He gestured for the guards to stand down and left the place.

Once they walked out of the castle, a young man who was considered Ren Gengxin’s right hand growled out in frustration, "How dare he disrespect Lord Ren by addressing him in such a way, without even addressing him with the title. Even his father spoke in the sa tone earlier."

Ren Gengxin raised his hand, gesturing for him to shut his mouth.

As the bodyguard apologized for his loudmouth, Ren Gengxin looked back at the castle made of white granite and let out a smirk, "Their doom has already been set into motion. We’ll just sit back and watch."

The next day morning;

Qin Wei and his brother appeared at the Divinian Hall in secret, not intending to give any chance for the dia to cause an unnecessary commotion.

And to make sure no one spread the news too, the Divinian Hall’s Bishop was also inford beforehand.

As a result, a notice was placed outside that it would be closed for the day.

Both the brothers secretly entered the hall through the backdoor and t the Bishop.

The Bishop asked them to follow him to the awakening chamber.

The awakening chamber was rather simple without any decorations. In a plain room, there was a marble stone in the shape of a prism. While the stone holds no significance, the mystical runes carved on it are important for the ritual.

The Bishop of the Divinian Hall then asked the kid to sit down on the platform before the awakening stone.

Qin Wei nodded and followed the instructions. After sitting in a lotus position, he closed his eyes.

"Verdathor enarandu, solinthar..."

The Bishop then recited a spell of long incantation, activating the runes inscribed on the awakening stone.

The runes lit up and golden chains of energy shot into Arceus from the stone.

In the next instant, they passed through his body like sunrays and shot out of him before disappearing into thin air.

The Bishop looked at Qin Yu and shook his head in disappointnt.

"A plainfolk, huh?" Qin Yu let out a deep sigh and sat down on the floor, not knowing what he should do now.

Chapter 5:

The ten-year-old continued to stay seated with his eyes closed for the next fifteen to twenty seconds. Feeling no surge of power inside him, he opened his eyes to look at his brother, only to see him in depression.

At once, realization dawned upon him and tears filled his eyes.

He got up and started running away.

"Xiao Wei, where are you going? Wait..." Qin Yu followed him from behind. He caught his brother and hugged him as the latter was crying without letting out any voice.

Usually, people who are mute could still make so type of sound but Qin Wei couldn’t do that either even while crying. It’s as if he was born with no vocal cords.

Qin Wei’s heart broke when he saw that.

"Now, let’s stop crying, brother. Awakening a spirit beast and mana isn’t everything. We have huge deposits of Arcanite in our treasury and a whole lot in the mines. You can still train like warriors and use them to stand on par with the rest of the Divinians. Okay?"

Wiping his tears, Qin Yu further said while looking into his eyes, "Now, my brother is a brave boy, isn’t he?"

As the little boy nodded, Qin Yu forced himself to smile and continued, "You shouldn’t give up just because of a little setback. A true warrior never cowers under... Hmm?"

Before he finished his sentence, his senses picked up sothing unnatural and his gaze swiftly shifted to the ceiling above his head.

His eyes glowed in blue and his vision went past the ceiling to look in the sky. "Is that..." A deep frown appeared on his face.

The sky above the town of Elinor has turned red. And a huge portal appeared out of nowhere.

A giant armored centipede slowly exited the portal. Standing on top of it looks like a human but has scarlet eyes without any visible pupils, a pair of horns on the head, and huge bat-like wings in the back.

"An Archdemon?" Qin Yu let out a gasp of shock.

The screams of the citizens filled the entire town as more and more demon soldiers exited the portal.

Qin Wei tugged his brother’s shirt and made the signs, asking him what was going on.

Grabbing his little brother’s shoulders, Qin Yu forced out a smile, "Nothing. Just so idiots trying to cause a bit of trouble. How about this? I will go outside and solve it while you go with Uncle Shi?" He gestured with a aningful nod to the Bishop, who also felt the commotion on the outside and beca worried.

As Qin Yu nodded in understanding, the ten-year-old handed over his brother to the forr and left the building in a flash.

The Bishop hurriedly spoke to the 10-year-old, grabbing his arm, "Young Master Qin, follow to the crypt."

Qin Wei might not sense what was going on, but he wasn’t a fool either. He could feel that this tiny trouble was far more troubleso.
