Kieran shook his head. "Sothing I don’t wanna talk about."

Sophia nodded in understanding. This seems quite important to him that she shouldn’t even ask for a hint. All she heard was enough for her.

Kieran tucked his shirt into his trousers, adjusting everything so he was ready to roll out. In a second, Sophia inched closer to him and wrapped her arm around his neck. Kieran simply looked into her eyes, tilting his head slightly.

What he was looking at in her eyes was the unmistakable worry there, and she turned those eyes away when it seed he had noticed.

"What’s the matter?" Kieran asked out of concern.

Sophia sighed out loud, then locked eyes back with him. She shrugged. "I an, it’s actually overwhelming that you did that much for even when you take for no one special.

I was just a free girl hitting clubs to have a fun life and make money if I could, but now, I own a club of my own."

Kieran could swear there was a tear in her eye. And in the next second, he didn’t even have to do so, because they flowed freely down Sophia’s face on their own.

"Thanks so much for this. You’re the second person to be this good to in my entire life."

Kieran wrapped his hand around her waist. "Parents?" His tone was low, eyes steady on Sophia’s in a way that showed both concern and compassion.

"Gone since I was eight," Sophia replied. She swallowed and sniffed. "Can you at least let pay you for the club? It’s why you bought it in the first place."

"Just a night?" Kieran asked.

Sophia blinked. Then she smiled dryly. "What now? Your dick suddenly craves for all night?"

Kieran replied with a tight smile, his eyes unmoving from hers.

"Be my side girl instead," he finally pronounced. "And depending on the circumstances, you might have to carry out so missions for , too."

"Dangerous ones? When?"

Kieran shrugged. "I’m not sure if there will be any, though. Just trying to plan for future issues that might arise from being a businessman. You can just stay as my side chick for now."

Sophia didn’t take a mont of deep thought or even hesitation, unlike what Kieran expected. Maybe trying to reason with her own love life... No, she didn’t do any of that as she agreed imdiately, shrugging,

"I’m down."

Kieran smiled back. In a sense, he knew it was wrong to take soone as a side chick when they would have to go out there and settle with the love of their lives too.

But from the perspective of not actually holding her back from going out with other guys or rolling in clubs anymore, Kieran thought it wasn’t that bad then.

Besides, she might soon be useful for many important things rather than just hooking up with him.

After reminiscing on this and bidding Sophia goodbye, who had accompanied him to the first floor of the condominium, Kieran started the engine of the car. And revved down.

anwhile, he didn’t even see the other lady who had just got out of a taxi and walked towards the condominium too. He didn’t, as he drove away.

And most importantly, didn’t get to know who she was.

She was the lean lady in the glistering bikini from earlier at the entrance of the club, whom he had given a card... The sa thing the lady held in her hand as she saw her best friend ahead.

Her friend. Her roommate.

"What are you doing out here at this ti, girl?" the lady, Christina, asked Sophia as she walked closer.

Sophia saw her and made a tut, a hand rubbing her forehead. "Soone who ca around just left," she replied in a low tone. She then moved towards Christina, spreading out her arms. She cried like a baby, "Co on, girl... I miss you so so much."

"Awwn," Christina cried back, widening her arms too, "that’s so sweet of you, darling."

They soon held each other in tight hugs, and Christina gave Sophia a peck. After releasing each other and walking hand in hand towards the door, Christina raised the card up.

It was BLUE.

She showed it to Sophia. "Got a hot dog today."

"A dog?" Sophia interjected. "He can lick well?"

Christina cackled out loud, hitting Sophia’s arm jokingly. And Sophia cackled as well.

"Your mind is so fucked up, Sophie," Christina said out loud.

Sophia rolled her eyes with a smile and then leaned closer to collect the card. Her brows creased as she saw the na on it.

"Richard Holland?" she muttered under her breath.

"Uh?" Christina mumbled too, with a frown, drawing closer to confirm the na.

And it was right — Richard Holland.

"Can you believe I didn’t check it at all?" Christina said in silent astonishnt. "Aren’t the Hollands those extrely wealthy fellas?"

Sophia nodded slowly.

"Wow," Christina mouthed, holding her waist with parted lips, surprised how easy it was for her to have got soone like that to give her his card. She mumbled, "I just saw him pull over from a Ferrari... And you know, did my thing on him. How... surprising. He’s actually a Holland?"

Sophia just felt sothing didn’t connect. She then asked what the colour of the Ferrari was, and Christina said purple.

Sophia’s eyes rolled to where Kieran’s car had just driven away from — his purple Ferrari. Any other colours could have been random, but purple?

Or, perhaps, Christina t Kieran’s family mber nad ’Richard Holland’ instead of him, who brought the sa car to the club?

anwhile, while driving, the screen of Kieran’s car lit up with Amanda’s call. He said answer it and the call was automatically received... Amanda’s voice ca forth the next second.

"Hello, sir. I just wanted to ask if everything is okay over there."

Kieran nodded at the sa ti he turned his steering wheel leftwards. The car moved the sa way.

"Yeah, yeah... I’m on my way back to the penthouse now."

"Alright, sir," Amanda responded. Three seconds later, she inford him, "I thought you might be interested in knowing about Mr Richard Holland – your brother. I’ve got a list of the companies he manages and so of his news online. If you want to have a look, that is."

Kieran smiled. "You’re my P.A. for a reason. Thanks, Amanda."

"Sure, Mr Holland."

The call ended. The conversation about Richard they had made Kieran recall the sa person giving him their business card. He then dug his hand into his pocket — he checked, checked, and checked, but he found nothing like a card there.

’Where’s it?’

Kieran had to pull over before a gas station and check better. But no matter where he looked, he wasn’t able to find the card.

Just as realisation kicked in, he froze a little bit. He recalled dropping his coat in the club where most of his own cards were, and then left with one in his pocket... No, two.

A black and blue one.

The blue one was... the one his brother gave to him.

"Damn it. I must have given either the hooker or the DJ that card."

The bikini-dressed lady and the club’s DJ were the only people he gave business cards to at the club. So, one of them was definitely with the blue card – Richard’s own.
