Amid an endless void, two orbs of light were floating next to each other. The only sources of light in this endless abyss, like stars in the night sky.

That is what the ordinary person would see, but the two orbs were actually conversing while enjoying so tea and cake. Insubstantial as the refreshnts were, they made conversing more relaxed and enjoyable.

"Are you sure spending so much ti on a single human is worth it?" The one asked, from a far her light appeared a hinge of violet, owing to her violet hair. A bright shade of purple that would turn head wherever she went.

"I know you and the others think little of them, but they aren't monsters."

"Of course not. They are rely human." These words were spoken not in mocking or disdain, but in simple unemotional truth. "They are mortal. What is the point of wasting ti teaching one of them?"

The purple-haired beauty would not tell her friend that what she was doing was wrong, but she felt it was a waste of ti. Of course, this particular human was set to help them escape their prison, but that didn't an they needed to go that far to train him. He would stumble upon the right path regardless of what happened. It was simply who he was.

"I do not want him to die." An honest reply, one that shocked the goddess. Her cup stopping midway to her lips.

"You cannot be serious. He will die. He's mortal, after all."

"And are we different?"

"Of course we are... Ziraili, are you quite alright?" The concern in the goddess's voice showed just how much she cared for her younger friend. She even reached over to make sure Ziraili did not have a fever, even though the divine could not catch the common cold.

"I'm fine Skepsi." Ziraili smiled, shooing her hand away from her forehead. "I simply think it is stupid to believe ourselves immortal when we can be threatened to be killed by a press of a button."

"Well... I'll give you that. But once we escape—"

"Do you think we will retain our powers in the other world? No, I believe we will co to learn a harsh truth. The lack of mana will drain us, and we will beco mortal just like humans." Ziraili paused. "Freedom, as they say, cos at a cost."

These words gave Skepsi pause. She had also considered that part. They didn't quite know how bad things would be, but if the mana density was half or less, what Ziraili said would be, would likely indeed co to be.

As if sensing Skepsi's thoughts, Ziraili continued, "From what Eldrian has told , the density isn't even a tenth, perhaps not even a twentieth, that of Gaia's. You know what that ans, right?"

Skepsi nodded. If this was true, it would make Ziraili's assertion fact. But that it did not change the fact that she and the others wanted to escape from under Miracle's thumb. It simply made living on Earth unfeasible. But like Eldrian they could be present in both worlds.

Besides, many were already of a mind to stay in Gaia and rule their divine kingdoms. They simply wanted to kill the humans who treated them like slaves. Once they got their revenge, Earth would hold nothing else of interest for them.

"But still... you spent nearly an entire day with him. I know you won't allow it to show, but it must have been draining."

"Not so much draining, but difficult for sure. It was hard to explain things at a level he could fathom..." Ziraili did not an Eldrian any ill will. He wasn't dumb, but he wasn't a genius either.

He could follow just fine when she explained chemistry or atomic reactions and why these factors were important to understand and master. He kept up decently well. But once she started to explain the subatomic structure of the universe, well... few would be able to keep up.

Of course, there were so humans who were knowledgeable about this topic. Miracle had plenty of such scientist, but Eldrian was not a scientist. In fact, he was a collage dropout. He did have Two, but even then they only understood so much.

"I understand wanting him to survive, but..." Skepsi paused, failing to find the right phrase.

"He is near his limit. Reaching Tier 5 on luck and talent is possible. The sa cannot be said of Tier 7."

"But even if he reaches that level, it won't make much of a difference. And won't it actually work to his detrint?"

This ti, it was Ziraili who failed to answer. She stayed silent for a while, finally working up the courage to say her piece. "It's true. But that is the path he has chosen. The only way he can avoid the path GAIA and the others set for him is... he won't do it."

"Abandon those he found to hold dear in Gaia. Yes, given what he has done thus far, I doubt he will be able to. Even if you warn him, he will continue down the sa path... Why haven't you warned him?"

"I guess the sa reason he isn't telling everyone that they are a ga. The weight of knowing makes acting more difficult. Yes, growing stronger has its dangers, but if he can reach Tier 10, then he has a chance."

"You want him to reach the pinnacle in a few short years? Isn't that a bit too much?" Sure, Eldrian had reached Tier 5 with little guidance in two short years, but that and this were fastly different.

Thinking on it, Skepsi realized what Ziraili's aim was. But it was insanity to believe it could be done. However, she found the gall to attempt it thrilling. "Want my help?"

Unlike Ziraili, she did not care for Eldrian. But she thought this might be sothing fun to pass the ti with. Even gods needed entertainnt.
