Chapter 264: Adelaide
Elaina has heard that so babies skip crawling entirely and start practicing walking. It isn’t weird for a baby to do that, but Adelaide sohow is not practicing walking, she is literally walking earlier and Elaina is so surprised that she is not sure how her daughter has started walking when her brother who is also born alongside her is still struggling to crawl.
She thought that she would be witnessing both of her babies practice their crawling but seeing Adelaide break the custom is sothing she wasn’t even prepared for.
But that all ended when Adelaide muttered her first word and it wasn’t a stutter.
"Mama."
Elaina has also heard that there are so babies who will start muttering words and although they would be able to speak so audible words, they are not that fast at being able to say their first word and would only be able to mutter it a few tis. Of course, that is also due to the help of their parents who would teach them the mont they would discover that their babies are starting to make signs of attempting to mimic words.
But Adelaide skipped that entirely. Not only that but how did Adelaide be able to know the aning of "Mama" anyway? Elaina is sure that Julia has not started teaching the babies any words just yet as they are not yet capable of speaking or mimicking sounds just yet. And no one in the farmhouse is saying the word "Mama" at all. It would have been more accurate if Adelaide’s first word would be "Sis" if she was mimicking Julia as that is what Julia is calling her.
Still, despite her shock and realizing that Adelaide is not a normal child and more of an advanced baby, Elaina smiles and reciprocates her tiny hug.
"I think I have been so focused on work that I didn’t even realize my babies are growing faster than I anticipated."
She looked at Arthur who she realized started crawling around farther from her. Seeing him go further away from her, Elaina imdiately scooped up Arthur and brought him to her embrace with Adelaide who seed to not mind the embrace of their mother. She cuddled into her arms and felt the warmth of her embrace.

Although Elaina didn’t put it together and suspected Adelaide, Adelaide has managed to reawaken her past mories. She reincarnated and is now in the body of a baby that is still around 4 to 5 months old. The trigger of that reawakening process was the incident where the Snow n invaded Elaina’s ho and almost got them in the process. She wasn’t aware of this at first but as soon as the sword struck the Snow Man and broke the monster’s grip from their crib, Adelaide then reawakened to her past mories.
Of course, its fragnted but she rembered most of it. It was like all of the mories she had are just plain mories that are never ant to take over to her current mories. It was like she was just watching soone else’s life and she cannot say that the person that she was seeing in her mories is herself.
But one thing is certain. She is Adelaide now. The past is her past and she doesn’t need to rember most of it. She just know that she lived a good life in the past.
And after knowing that she is going to live again, she decided to take this new life of hers as fulfilling as the first one or if that past life is even her first life.
Her past mories are not too useful so far but this allowed Adelaide to slowly understood everything. She stopped becoming a literal child and if there are adults around like her mother, Adelaide has to act like a baby. Of course it is hard, but she needed to pretend.
It didn’t take him long to rember how to speak. She rembered most of the way on how to speak and based on how the people talk around, it is not a different language from the one she uses in the past.
As for walking, it is a bit harder, but it wasn’t that problematic that she needed to learn how to crawl first. She can start practicing again. Whenever there are no other people around and its only her and her twin brother,
Unlike her twin brother, he didn’t recover his mories from the past he remained as a baby. Due to her past self mories, she decided to start practicing on her walking. Her body is not yet suited for walking so it will have to be quite a while before she finishes the practice.
But she underestimated her current body. It is still a baby, but she is stronger than normal. And based on her assumption, it seems that not only her but even her brother is also not a typical baby.
And so, it only took her a few days before she slowly mastered walking. She only has practices in a short while as she is always with accompanied by adults due to the winter season but whenever she is alone or if their mother is asleep, she secretly practice.
Still, one thing that surprised Adelaide was her Mama. She might be just a regular farr but she also wields a sword. At first, she thought that the sword is just sothing she uses for self defense, but soon she found out that her Mama is not an ordinary woman.
She didn’t see her battles in action but during the attacks of the Snow n not too long ago, she realized the true power of her mother and learning she is not an ordinary farr either.
Seeing her try to defend the house by fighting, she slowly beca an inspiration for Adelaide. She is also proud of her Mama due to her being capable enough to raise her and her twin brother all alone without their father even giving any support.
She heard bits of pieces of her father’s doings and why their mother decided to leave and soon vowed to herself that she will help her mother in the future. She will ensure that she will beco an important asset in the future.
