Chapter 206: The Early Winter
The snow has yet to fall from the sky, yet the air blowing is already ice cold. Elaina already started to wear thick clothes this ti and even her babies are now wearing their thick baby clothes to ensure that they will not suffer hypothermia. They even wear so of their cute mittens and crib shoes which Elaina personally bought and she had fun looking at them when they were opening and closing their hands as well as moving their feet...well, Arthur only does that as Adelaide is very well-behaved and rarely do any sort of energetic movents but very cute in the eyes of Elaina.
Not only that, but Elaina also started to start up the chimney and let it exhaust so smoke coming from the fireplace to heat the place. Elaina is certainly not expecting it to get cold much earlier than expected. The temperature is already beating the temperature of winter in the Luminiera Kingdom, making this the coldest Elaina felt so far in her life.
Julia and Princess Margaux also changed into their thick jackets as well and they started to feel the cold weather seep through their rooms.
"Sis, I think we should buy so heaters in our rooms. With the chimney only in our living room, our rooms are pretty much chilled to the bone this winter. I doubt I will be going back to my room at this rate without any heater."
"Sa, Miss Elaina. I had forgotten to ntion it to you much earlier since I was so used to having heaters back at the palace that I realized late that I am currently not there. Having individual heaters will change a lot of the current situation."
Hearing their pleas, Elaina nodded. Heaters are not that expensive and she can ask her brother to purchase a good quality of them since he knows his stuff with the electronics stuff having him choose for them would be a good idea and thanks to the major sell-off she did from the crops she harvested yesterday, the gold she received this morning was a lot.
"Don’t worry about the heater. In the anti, if you guys are going to stay inside until later, just stay here near the fireplace since it will be much more comfortable here than anywhere else."
The two nodded and started to huddle near the fireplace. Elaina starts brewing coffee for them as it will be a good way to heat up in this cold weather. Even though Elaina is not a very big fan of coffee, she does like to sip on it once in a while.
Looking at the sky, it seems that the snow will be dropping soon enough, evident with the cold air.

Curaj and the Feys all started working with the cattle this ti around since there were no more crops to tend and plant for the winter. It will be a big change of pace but nothing too major. Elaina also helped out later on, making the work end much earlier, allowing the group to relax much earlier than planned.
Since Curaj has no further work, Curaj asks for permission to hang out with the Princess and Julia. Since the two are friends with Curaj and Curaj is no longer soone else for Elaina, she imdiately allows him. On the other hand, the Feys decided to clean up the field. They are eager to find more work but since the field is already clean, they only cleaned up a bit of it, causing them to return ho early and rest.
Elaina was about to go back inside and prepare to gather the veggies she would be offering later for the Harvest Festival when all of a sudden, Elaina felt a cold droplet land on her face.
When she touched it, she realized it wasn’t even a droplet but a snowdrop instead.
"Snow?"
And indeed, the snow has finally dropped. Although the Almanac already forecasted the early snowfall, it only gave a tifra around the ti close to noon and afternoon. Although the snowfall is within its tifra, Elaina didn’t expect it to be this early.
Since the surroundings are already low in temperature, Elaina can tell that the surroundings will get cold fast enough and it will probably cause snow to pile up faster. Realizing this, Elaina decided to go to her brother to ask for suggestions on where to buy so heaters.

2 hours later, after getting Troy’s suggestions, Elaina managed to buy three heaters, one coop heater, and one outdoor heater that would beco useful for the wild cows since they still had no barn to call ho. It is a temporary solution for now, but it is better than letting the cows freeze to death.
As for the Harvest Festival, it will be celebrated still but they are going to take so ti to finish things up to ensure that the snow will not impede the celebration. The organizers also advised the populace who will be coming to the celebration to wear thick clothes as well so Elaina’s worries about the Harvest Festival being canceled because of the snowfall were unwarranted. Granted, she has not experienced real winter, and based on the comnts she learned on Darcero Kingdom’s winter, she thought it would be that bad. Thankfully, it wasn’t the main case.
But it seems that she has yet to experience it just yet.
By the ti Elaina got out of the store she bought the heaters, the snow had already piled quite high and it was already about to reach her knees. The store front has so heating magic that allows the snow to lt before it piles up near the entrance, clogging up the whole place and making the store inaccessible. It is also the best way to get rid of the snow from custors as well and make them imdiately warm before they enjoy their ti shopping.
"The snow is stacking fast!" Elaina exclaid after she got out of the store.
"Is this your first ti seeing the snowfall in Darcero Kingdom, Miss?" the delivery man who will be in charge of delivering the heaters asked Elaina.
"Yeah. I wasn’t expecting it to be this deep!"
"Haha, it gets deep indeed but we have yet to reach the deepest ti it will stack up. We better hurry before the snow stacks up real fast.
Seeing the whole road earlier covered in pure white snow almost knee-deep made Elaina understand now why many people in the Darcero Kingdom consider the winter ti a necessary ti to prepare for the worst.
Darcero Kingdom has officially beco the Winter Wonderland.
