Chapter 198: True Mastery

The inclusion of the Labyrinth missions ans that the labyrinth itself is sothing that will have to be explored in the future. And to make sure that happens, a farr has to keep it running while keeping the farm afloat. Despite being excited, Elaina is also worried about this one. From the looks of the missions alone, the rewards of accomplishing things in the labyrinth are not by clearing it but by how far they have descended.

"So I am going to fulfill that job that was now handed to

after inheriting the farm after I gave birth? I didn’t know that was a requirent," Elaina scratches her head.

"[At first, this was indeed not a requirent but an optional thing. Even now, it is still optional and you can choose to ignore it and you won’t be forced to do it. But you will be most rewarded if you decide to accept and do it. But you will not be punished from not doing it, aside from missing those rewards entirely.]"

Elaina thinks that it isn’t bad, to be honest. She plans to explore the labyrinth for more monsters to ta in the future anyway and she also plans to take advantage of the little farm that has various seasons inside to capitalize on its features as well.

Elaina returned to look at her Almanac again and flipped on the other pages and soon saw a page containing sothing that involved her body. It displays every single thing that her body is experiencing at the mont and her current condition.

"What the? What is this?"

"[Ah, that is the Health Panel page. It was sothing that I added with the help of the Goddess of dicine herself as part of our collaboration. Although she was reluctant, she agreed and now this one will monitor your health and your current condition since I notice that you usually don’t care about yourself. Having this will allow you to view if you are sick or not, afflicted by sothing or not, fatigued or not, and everything else. It’s nothing big, but it will help you out if you think there is sothing wrong with your body.]"

Seeing that her body’s condition is labeled as "Tired" and "Postpartum Recovery" with a tir, it seems that what the God of Farming said is indeed true. Still, Elaina couldn’t help but think the God of Farming is more versatile than he was before. She didn’t expect him to think this far ahead and implent things that are not even related to farming but could potentially help her enhance her farming experience.

After checking out this Health Panel page, she also discovered a few things like the list of animals in the farm that allows her to see her current animals that she is keeping in the farm with its own Health Panel dedicated to various animals.

The Monster Taming pages are also included and there are various silhouettes present on the pages that she can guess are possible to be tad but have not discovered yet. These monsters also co with their pages that show her the benefits of taming these monsters.

As for the fishing page, instead of lists, a popout ocean floor appeared before Elaina. It’s pretty barren at the mont, but on the next page which contains the river depths, there are various fishes that she recognized as so of the fishes she caught back then on the stream. Touching the fish then shows their information, their habits, and when they will be possible to be caught, as well as her records on how many she caught, how big and small she fished before, and if the maximum sizes those fish can get that are divided to the small and big assortnt.

It’s just various quality-of-life features but this indeed makes the Almanac a bit more useful now compared to before that it had limited usage. And this wasn’t even all since there are still so pages that need to be unlocked.

Elaina was about to close the Almanac and have a rest, wanting to just let the other features she missed next ti when the God of Farming stopped her.

"[Wait a minute, Elaina. I know you are tired, but can you check this one last feature and know it in advance? It won’t take long and I won’t be disturbing you after that.]"

"Sothing more?" Elaina frowned.

The Almanac pages flipped and soon stopped near the very end of the book’s pages. There, she saw labels that were currently locked but she can see so icons and a status bar that so have been filled while so are just empty.

"What is this?" Elaina asked.

"[This is what I call True Mastery. Farming is a skill that not everyone can do. And this ti around, collaborating with the other gods, we decided to put so little effort that is not considered as so material rewards but so rewards that have so permanent effects. In combat and magic terms, you can say they are so unlockable buffs.]"

"Buffs?" Elaina was confused.

"[The more you perform a task, over and over, you will gain mastery over it, no? The more you focus on one task and do it multiple tis, you will soon find yourself so used to it that it will beco a secondary thing for you to do things that are only exclusive if you keep on doing it. That is how I explain this True Mastery stuff. The more you master sothing, the more enhancent related to that mastery will happen.]"

Checking out on locked masteries, it seems that they are going to take so ti to be unlocked however, she realized that this will be achievable naturally as she continues to farm every day. And it seems that her everyday mundane work will be rewarded once they arrive at certain numbers. It isn’t limited to farming, gathering, fishing, and animal husbandry are also included. There are so question marks on the others and she can’t see them, but perhaps it was related to so page unlock requirents which is why she cannot see it just yet.

As for the "buffs" the God of Farming ntioned, it seems that these buffs are not so minor buffs, because once she achieved them, she will enjoy the benefits of, if she accumulated gathering various resources in the forest 1000 tis, she will receive the buff that increases the odds of obtaining double the number of resources she gathered. It was like so passive ability now and this alone seems to make Elaina motivated to work again once she recovers from her recent operation.
