Elaina’s presence is enough to cause the surrounding people to kneel unconsciously including the hero. Those who did not resist the authority did not suffer. Julia is one of those people, as she knows very much how Elaina subconsciously does things like this. And for soone so familiar with her, Julia knows that resisting her ability will just cause soone to suffer.
"Duke Blackwing, don’t resist. It will be easier for you if you don’t resist the urge to kneel. Abandon the pride and kneel before Sister."
Zaza and Shardu are also affected but since they know Elaina, they didn’t resist and willingly bowed down in their own way. As for Duke Darcy, after hearing Julia’s words, he didn’t hesitate and did as he was told and he was surprised at the ease of handling the pressure the mont he followed the pressure’s orders.
"What is going on?" Duke Darcy frowned.
"This is one of Sister’s abilities. However, this is one that she unconsciously uses and she is not aware of this power as it seems like this was just a subconscious way of activating this power. The actual activation of this authority is sothing that I am theorizing, but seeing this again, I think I have a general idea of how she is doing this."
"A general idea?" Duke Darcy is curious as well. This power is sothing that should be very strong if properly controlled and invoked at will.
"You see, I only noticed this activates if Sister is not locked in combat and is currently just talking with soone who is currently antagonizing her. Based on what I am seeing, this power activates only when soone like the saintess is attacking her verbally and is against Sister. As a way to subdue them, Sister will deploy this power of hers and forcefully make them submit. But because this power does not just affect one person, people who are seeing her will be affected as a result and will be forced to take a "respectful stance" to not suffer consequences like losing their wits and will for resisting."
Duke Darcy partially understood what Julia said. After all, it is like the ability that so monsters who are labeled as "Monarchs" have which is called Domination Aura. A human who can use one is very rare, but not impossible as there are records of people who used it. However, there are only a handful of people who managed to use this power and they are all dead by now as it has been a long ti since one appeared. No one currently alive has it...until now."
"Sis had this domination thingy power?"
"The way she uses it does fit the description of the power itself. But not being able to control it, that is sothing I didn’t expect on soone who had it."
The two continue to observe the situation as Elaina continues to put pressure on the saintess. The others who were forcefully knelt down are afraid of standing up so they remained on kneeling, alleviating the heaviness they felt before. But if there are people who are submitting, there are those who are resisting to their fullest.
"W-what... is...this?!" the hero grits his teeth as he tries to stand up again, only to be forced back to his knees once again.
As for the saintess, because they are being forced to kneel, her body is continuously sending signals to kneel on the ground...but due to the Binding Vine Chain currently coiling on her body and preventing her from even kneeling, the pressure is constantly increasing and she is starting to scream in pain.
"STOP! STOP! IT HURTS! AAAAHHH!"
But despite those screams, Elaina continues to give the Saintess so hell as she screams continuously.
Elaina is not aware of all of this, the only thing her mind is currently doing is thinking about how to make the Saintess submit and make her confess to everything. She wanted her to fess up, talk about the reason for the winter, and how to remove it entirely.
