Chapter 172: Are Those Really Cows?

According to the Goddess of Taming, the cows will stay in the area for around 2 weeks before they move to another place. 2 weeks is plenty of ti for Elaina to prepare for reigning the cows to her farm.

"[But doesn’t that defeat the purpose of stopping Elaina from doing any sort of heavy jobs? Taming a cow is not an easy feat after all and that one is much more dangerous to do than taming a Hencluckle!]" the God of Farming protested.

"[Don’t be such a worrywart. I am in charge of this matter with Elaina doing the deed of taming the cows. I can assure you that even Elaina will find no trouble in taming and bringing them back here on the farm. Besides, I will be supervising this one as I wanted to have a good look at these wild cows and how they behave. They can be vital to my experints as well.]"the Goddess of Taming imdiately gave her reasons.

"[You better be. We didn’t put down those rules just for Elaina to break it and get the twins in trouble.]"

"[I promise you that.]"

Elaina understands why the God of Farming is worried about her situation but thankfully, it seems this taming job won’t be as hard as most taming jobs that she will be taking in the future and with the God of Taming doing the assurance, Elaina didn’t need to think twice. And besides, she has experience in ranching with cows. Her grandfather has a ranch near their mansion as a way to get fresh milk every day. Back when she was still having vacation with her grandparents and after the trial given to her by them, she usually spent ti on the ranch and watched the workers do the work every day. She even asks them how they do it from ti to ti and they sotis allow Elaina to test things by herself.

So now that there is an opportunity for cows for free, she didn’t want to waste any more ti to obtain one and have an additional way to earn more money.

Because it’s already late, Elaina just asked the Feys to clear one part of the farm far from the planting area. If she wanted to raise cows, she needed them to graze from ti to ti, and having a wide area of the field that can let the cows roam free would be the most ideal thing. Of course, there would be a fence so that they wouldn’t be moving away from the barn.

The only problem that Elaina has is the money needed for the barn. As much as she wanted to have a barn started imdiately, her funds are not enough especially with her previous expenses and with her wages for Curaj, it will take a while before she can earn enough to afford building a barn for the cows.

Thankfully, from the looks of it, these wild cows are not yet used to barns so they can remain outside without a barn to rest at night and remain fine, and with Shardu and Zaza on guard, predators like foxes and wolves will not get close to scare or hunt the cows down.

Now that she has so plan, she enters the house to have a rest after a long day.

Because of Princess Tabatha’s insistence, the farm is now being protected well with more guards in the vicinity. They even managed to catch three n loitering around the area to do what the other n last ti wanted to do.

In the anti, the Princess decided that she could not tolerate this and had to tell her father about Princess Margaux’s marriage and prevent it from happening. With how vile her upcoming fiancee will be, Princess Tabatha will do her part to protect her sister’s future.

As usual, Princess Margaux will stay with them for the ti being. And to Elaina’s surprise, Princess Tabatha assigned Curaj to help and be her exclusive bodyguard for the ti being which is sothing that Elaina didn’t expect. Curaj didn’t accept the job, since he didn’t want to just do the task of protecting Princess Margaux as a job, but rather, he would protect her as a friend who cares.

"You sure you won’t be taking the job? That would be a good opportunity to earn more money, you know? Kind of a side hustle. I won’t object to that one as you did quite a good job of protecting Princess Margaux."

"I am quite sure of it. I think it is better to protect soone without the need to receive any paynt rather than receiving one. You can call

stubborn but I prefer it to be like that."

Elaina applauded Curaj for being real on that and she didn’t bother to change his mind. While they are discussing that stuff, Princess Margaux is listening from the window, enough to hide her presence without letting them know she is listening. Beside her is Julia who is also listening.

"Wow, can’t believe Curaj was so chivalrous like that. I wouldn’t even believe that if I didn’t hear what he said," Julia comnted as she looked at the two outside.

"..." Princess Margaux was silent after hearing all of the exchanges.

"Princess?" Julia looked at the girl who seed to be out of it then realized sothing. Seeing her flushed cheeks and reddish ears, Julia could tell sothing was indeed growing between the two teens. She grinned but she didn’t say anything and just quietly left the dreaming girl to her fantasies or whatever was going on in her mind.

Before leaving the farm to ta so cows, Elaina instructed Curaj to build a fence. The fence should cover the whole area where the Feys have already cleared the area out. She gave Curaj the instructions on how high the fence should be so that the cows would not leave once they were inside. She also instructed him to build a makeshift door that would be the entrance and exit of the fenced area.

Curaj carefully took notes of the instructions and nodded. Elaina asked if he could do it or not to ensure that she was not just instructing him on sothing that he wasn’t able to do.

"Don’t worry boss, I have done things like this in the past. I know what to do. And with your instructions, I don’t think I will make it wrong. You can leave the work to , and by the ti you return, the fence should be done!"

"Excellent. But it’s alright if you don’t complete it. I am not rushing you about it. Take your ti."

With that done, Elaina started to prepare the stuff she would need. Princess Margaux and Julia will co with them. Despite Elaina suggesting Princess Margaux to remain since Curaj will be there, she insisted on coming along which made Elaina bring her along. It’s not a bad idea anyways since Princess Margaux can help locate the cows in the forest.

"Zaza, Shardu, we will be going! Guard the place for us, alright? The reward should be the usual!"

The ears of the two perked up and they imdiately assud the guard pose imdiately as they went to the doorway to guard the place. Despite their healing injuries, they shouldn’t be in big trouble for now.

And so, the three girls went off to the forest which they hadn’t entered and explored for quite so ti.

...

...

...

"Sis, I just realized this, but for so reason, the layout of the forest seems to change every ti. Although the area seems to be the sa as always, it seems that there is sothing else since the maps that I have secretly used to familiarize myself in the forest seem to be wrong anymore," Julia said as she gave Elaina the map that she had drawn the last ti they were there.

"Was this when Princess Tabatha was with us?" Elaina asked.

"Yeah. I didn’t have much of a job at that ti aside from the battle that happened so I only did sothing to alleviate my boredom at that ti."

Elaina glanced at the map and she realized that what she was saying was true. The way they ca from and their current way shouldn’t exist if the map that Julia made should be followed.

"Maybe because we have been away for long? That might be a good reason as to why," Elaina guessed.

"Hmm, maybe." Julia shrugged.

"Miss Elaina, I think I am detecting what you called the "cow herd". However I am not sure if it is really cows since I can only detect their auras. I am not sure about this one."

"But you do detect it? Then let’s go and see it," Elaina said as she readied her bag that contained stuff she would need to use for taming the cows. It was what the Goddess of Taming asked her to bring.

However, when they arrived, the three were flabbergasted at the scenery that they saw.

"Goddess, I know you said these are wild cows that are free to be tad...but you never said that these guys are enormous..." Julia whispered as she stared at the towering cows that were much bigger than them and twice as big as a regular cow.
