"Alright, let’s see what you got then."

The woman nodded and pulled out various items from the bag. A few numbers of kobold fangs and claws, sli cores, rabid wolf fangs and many more. But the most prominent from the items she pulled out are the Snow n remnants. She wasn’t expecting to see it and quite a lot of it, to be exact.

Seeing the number of stuff she brought out, Lorraine was flabbergasted on the woman’s haul. Not only she got a few stuff that newbie adventurers has no capability to have at the mont, but she also have a lot of the snow n remnants which is an item that is now impossible to get as it is no longer present and it has been quite so ti since the appearance of those monsters. And considering the difficulty of those monsters, having them is sothing that should not be underestimated.

"How...how did you get all of these?" Lorraine asked, still not sure what to say on the woman’s haul.

"Oh these? These items are from the monsters I killed not too long ago. I already sold quite a few of these in the market. These things on

were supposed to be sold in the smithy to see if they could create sothing from these. As for these snow n remnants, they are sothing I collected after killing those guys. You can say it was a sort of rembrance? A reminder that they are sothing I hated fighting."

Lorraine is now speechless. She wanted to at least make the woman regret lying...but she ended up speechless. The woman before her is not an ordinary one if she has these items in the first place.

"Well, does these help?" the woman asked.

"...Yes. Still, we needed to have you registered as an adventurer to get the pass. Can you please tell

your na?"

"My na? Is it really necessary? Can I use a fake na?"

"No, no, that is against the rules. We needed the authentic na of yours."

"Well, in that case, my na is Elaina Zangrande."

Lorraine records the na to the record book but an error appears before her, stating that the na is already registered.

"Ma’am, are you sure you are not an adventurer? Your na is already registered."

Seeing the result. Lorraine thinks the woman before her is faking the na only for it to hit a match. She is ready to scold this woman if she decided to use another na.

"Seriously? Wait, if my na is already registered..." the woman then started to look in her bag and grab a piece of paper before she handed it to her.

"Miss, can you take a look a this? They said that this should work if I needed confirmation for myself."

Although Lorraine is already dead set on stopping this fraudster from getting what she wanted, she still took the paper. When she opened it up, her eyes went wide and she imdiately searched to see if the numbers printed on the paper is real. And the mont it appeared before her, Lorraine realized who this person is and now understands why she got a lot of these monster loot that no ordinary person should own unless they bought it.

The mysterious farr who is assigned to make the labyrinth barrier and the one who dealt with the boss that escaped the labyrinth. The woman known to have helped solve the abbormal winter.

The granddaughter of the hero and the saintess. The woman before her is the real deal and a well known legend by the adventurers. Lorraine signed in relief after realizing this. If she did made any disrespect on her, she might be fired from her job.
