Chapter 208: Mana Heart?

"Hello again, little one." The ancient and booming elegant voice of Nachash resounded inside of my head.

"Hello, Nachash." I greeted back. "So, what am I doing here?" I asked, looking around but seeing nothing other than the ethereal figures of Nachash and the blue one.

"I’m not entirely sure I’m afraid I couldn’t see things very well just now." Nachash replied with an apologetic tone. "I wish I could say more, but I couldn’t see what happened."

"I saw what happened." A deep and rumbling voice, layered with an endless layered hissing called out.

I looked over towards the source of the voice and saw that the figure of the blue serpent had beco more defined, much more defined. As did Nachash now that I look at him, with the faint outline of his scales being present.

But his form didn’t matter right now as the form of the blue one did, as it ant that I had synchronized with him or his power sohow in so way.

"You know what happened? Tell us then." I asked eagerly.

There was a mont of silence which in the dark and seemingly unending void, which also felt bigger now sohow, the blue serpent spoke.

"You died."

Those words reverberated throughout my soul, echoing infinitely and just getting louder and louder the more they echoed inside of , both taphorically and literally.

I scread and the words stopped. I looked back at the blue serpent in mild fear and confusion and asked, "What do you an by that."

"I an exactly what I said. You died." Thankfully the voices didn’t ring out like a cacophony of a flock of birds this ti and just faded into the distance.

"But- That- If I died, then how am I here? This is a part of my soul, and if I’m dead, how can I be inside of it? Shouldn’t I be in Hell or sothing?" I stuttered, baffled as to how I could be here.

I shouldn’t be able to be here, as this ans that my soul is still alive. Right?

"Normally, yes. Your soul would be transferred to one of the dead realms by the reapers, but for so reason, that hasn’t happened." Nachash explained to his own bewildernt.

"That’s because you have a very special skill, and under these very special circumstances, along with our power and many more factors, you lived anyways." The blue serpent clarified in a way that didn’t clarify anything and just made

even more confused with its cryptic words.

So I told it that, "That still doesn’t explain anything."

"I was getting there." The blue serpent battered at

angrily before it continued. "I was about to say that all of this combined allowed

to influence the raging mana within your heart and transform both of them into one."

"W-Wait... You don’t an..." Nachash stuttered in shock as he looked over to his companion who looked back.

"Indeed." The blue serpent nodded at Nachash as the both of them turned back to gaze at . "She now has the illustrious and illusive treasure than will make any magic user go insane."

I stare at the both of them, my gaze shifting between the two with a look of ignorance, wanting them to tell

what the hell they were talking about. I audibly heard Nachash gulp before he gave

an answer.

"You have a Mana Heart."

I blinked. I had no idea what that was.

So I asked them, "What is that?"

The two of them stared at

in disbelief for a second before they both sighed and began to explain to

what a Mana Heart was.

Apparently it was the result of an ancient ritual of so kind from before the recreation of the world that allowed the user to turn their entire heart into a Mana Core.

And every magic user in the world sought to obtain one for themselves and would even wage war against an individual who had one. And these wars would end up resulting in ninety percent of the magic users being killed and the Mana Heart sohow being lost and or destroyed in the process.

The more they told

about the known history of Mana Hearts, the more the fear in my heart grew as I heard about there being several wars happening all across the world whenever this happened. And if soone managed to create one within themselves like I did, then they would do unspeakable things to those people to either know how they did it or extract it out of them.

"Stop, Ouroboros. You’re scaring the poor child." Nachash berated the blue serpent whom I now know as Ouroboros.

Wait...

"She needs to know the severity about this situation otherwise she’ll get careless and end up just like the people I’m talking about." Ouroboros rebuked.

"Yes, but I think you’ve made your point quite clear by now." Nachash stated in annoyance.

"Right..." Ouroboros conceded once he noticed

panicking. "Don’t worry. I have a potential thod to hide this. Whether or not it works... I don’t know."

I looked at the blue lined serpent in desperation, my eyes pleading for its help.

Ouroboros sighed before the end of its tail ca in from nowhere and tapped my forehead, and the thod, or technique I should say was deposited inside of my mind.

Once it did that, I could feel myself waking up once again. But there was still sothing I desperately wanted to know, so I forced myself to stay here just a bit longer even though it started to hurt my very soul.

"Wait! Before I go, please, tell , how exactly did you help

create my Mana Heart." I pleaded.

There was a mont of silence before Ouroboros explained.

"You have a very unique skill called [Death Resistance], which allowed

to protect your Soul from being obliterated from the [Spatial Flas] released by the core you created exploding, using that very power. Then, to revive your body, I used the excess mana flas and poured them back into the shards within your heart and accidentally fused them all together."

"That’s bullshit." Nachash cried out in disbelief.

"It’s true." Ouroboros retorted before it explained further. "Your [Death Resistance] allowed you to survive dying with my help, but if you didn’t have the bloodlines of Asmodeus and #@1~>?%!, along with my own inheritance, I doubt your heart would’ve been able to withstand such a thing."

"Wait, wha-" I wanted to ask more but was stopped as my mind and soul finally couldn’t take it anymore as I was pulled out of that space and returned to my body.

I opened my eyes and my upper body flung up with a huge gasp for air.
