Chapter 126: Brand New Ho
Just like what Jacob promised the other day, he started working on the project and he is progressing steadily. Elaina is even impressed since Jacob is only working alone and yet he is doing the work of 5 people at once. It was like she was watching a machine perform its task with perfection and expertise.
Nothing was going on so far that the next few days were just the sa routine every day. Although it wasn’t boring, nothing was interesting that was happening either so the day passed by like usual. And just like that, 10 days have passed.
Jacob calls Elaina while she is still working in the field to tell her that the work is finally over and the house is complete. Hearing that, Elaina dropped her current work and returned to look at the current work that Jacob had done after the project.
"The work is finally done. All of the structural integrity of the house is now stable and is no longer on the verge of collapsing. I was surprised since the farmhouse is barely holding on with little structural integrity and all remaining to hang in there even though one wrong move and it will imdiately collapse."
"Wait, that dangerous?"
"Yeah. I didn’t expect that you girls living here have not even encountered a single accident involving the infrastructure of the house not even once. Guess the gods are all on your side for that to thank for."
"Ha.haha..." Elaina laughed wryly since what he said was true. She is already backed by three gods and one local god who is currently living in the stream nearby.
"Co inside, just watching the outside is not enough to see the changes in the place."
Jacob and Elaina entered the house and were surprised to see many changes. Julia and Princess Tabatha are even exploring the second floor now that the stairs that lead to the second floor are repaired.
"As you can see, I already repaired the staircase that reaches the second floor which ans everyone can now access the inaccessible Second Floor before. There is so leftover stuff present in the rooms on the second floor that I am sure were the items that the forr people who lived here left behind. Check them out if you want since I didn’t check what was currently there, only checked the rooms if they need repair and so far, I can say that the second floor is much better in shape compared to the ground floor."
"Are there additional paynts I needed for repairing the second floor?" Elaina asked.
"No. I already calculated it in advance so there is no need to add another. Anyways, on the ground floor, just like what you wanted I added one room big enough for two people to use as a room. I also added the bonus of fixing the pipeline that produces water in the bathroom, allowing you to get access to water without the need to carry a pail of water again and again to fill the bathtub. I cleaned up the pipes as well, so you can ensure that the water will be fresh and clean and you don’t need to worry about where the source of the water is coming from. Based on my checkups, the water is from underground."
Elaina couldn’t believe her ears and she checked the bathroom like Jacob said, the water was now flowing properly and she could now use it to take a bath, wash the body, or take a dump without the need to run to the stream to get water.
"Don’t tell
this is also part of the service as well."
"Correct. You can say it is just part of my repair work. It isn’t a big deal and it isn’t part of additional fees. Don’t worry about it."
Elaina and Jacob also went over to the kitchen after checking out the bathroom.
"I know that you girls will soon have your kitchen, therefore, I intentionally left a big space after the repairs for the space you lot would need for the appliances and stuff needed for the kitchen. I only added so cupboards as another freebie from the excess materials and added them. You can move them by detaching them anyti so no worries about it."
"Wow, thanks for that!"
"Next up, the rooms themselves. Since all the rooms here have no doors, I installed them just as planned. I also installed a simple lock for now that you girls can use to close the door. If you are not satisfied with the locks, you can order a few of them from the blacksmith and just ask
to install them free of charge."
"Free of charge again?" Elaina is surprised once more.
"Naturally. This is part of my work. But I won’t be the one responsible for the locks, you girls should. Anyway, enough about the locks, the rooms are now fully refurbished and are now more like real rooms. I added a few windows as well, especially to the new room to make them look aesthetically pleasing."
Elaina can see the improvents in every room and even the new room is very ideal. A good room for the future kids in the future.
"There are no pieces of furniture here at the mont but if you plan to buy a few, we have different furniture in the shop. You can buy them there and I will deliver and install them for free."
"Good to know. Is there any furniture for babies like the crib?"
"Yes. We have so as well. Just visit and inquire about it."
All in all, the results are very good. Elaina happily paid Jacob the paynt for a job well done.
"A pleasure doing business with you. Until the next project then."
Jacob then left after that without looking back. Elaina smiled happily with her first goal finally completed. Now, no one would say that the place is looking drab and bad anymore. It is now a brand new ho for everyone.
"Sis! Co here! We found sothing!" Julia’s voice echoed inside the house. She is being called.
"Sothing wrong?" Elaina asked.
"We found sothing on the second floor! Co and take a look!"
Elaina frowned hearing it. The second floor. It is a place that according to Jacob, was littered with various stuff that seed to belong to the previous occupants of the house. Elaina and the girls couldn’t access the place until recently due to the broken stairs but now that they are currently accessible, it seems that sothing was currently worth looking for when Julia was the one saying.
What secrets lie on the second floor? Elaina doesn’t know but she is eager to find out.
