"I didn’t expect you to visit us so suddenly, Mr Arah. Sothing really important must have happened for you to co, and the fact that you said you ca to check up on us makes everything even more confusing." George said suddenly.
Light shook his head up and down when he heard these words.
"Dangerous things are really happening. I need to check every single person in your camp, one by one, with my ability. I don’t want anything dangerous to happen to you. I also need to tell you that my group is growing. I have an offer for you."
When Light said these words, George curiously moved his chair closer to the table and started to listen carefully.
"I have managed to build a group of more than 500 people and only good-hearted people. If you want to co with , I will take everyone who has no evil in their hearts with . Everyone will have warm hos, hot water and food to eat. I only need your approval."
After these words, Light was silent and waited for George, who looked at him in a puzzled way, to start talking.
"I don’t know whether you will treat the people here well if I co there or not, sir. I have heard many stories about you, but I can’t say that I know you very well. Still, I’ve heard rumours that Birmingham is emptying out. It pays to have widespread lines of information, after all," George said suddenly, wanting to know the full extent of Light’s promises.
"Well, we can do this instead. I have a new proposal. Vacate Warwick Castle. Co with as far as Powys in Wales and set up a compound in the centre. We’ve got electrical engineers, plumbers, plumbers and more. I can help you establish a territory where you can maintain your leadership and in return I want you to beco a force that can help when I want you to. How’s that?" Light said.
Everything he said and offered was priceless. It was full of snow outside, it was not difficult to get a source of clean water. People didn’t die of thirst like this anyway, of course, bacteria and many other things were a frightening reality, but the snow was not dirty.
It was just that the red sun was a big problem with the amount of liquid consud at the sa ti.
So this ant that in exchange for food from the Light and the loan of their people’s skills to the Forsaken, a truly unshakeable power zone could be achieved.
"These suggestions are excellent sir, though I must ask, I understand that what you want from us in return is a helping hand, a helping hand that we should be at your disposal. However, why co to us when you can get it from larger groups? When we remind you of bad things?" George asked. The question was of course very important for him, after all, George knew next to nothing about Light.
Satisfying his curiosity would be the most important thing right now.
"It’s a church, George. A group uses unknown religious figures, dismbering won trying to warn people, and using mutation to inject themselves in bad ways. They are dangerous and have tried to get into Birmingham. Now that they’ve lured everyone safe in Birmingham, your safety is being jeopardised. I’m here to save you because you’re useful to , simple as that."
In response to Light’s answer, George seed to know exactly what to say, or rather what to ask, a question that existed more as a way of correcting his anness:
"So... you want to use us, in a way."
After George’s question, Light shook his head and then said, "In such a shitty world and in such a shitty ti, most people would benefit, and you are a man with a pure heart, which ans that it would be much better for to use you than for the sons of bitches in the church to use you. At least I’m choosing to help people instead of slaughtering them."
George started to shake his head at these words, if what Light said was true, it would be better for them to leave this place imdiately.
Since the number of the enemy was unknown, how many of them, how strong they were, and so on, this unknown danger was growing even more.
That’s why George didn’t know what to say.
"Agreed," Olivia said suddenly. When George heard this, he turned to his wife and questioned, "What?"
"Co on George, people die every day, if it wasn’t for Mr Arah most of them would be dead by now, including our own family. Do you think he has any reason to lie to us? If he wanted us dead, wouldn’t he have co here with five hundred people? Even if he didn’t, who knows what he’s capable of, we have to trust soone for once," Olivia said, and she wasn’t wrong.
In the real world, not everyone can be trusted, and often no one can be trusted. Still, in the darkest of tis, when even hope seed elusive, at least trying to trust soone could be good for everything and everyone.
It wasn’t sothing that always had to happen, but trusting one person in one of the hundred actions you took could change your life.
Olivia was willing to take the risk and the danger. She just needed George to accept it.
When George heard his wife’s words, he stood up and said, "I choose to trust you, Mr Arah, and may our friendship endure."
George’s words were an order to move the Forsaken group.
"Please gather all the people around us, I will check everyone one by one, those with evil in their hearts will be sent from here to Birmingham, alone, there is no reason for these people to live, after all, they are all criminals." Light said and then shook George’s hand.
Now it could all begin.
