Chapter 336: Ruining Their Lives
"Y-You!" One of the females among these aristocrats glared at
hatefully after what I just said
I rolled my eyes. ’Of course they speak up when their wealth is at stake.’
"Y-You have no idea! You have no idea what will happen if you do that, what kind of chaos will happen!"
I think this woman was one of the one’s wearing on of them silvery masks? Whatever, not important anymore.
"You’re right, I don’t. And I don’t care. You bastards wanted to ruin my life, and now I’m going to ruin yours. And while I’m at it, make sure you can never do anything like this again, so as to never let you ruin the lives of others like you were going to do to ."
"W-We were protecting th-the pe-"
"Shut up. You never cared about the people, you only cared about your own self interests and filling your pockets with as much money as possible. That’s all you people do. You only say that as a farce to cover up your real intentions. Isn’t that right?"
That last question ca out with a commanding intent, which amplified by my [Bloodline Aura], forced the bitch to answer it against her will.
"Y-Y-Yeeeee..." She strained herself, trying to resist my command, but I just focused more of my own will onto her and she buckled, "Y-Y-Y-Yeeesss..."
Everyone of her fellow aristocrats seed to be horrified that she said that. And I would imagine that the low-ranking mbers were tricked into thinking this was true whilst the higher-ranking mbers of this group didn’t want this to co true.
But after a few seconds, they all glared at
with even more fury in their eyes than before.
"Mmm, as expected. Now why don’t you tell the Sect EXACTLY what you were going to do to , hmm? I’m sure they’ll be DELIGHTED to hear it." My sarcasm could not be more obvious with the way I strained my words in an overly cutesy manner.
And like before, she resisted as best she could, even more so than before, as if she really didn’t want this to b reveal.
’Well tough shit bitch, you’ll spill everything whether you want to or not, and then you’ll be stripped of everything yourself. Ironic, really. You’ve probably spent countless decades or even centuries doing just to keep yourself in power, and making others suffer pointlessly in the process.’
As I seethed about the unfairness she imposed on people like , she ended up spilling everything, from having my power drained, being denounced from our entire race basically, and literally wishing misfortune upon .
Needless to say, when I turned back to look at the expressions of the Sect mbers, I did not expect to see them all having gotten off the floor and now glaring at the aristocrats with a deathly expression.
Seriously, their faces were that of the dead. Except for their eyes. Their eyes held an unbelievably intense animosity that was directed towards the aristocrats.
I think they were angrier than
in this situation, and I’m trying to be calm. I might not be showing it, but I’m still furious right now. But they look even angrier than
right now.
But that might just be them as a collective group, since they were all glaring down at the aristocrats collectively.
I suppose it makes sense though, them being this angry that is. Here I am, the literal descendant of the very Goddess that they worship, and these people wanted to basically strip
of everything I had and more.
But seeing that they were fuming just like , I decided to ask them, "I can see you’re nearly dying of rage. How would you suggest they get punished?"
Their leader, or the person at the front whom I assud to be their leader. turned to look at , her eyes so incredibly focused with the fiery hatred instantly becoming much softer and nicer to look at, gave her input.
She bowed and suggested this, "I believe I speak for everyone in the Sect of the Naga, whether here or not, when I say that we should absolutely strip them of everything they have and more. And even make sure they’re subjected to even more scrutiny than they intended to cause to you."
"I an, I was going to do that already, but what did you have in mind?" It was heartening to know she wanted to do the sa, but I was kind of hoping that she would be able to suggest more than that.
"Obviously strip them of their wealth and status, but also condemn them to eternal exile from the Serpentine Empire. Alon-" She was abruptly cut off.
"Wh-What?! Y-You can’t d-do that! W-We’re the backbone of this-" The aristocrat was then cut of herself by the woman she interrupted.
"SILENCE! You have no right to object to anything we say or do to you. Not after you insulted our Goddess so ruthlessly, by trying to sacrifice her own descendant to her."
The absolute horror that appeared on every aristocrat’s face upon hearing the acolyte make such a claim so vehently and with such reverence. They seem to have finally realised what kind of shit they’d gotten themselves into.
It may not be that prevalent, seeing as most religions are not all that active in society, being more of a passive force. But if soone like
cos along or soone does sothing inexcusably offensive to their person or even object of worship, then they beco terrifying forces of power.
And when this happens, they usually go on what I think is called a Divine Pilgrimage. Which, more often than not, end up in bloodshed.
Either way, I didn’t care about that, as currently, I was more interested in hearing more of what the acolyte would say.
"You have taken advantage of us for far too long now, and it’s ti that soone puts you in your place. Everything you’ve ever held dear will be taken away from you. You fucked up this ti, and you will never have any peace again, we will make sure of it."
Wow, that’s threatening, especially since the way she finished it off sounded incredibly violent and nacing. The aristocrats now visibly shaking in fear, so of them having already fainted once again for sheer disbelief and shock.
I also noticed that she was repeating what she’d already said, and that I should probably move things along or we might end up in a loop of making these aristocrats fall into utter despair.
"That’s enough talking. Now, we do it."
