Chapter 50: Combining Skills 3/4

Done with [Hell Fire], I moved onto the next skill [Fire Runes]. I skipped [Air Shell] for the sa reason I skipped [Fire Do].

[Fire Runes] were different from the rest of my spells, as it could be used to write anything out of fire. It could even be used to draw. Maybe. I think.

Either way, I had a feeling that it would work out differently than the rest of the spells I had infused with my Aura.

I already had my aura out, so all I needed to do was write so runes, after all, it wouldn’t make sense to do sothing that goes against the nature of the spell.

I started off with sothing simple, and wrote, ’Fire’ in the air.

"Fire? What about fire?" I heard Cythistia ask.

That’s when I realised that I usually used this magic to communicate to everyone. I then hastily wrote out that I was communicating with everyone with a spell and that I was going to imbue so words with my Aura.

"Oh! I didn’t realise it was a spell, I just thought you were doing so sort of mana manipulation or sothing." She exclaid.

I told her it was fine and she nodded before going back to walking along the road.

I turn back to look at the runes that said ’Fire’ only to find that they weren’t there. I looked around for them but they were nowhere to be found. It would seem that they dissipated after so ti, that or when I stopped concentrating on them, and created new runes they disappeared.

I conjured the runic word for ’Fire’ once more and imbued it with my Aura, making the flaming runes burst out and sputter sparks everywhere. I felt the fire becoming unstable and so I threw it upwards where it exploded. The reverberations of the explosion sounded out as the shockwave from the burst blew hot air down on all of us.

Everyone flinched at the heatwave that washed over us but acted like nothing had happened when it passed. I looked up at where the magical runes exploded and saw a small cloud of smouldering smoke lingering there before finally dissipating into the air.

I looked at the empty air thinking about the explosion it made, which was similar to a level five [Fireball]. That got

thinking, what if I combined these runes with my current [Fireball]? Would the effect be greater than it currently? And what about my other fire spells? How will they be affected by these runes?

I smile with glee at the prospect that I’ve beco so much more powerful with just one ability, and I haven’t even seen the start of this power. It’s a whole new gateway to new abilities, but I shouldn’t get ahead of myself, I’ll experint with that tomorrow probably.

The last spell [Water Summon] I don’t really need to do anything with as I only use it as a fresh water source.

And that’s the end of my magic skill tree. ’Oh wow. I didn’t think I’d get through all my magic so fast. Huh... Onto Racial, I guess? Or should I try out my Aura with my other Bloodline skills? Eh, why not? I only have three other Bloodline skills that can be used in a more unique way.’

Looking over them I decided not to combine it with [Lust Fla] as I felt that would end badly. In an orgy type of way. That left

with [Elental Scales] and [Regeneration]. I don’t think I can infuse my Aura with my regeneration as it’s more of a passive skill, plus I’m not injured right now. Sure, it may speed things up but I don’t really see a need to see or do that right now.

That leaves [Elental Scales]. Which, now that I think about it, does it cover my whole body or just the part covered in scales, which would be my tail? ’Only one way to find out.’

My mana surged throughout my body in a way that I’d never felt before, it was like a wave of cool air flowing throughout every pore in my body. It felt refreshing. But I didn’t feel any of the mana leaving my body and creating any magical scales.

’Oh, right, it says Elental not magic. I hope it doesn’t go as badly as it did when trying to add Elents to my Aura.’

I chose water again just to be safe and as soon as I did, the mana inside of

turned colder before seeping outside of

like squeezing a sponge. It splashed onto the surface of my skin and my scales before solidifying and covering my whole body.

I looked at the transparent and glowing blue sheen that covered . I raised my arm to observe it. It looked like flowing water, but suspended in place. I raised my other hand up and poked it with my finger, causing it to stir, sending ripples across the surface of it. I suppose now I need to infuse this magic with my Aura.

I send my Aura surging forth into the spell. I saw it start flowing rapidly like a river but that was it. Maybe it would be better to use it with an elent I’m more familiar with, but that would an using either a harmful one like [Poison] or [Fire], or use [Lust] but I think that may just end up with

fucking Cythistia.

I stopped supplying the spell with mana and it started to drip away like I was wet.

With those skills out of the way it was ti to move onto the [Racial] skill tree, which had two sub trees. [Succubus] and [Naga]. The [Naga] tree doesn’t have as many skills so I’ll start with that one.

I have [Apex Predator], [Intimidation] and [Paralysing Stare]. I can rule out [Intimidation] as that would probably work better with [Bloodline Suppression] better, although [Bloodline Aura] could improve it more I still feel that [Bloodline Suppression] would be more effective.

That leaves [Apex Predator] and [Paralysing Stare]. I don’t think I can do this with [Apex Predator] as I think that’s more of a passive skill. So all that’s left is [Paralysing Stare]. I look around to see if there was anyone or anything to use it on but all I saw was Cythistia, her brother, the rangers and Dorrak.

My gaze remains on Dorrak, I still haven’t forgotten about how he did nothing during that battle yesterday. He could have easily finished the whole thing in one blow but no, he was worried that I was their target or sothing. I don’t rember what he said to

because I stopped listening to him shortly after he started making excuses.

I think I’ve found my test target. Call it being petty but I’m still mad at him.

I charge up the spell and feel the mana flowing into my eyes. I imbue my Aura into the mana and activate [Paralysing Stare] while staring at Dorrak.

It kicked in imdiately as I saw him stiffen up mid step, before he fell to the side.

"Pfft." I snort at the sight and Cythistia turns to look at

before turning her gaze to where I was looking and stifled, trying to not giggle.

The rest of the rangers looked over one by one and were the sa. Eventually they hauled him over the back of one of them and resu their walking.
