Chapter 165: Lilyvyn’s Trials

"So what was your first trial like then? Did you need this demon’s contract?" I asked with curiosity.

"No, I didn’t need it, not for the summoner anyways." I was going to ask, but didn’t as I’m sure she would explain later anyways. "And as for the trial, or the summoning more rather, it went well. I was summoned by this rat woman, who was apparently being cheated on by her husband, and she wanted

to suck him almost to death."

"I told her that this was my first ti using it on a real living being and that this was my first ever summon so I might accidentally kill. She shrugged and just said it was fine, but asked

to at least try, to which I said I would. And I did, and I actually succeeded, although there wasn’t much ti left for him in this world, so I gave him the choice to give in to

and sign the contract to give his soul to

in order to live."

"Wow... You think I could do this kind of thing in the future? It seems interesting and I really wanna give it a go." I inquired, expressing my interest in this matter.

"Well... I guess I could give you a contract, but what would you use it for? And when would you even do that?" She inquired back.

"I dunno. I just want one so that when the ti cos I have it. I feel like it’ll co in handy soday." I told her, my reasoning rather vague yet also simple.

"Well, you can have this one then I guess." She said as a golden parchnt appeared with a puff of pink smoke in her hands and handed it to .

"Thanks, I appreciate this." I said thanking her.

She giggled and said, "You’re welco. Now where was I? Oh right, so anyways, I made this man sign the contract with

that would give

his soul so that he would be able to live, the thing is, I didn’t say how long, and he didn’t specify, so I got to choose. Hehehe~" She giggle with a devious glint in her expression.

"So what happened next? What exactly happened to that man?" I questioned curiously.

"Well~ When the man signed the contract, I gave him a little boost so hat he would live a bit longer, but due to the contract he signed, as soon as his wife was done tornting him or whatever he wanted, that boost I gave to his vitality would return to , and he would be dead without it, so the mont his wife was done with him, so too, was his life." She said with a sinister smile.

She continued, "After that I returned to the woman who summoned

and explained what had happened and the deal I made with him. I explained fully what the contract entailed, and upon hearing that the man tried to run away, but I told him that that would’ve been a breach of the contract, which would forfeit his life."

"And that was my first trial. I returned to Hell safely and when I told Mommy, she congratulated

on a job well done, and when I told her about the soul I had collected through the contract, she threw a party and invited the rest of her adopted children, whom all of which are basically my sisters, and threw a celebration as what I just did was a rather big achievent."

"Woah, really? That was an achievent?"

"Yeah, at least, for

it was, considering I was just a Succu Imp at the ti, and not a Succubus. That achievent was actually what got

to be promoted into a Succubus, but I had to et so other requirents before I could evolve into a higher species. And before you ask, I had to gather more demonic energy and have claim over at Least ten souls."

"Wow, that sounds like a lot of work. How long did it take for you to reach those requirents?" I inquired.

"Well, it took

a hundred years to gather the required demonic energy, and in that ti, I’d only managed to collect another two souls. That might now sound impressive, but at the ti, it was, and still is considered impressive, especially because of my race at the ti."

"So how long did it take for you to obtain the remaining seven souls?"

"Uhh. I’m embarrassed to admit it, but...F-Four... Hundred... Years..." She mumbled.

"Four hundred?!?" I shouted back at her.

"Y-Yeah, I know, given my rate of growth with demonic energy, I should’ve gotten those souls sooner, but it was surprisingly hard to actually accomplish this as the years dragged on. Still, I managed to complete this second trial and evolved into what I currently am, a lesser Succubus." She finished off.

"So what cos after that? Is it just like a greater Succubi or sothing?"

"Yeah, pretty much, then after that is a True Succubus and then sothing else after that, but only True Succubi are allowed to know what that’s called. Apparently, the knowledge would kill us if we knew or sothing like that."

"Weird..."

"Yeah..."

A silence descended upon us as the conversation reached and end. And in an attempt to break the silence, Lilyvyn asked

sothing.

"Soo... Why are you even down here in the first place?"

"Oh, simple, I’m following the slis." I answered.

"Those one’s?" She inquired, to which I nodded. She then asked, "But why?"

"I was on my way back to the desert when I encountered one of them in the forest. It then led

here and I just decided to continue following it because... I dunno. I just feel like I should. And... I guess it’s been a pretty okay experience so far. It’s been... Relaxing? I dunno, it just helps

process things whenever I have sex." I elaborated.

"Huh... That’s not sothing I’ve ever heard of happening before."

"Well, I doubt any of you have gone through even a fraction of what I have..." I trailed off at the end there, actively repressing those mories.

"..."

Silence descended upon us once again and just like before, Lilyvyn broke the silence.

"Uhh... Is there... Anything else, you’d like to know? About

or Hell in general?" She asked anxiously.

"Hmm..." I thought about it for a second and drew a blank right now. I’m sure I’ll ask more later on in our future conversations, but for now, I needed to make sure that she could get the ssage to my father.

"Do you have so blank paper?"

"Uuhhhh... I... Think? I do? Why? What do you need it for?"

"You’re going to be my ssenger, rember?"

"Ahhhh! I totally forgot about that! Please forgive !!!" She cried out in embarrassnt.

"It’s okay Lilyvyn, I’m the one that got us side tracked anyways, you have nothing to apologise for. So, do you have so spare paper?" I asked.

"Sorry. And no, I don’t have spare paper on , but I’m sure that we could just use the back of a contract. And please, call

Lily." Lily replied.

"Okay, Lily it is. Can you hand

an extra contract then?" I asked, not wanting to use the one I already had in my hand, as that was for later, whenever later was.

"Sure." She said cheerily as she summoned another contract along with a quill out of thin air and handed it to .

"Where exactly do these things co from? Like where are you storing them?" I asked curiously, as I wasn’t sure how it worked and was curious if I could replicate it to so degree. It would make storing things so much easier.

"Well, it’s a natural skill of ours called [Succu Storage] and allows us to store things that we might be able to use for our nefarious deeds." She explained with a sowhat sinister undertone.

"Can you teach ?" I requested.

"I would be honoured to teach you." She spoke whilst smiling with glee.

"Great! Just let

write this ssage to my father first, okay?"

"Kay!"

I finished writing what I wanted to say and rolled it back up and handed the contract scroll back to her.

During this ti, we had been continuing to follow the seven slis down the never-ending path. At this point, I wasn’t sure if there was an end to this place or not, but it was probably too late to back out now with how far I’d co.

"Ready to learn [Succu Storage]?" Lily asked

with a smile.

I nodded my head in response and she began teaching .

She explained that she herself didn’t quite understand how everything works so she might say so things that are wrong and to say sothing if I thought as such. And after a couple of hours of practice and learning on both sides, I managed to get the skill.

Except, it wasn’t quite the skill I was expecting.
