Chapter 682: Declaration - (1)
The Chamber Playground was definitely not just talk; Felix was very serious about this.
The mbers of the Frontline Watchtower had already experienced the first project, which the Creevey brothers called 'Tunnel Passage,' a na that everyone found fitting. In a long, damp underground pipeline, they felt like they were walking in a deep sea crevice, floating lightly under the influence of floating magical runes, spinning and continuously descending. After the initial discomfort, they quickly fell in love with this ga, shouting happily.
The light of the Lumos Charm guided them to a circular clearing.
Harry recognized the place where previously there were remnants of rats and small animals – all eaten by the serpent, but now all gone. Though still damp and dirty, it was no longer as eerie. Pushing open the last door, the sight before the students was breathtaking.
Before them lay a small town much larger than Hogsade, with snow-capped mountains, forests, deserts, lakes... Each area was not large, but various terrains were harmoniously combined like colorful puzzle pieces. Above them, the sky was blue with fluffy clouds. At the entrance, they found a huge signboard.
"I haven't seen this before," Harry swallowed, pointing to the ground. "Last ti I was here, there was only a small path, and I followed it all the way..." He closed his mouth, but Ron and Hermione understood what he ant – he encountered Voldemort.
"Hey! Look, there are many attractions listed here," exclaid Seamus, staring at the lines and descriptions on the signboard. "Flying roller coaster..." "I think that's it," Dean interjected, pointing to the long snake-shaped carriage passing over the mountaintop, "Looks like so kind of sightseeing tool."
"Oh, don't interrupt," Seamus continued, "There's also... hmm, Barbaric Quidditch, Future Library, Interactive Murals, High-altitude Swing, Rapid Shooting, Ideal Architect... Wow! I can't wait, but it seems like a long way to go."
"Here it says – you can ring the bell to summon a ride, or use your wand to shoot red sparks," Neville said, turning his head and staring at a tal object in front of him, which looked like an enlarged desk lamp, except several tis larger, with the bulb replaced by a tal bell.
"What are we waiting for?" Dean exclaid excitedly. "I want to try Barbaric Quidditch!"
Harry also had a fondness for anything with the na 'Quidditch' in it. With everyone urging him on, Neville rang the bell. They waited for about a minute, and the sound of hooves ca from afar. A group of luminous animals ran over and stopped in front of them.
"Magical creatures?" Hermione said in astonishnt, looking around. She knew what this ant: magical creatures couldn't exist for long, so everything here was like things in a Pensieve, controlled by Professor Harp.
Next, everyone chose their favorite animals.
Harry chose a creature that looked like a winged horse with an eagle's head. He approached it, hesitating whether to bow to those shiny eyes. But Justin had already climbed onto a giant phoenix, asking uncertainly near its pink wing, "Can you understand what I'm saying? I want to go on the roller coaster, that's..."
The phoenix imdiately started running on its two long legs. Justin scread, grabbing its pink wings, and quickly disappeared from everyone's sight.
The remaining people looked at each other for a mont, then beca even more excited.
"Well... I'll go to the Future Library first, and then see the Interactive Murals. I don't know what Ideal Architect ans, but the High-altitude Swing sounds nice and quiet..." Hermione chattered away.
They split up at the entrance, with giant creatures carrying them towards their destinations. The journey was not boring; the 'winged horse' under Harry's feet was not slow, so in just two minutes, he arrived at his destination.
Before him was a huge golden birdcage-like hollow structure. Standing in the sandy ground, he felt waves of heat in the air, and he suddenly realized that it had been over a month since the Quidditch final, and he couldn't wait to play a ga. Dean was waving at him excitedly!
"Hey, Harry, check this out," Dean exclaid excitedly, sitting on a flying broomstick. Sohow, a huge blue transparent bubble of Windyroot completely enveloped him.
Harry touched the material, feeling a tough texture akin to leather at his fingertips. With a spark of insight, he grasped the concept of Quidditch Barbarian. Soon enough, he mounted his broomstick, and the two of them dove and clashed like barbarians - under the protection of bubbles, there was no concern about getting hurt; the bubbles would bounce them away.
Harry experienced the fun of the now-defunct Quidditch ga format known as "Aerial Collision," a pleasure only found in history. Of course, he found the professor's approach much safer and more civilized.
They played vigorously for a while, and at so point, Neville and Ginny joined in. Harry beca even more excited and fully imrsed. Just when faces were about to collide head-on, the flexible bubbles ca into play - deforming upon impact, then spinning them away, forcing them to control their direction vigorously. This tested their broomstick handling skills. Dean, despite his efforts, couldn't avoid colliding with the birdcage and then bouncing away again.
Seizing the opportunity, Harry let out a roar, relieving his emotions. Anyone blocking his path was knocked down. As he celebrated his third victory with a fist pump, he turned around to find Ginny missing.
Neville pointed innocently with a finger towards the exit.
"I don't think she left too happily," he said.
"Um—"
Harry hurriedly left the Quidditch Barbarian's birdcage. The Hippogriff was still there, waiting for him, but he couldn't find Ginny's Thestral. He looked up, and a huge roller coaster flew overhead. Harry's eyes caught a glimpse of the Patil sisters' ponytails hanging down from the open carriage, and he heard their excited screams as the roller coaster looped through the air like a caterpillar.
He mounted the Hippogriff and began searching around. Soon, he spotted Ginny's silhouette against a huge rock wall - her fiery red hair was unmistakable. He walked over, but Ginny was aloof. Harry had an idea and started talking about Quidditch Barbarian techniques, and Ginny quickly perked up, listening intently.
Seeing Ginny's expression brighten, Harry felt relieved. He quickly pointed at the brown rock wall and asked, "What's this?" He looked around and saw Katie Bell, Raven Branstone, and Terry Boot watching with great interest.
"Interactive wall," Ginny said. "Ron's inside—"
Harry widened his eyes, looking at the wall. On it were doodle-like lines, seemingly the work of soone not skilled in drawing. A winding and twisting black line represented undulating hills, and at the mont, a crudely drawn figure was climbing the hill.
"Is that Ron?"
"Yeah," Ginny said with a mischievous smile. "Watch this, I figured out a little trick." With that, she took out her wand and drew a circle on the wall. In Harry's astonished expression, the circle seed to turn into a huge boulder rolling down the hill.
"Who's fooling around?"
Ron's clear shout ca from the wall as his figure punched the boulder, ten tis his size, away.
"I should have made it solid," Ginny said regretfully. She saw Harry's expression. "Oh, don't worry—the person in the wall isn't in any danger. We can only set up so obstacles or conveniences for them. It's a bit like mischief; I think Fred and George would love it here..."
Soon, Ron found himself facing a massive gorge with no path forward. Raven Branstone waved her wand on the wall, drawing two bat wings, which Ron picked up. Flapping the bat wings, he reached the mountaintop (represented by a straight line), where a huge chair was depicted, and on it sat—
"Valen?" Harry rubbed his eyes.
"This is the scene of a warrior fighting a demon," Raven said, her eyes fixed on the wall.
