Chapter 112: Sumr Beach Festival Ending
Days passed by and it finally reached the final day of the beach festival that everyone had currently attending these past few days. Julia and Princess Margaux have been there for the entire duration of the festival and only co ho at night to sleep. Now that it is ending, both Julia and Princess Margaux are inviting Elaina to attend this event.
"Sis, you should at least attend on this one. There will be a huge buffet of food going to be laid down for everyone after the closing ceremony is concluded. I think it is a big loss for you to miss this event and let it slide!" Julia persuades Elaina who is currently watering the growing crops one by one.
"Is that how it is? But do I need to even attend? I think I am fine with not attending it since I have not attended the event at all for a few days now. And besides, I have lots of work to do aside from just farmwork so even attending this event would not be particularly beneficial for ," Elaina gave out her reason.
"I think it is fine, Ms. Elaina! Compared to the last events on the beach these past few days, the closing ceremony will be sweet and short. Although the swimming activities will continue until the final day of sumr, I think this is a good way to socialize with the neighbors and other people as well regarding this matter. Not only that, various crops and fruits are prepared by various farms and are used as dishes for today’s closing ceremony. I think it would be a great experience for you as well to reference it for the next sumr event next year!" Princess Margaux added to ensure that Elaina will be enticed to go.
But it seems Elaina is more inclined to decline than to enjoy the festivities.
"Haha, I know you guys are trying to make
face away from work and have a good relaxation for quite so ti. But I don’t want to just go attend an event and leave the work here unattended. I still have lots to do so just go ahead guys and enjoy the event. I will be enjoying this event next year instead."
Because all of their nagging didn’t work, the two sighed and gave up persuading Elaina.
"Fine, but next year, alright? You are missing out on the fun, Sis," Julia said, trying to make Elaina change her mind for the next few seconds.
Still, Elaina is resolute in her decision. Not because she doesn’t want to spend ti with them but because after they leave for the event, Elaina will begin her plan to cultivate the seed that will be helping on cultivating the seed that will be used for growing the flowers that would give birth to new pixies and repopulate the world with them once more.
With the failure of their attempt to convince Elaina, the two head to the beach by themselves, leaving Elaina to finish her work with the Feys. After all, despite the sumr beach fest ending, her farm work has just begun.
After a few more minutes, Elaina finished watering the entire row of plots with growing waterlon plants. The plants are growing fast and they are now in the stage of growing their flowers. As for the tomatoes that Elaina planted during the beginning of sumr, they are now growing sprouts and Elaina is excited to continue cultivating them.
Once she was done, Elaina checked the Apple Tree she planted and monitored the growth of it. For the first ti, Elaina felt a bit freaked out by how quickly the Apple Tree was growing. She has only planted the seed for a week and a few days but looking at the state of the Apple Tree, no one would believe it is still a close to two-week-old tree since it already looked like it has grown for two years.
"Wow, with this growth rate, one more week and this Apple Tree will be a mature and fully grown tree by then. I still can’t believe I received this for free," Elaina marveled at the growing tree.
"[You deserved it. After all, that was an important milestone, and achieving that is sothing that should be celebrated," the God of Farming answered.
"It would have been fine if you had gifted
with just Farm Points but a sapling of a modified apple tree is just another story."
Despite her tone that she seed to be in disagreent with the God of Farming, she was truly grateful for this free product. With its fast growth, not only will this beco part of her venture in the future but this will also beco one of her main sources of inco every day.
Once she was done checking up on the growing Apple Tree, Elaina headed to the house of the Fey. Outside the house is the pixie that Elaina freed from the cage. She cannot fly as one of her wings is broken, which disables her ability to flap her wings and fly. If not counting her pointy ears and her wings that are still present in her back, then she will look like a small human who is currently living with others in a big mushroom house.
"How is she?" Elaina asked Bam about the pixie’s current situation.
"She is good for now but she is still pretty much unstable. She still feels depressed but we already helped her cheer up a bit despite the bleak situation she had. My wife and my daughter are doing their best to help her and they often talk together from ti to ti so that her mind will be lifted from whatever she was thinking before," Bam said while looking at the Pixie worryingly.
"Did she ever reveal her na?" Elaina asked.
"Nope. This is why we decided to adapt what our children call "Big Sister Fairy" and call her that as well. It’s much better than not giving her any na until she officially reveals her na to us."
"Fair enough. So in short, she is still not that stable?"
"Yeah. We can talk to her just fine but she still sotis goes straight to staring off to space. But I think if you tell her about this plan, I think the life in her eyes might return."
"I don’t know, this is a big revelation after all and I don’t want her to start stressing herself over this matter."
"Still, Boss. It would be best if you still revealed it to her now since there is no difference whether it will be sooner or later. It doesn’t matter so perhaps telling her much earlier might spare her the pain for a while."
"Perhaps. Then tell her to co later since I will be fishing on the stream later on. We will start discussing this matter."
Bam nodded. Elaina didn’t want to rush the fairy about this information but like what Bam said, there is no point delaying the reveal to her. Perhaps, this will even help her more than she should have been, or perhaps the condition of her ntal health will start to take its toll, it all depends on her.
Since they are still currently taking care of the remaining tasks, the Feys have not yet done anything related to the pixie just yet.
Elaina then headed to the coop and checked the Hencluckle. Lately, one of the Hencluckle is acting weird. It is much more clingy to other Hencluckles to the point that the other Hencluckles would be the ones to push away the weird one. She wondered at first if it was just sothing normal but she didn’t rember doing this behavior before or if there was sothing more than what she was seeing.
When Elaina checked on the Almanac to see if there was sothing wrong with the little guy, it ended up as negative as there were no results regarding it. It’s not sick, nor it was going to go haywire or sothing. Just plain normal. And yet what it was doing was beyond normal. Elaina didn’t want to bother the Goddess of Taming about this matter so she will just investigate it later on.
After taking the eggs from the Hencluckles and changing their food and water to fresh ones, Elaina left the coop and sighed. Once she gives birth, she will try to get so cows as a good way to get milk in the future and Elaina also welcos their monster alternative as well. But since she lacks the resources for a barn to exist, and her adventurers will not be a good idea to do while she is pregnant, she will have to wait for a few while.
With all of the jobs on the farm done, Elaina went back to the stream with her trusty rod in her hand, she headed to her usual seat and before she could even sit down, the Fairy was already sitting on the seat, waiting for Elaina. Seeing how she is there, it seems the little fairy will have to face a decision that might impact her in the future. She might not yet be ready, but she will be soon.
