Chapter 345: So Other Things

Zatyraa out on a warm and apologetic smile as she explained what that was all about.

"Apologies, I was speaking to one of the other Emberin Ladies, and she did not believe

when I told her about you."

I feel like there’s more to it than that, but I couldn’t really care much to be honest. I just wanted to go ho.

"It’s whatever," I gave a dismissive gesture with my hand and continued, "There’s sothing else I wanted to know. How exactly did those oligarchs manage to get

all the way from Krara city to Kinlo city. Because I was wondering if I could maybe use them to go back a bit quicker?"

"I believe they had a private teleportation network. And now that I think about it, because they’re being ousted from their posts and society in general, we could take hold of said network for ourselves." Zatyraa mumbled sowhat excitedly.

I decided to throw an idea that I had just thought of to her, "Well, I would suggest opening it up for public use, at a price, since I doubt you’d be using it all the ti. It would also be a good source of inco now that the oligarchs won’t be funding you."

"I appreciate your suggestion, but for the ti being, we’ll be fine since we’ll also be seizing all their wealth as well. As for any of their businesses will be freed from their hold and left to fend for themselves once this is all over."

"Yeah, but if you don’t charge for it from the start, then the people will be upset when you do start charging them." I pointed out, and she seed to have only just realised that.

But she just brushed it off, saying, "It’s fine, they Emberin of Resources and Wealth will handle those things. For now though, we should be able to use them for our own benefit to fulfil your orders. Until then, they won’t be accessible to the public anyways."

I just nodded and decided to leave the details to the higher ups, since they’re a lot wiser and more experienced with these kinds of things.

That being said, it seems that there seems to be so internal conflict with the Emberin Ladies apparently.

"So, what exactly was that when I ca in? Like why did she not believe you?"

Zatyraa sighed as she begun to explain, "That was the Emberin Lady of Justice and Righteousness. She’s a relatively new mber on the council, she’s very strict and thodical when it cos to analysing things, refusing to believe things unless provided a convincing argunt. A good trait for soone with her position and title, but it makes her rather obstinate and hard to deal with at tis."

Ah... I have no reaction to that to be honest. I was never much of a religious person after all, what with my father being such a being and all that.

"Regardless of that, I have already contacted two of the remaining three Emberin’s and they have agreed to spread your orders. Just need to contact Tryzara now. That’s the Emberin of Resources and Wealth by the way."

I didn’t say anything and simply nodded.

"... Is there a reason you ca to see ?" Zatyraa asked in an effort to not let an awkward silence befall us.

"Oh yeah, I was wondering if I could maybe use the teleportation network to go back ho. I don’t want to travel there directly or by other ans."

I could use the Illuminati’s network since Kinlo is a big city, so they should have hidey holes here as well. But I didn’t want to use those as it might seem suspicious as to how I moved around so far so quickly.

"Of course, you’re free to use them as and when you wish, free of charge." She spoke with a soft, reverent tone. "Actually... Would you mind if I take you on a little detour to the capital city? Just so that I can clear things up with the rest of the Sect’s higher ups, mainly Katzyrr, the one I was talking to when you ca in."

"Sure, why not. But I don’t want to stay there for longer than a day. I want to go ho to not worry my friends."

She smiled and agreed, "I will do my best to conform to your wishes." But she also apologised, "Though, we will have to leave tomorrow though, since I have to get things ready and finish things up here though, so please bear with

for the ti being."

"That’s... Fine I guess." I said begrudgingly, as I really just wanted to go ho and get back to as much of a normal life as possible.

After that I left since I didn’t really have much else to say.

Upon leaving the guards outside where still there and bowed, asking politely if I had finished. I said I was and asked why when I suddenly saw an unexpectedly large line of Sect mbers waiting to enter Zatyraa’s office.

’I hope she can get through all that by the days end so we can leave tomorrow.’ Was my thought as I left with the guards.

They asked

what I would like to do next so that they could escort and protect . I thought about it for a minute and decided to head to the library.

But as we were heading there, we heard a loud screech.

"FFFUUUUUUUCCCCKKKK!!!!"

It ca from the Emberin Lady’s office. Seems that she’s just realised how long the line is and how much work she has to do, along with the stuff I piled onto her also.

’Goddess bless her with the will and energy to get through this’ I gave a little prayer for her because I felt she’d need it.

The rest of that day went by fairly quick as I read up on so of the scriptures that explained more on how exactly the Sect worked. And it was really interesting. Plus, I didn’t have to eat since I still had my al from earlier digesting away inside .

Eventually it got late and I was brought back to the sa room I woke up in. I smiled lightly as I got into bed and curled up under the blanket and quickly drifted off to sleep.

The following morning, I was abruptly woken up when soone entering my room without knocking.

It was Shayllaa.

"Traytora, are you awake? The Emberin says that it’s ti to go."

Just like yesterday, I begrudgingly got out of bed, a little sad that I’d have to say goodbye to the soft comfort and peace it brought .

But eventually, I was able to pry myself out of bed. With a little help from Shayllaa that is.

And once I was out, I was brought to Zatyraa, who was surrounded by several Cinder custodians, all of which where completely kitted out in lots of heavy armour, alongside several other of the Sects variously ranked mbers.

Zatyraa and I nodded at each other and we were on our way to the capital city.
