Chapter 2073: Chapter 608: Pluralities and Uniqueness (Part 2)

“Multiples are ubiquitous, worthless, and aningless.”

“There is only one type of creature; they have found certain paths and moved forward resolutely, eventually undergoing a tamorphosis of life, evolving from multiples to ‘uniques.’

“And those roads leading to uniqueness are the ‘Paths of Transcendence,’ also called the ‘Paths of Ascension.’

“The God of Luck has already found the path to transcendence. He left the Mirror Universe with Isabelle and went to the Original Universe, practicing his path of transcendence.”

“And I too have seen the dawn of the path of transcendence and am moving toward my own ‘uniqueness.’

“In the future, a calamity more terrifying than Isabelle’s full effort will arrive, and only by becoming unique can one ultimately escape and transcend…”

Matthew pondered:

“How strong must one be to achieve transcendence and beco unique?”

Unexpectedly.

Turing shook his head:

“Becoming unique doesn’t require much strength, only a specific opportunity.”

“Sotis, even a very weak life, if it is fortunate enough, can beco unique.”

“Uniqueness is not a asure of strength; it is more like a special Power of Domain or a peculiar prefix, a strange label…”

“It exists only for a very few beings, attaching to them, making them extraordinary, transcendent…”

“Once you have uniqueness, you cannot be replicated or replaced; that’s the aning of transcendence.”

Matthew showed a puzzled expression.

Turing continued to explain:

“In fact, among the people you know, there is a weak but unique existence.”

“Rember that fairy called ‘Little Stream’?”

“Her soul is uniquely pure, the cleanest in the entire Universe.”

“Therefore, she was born unique.”

“She is the purest fairy; if no external force interrupts, she will beco the new fairy queen.”

“Of course, you know what happened next; the God of Luck discovered her and took her in early, cultivating her into his follower…”

“But even so, it cannot change Little Stream’s unique attribute.”

“She is lucky, special, born to transcend.”

“But most creatures aren’t so fortunate; they can only strive to chase after that fleeting opportunity before the impending calamity…”

Little Stream has such heaven-defying attributes?

Matthew already believed most of it.

Every ti he t Little Stream, he felt a very special sensation.

The other’s soul was exceptionally clear and pure, with a natural beauty.

So this was the reason.

However, Matthew also vaguely felt that Turing wouldn’t tell him these secrets for no reason.

The other must have ulterior motives.

Sure enough.

Turing changed tone:

“And the simplest way to beco unique is to et a few already transcended existences.”

“You’re lucky to have already ford relationships with quite a few unique beings.”

“But the person I’m about to introduce to you, even among several uniques, is an extrely special existence…”

Matthew interrupted him with a hand gesture.

He looked intently at Turing:

“Why are you introducing to unique existences?”

Turing smiled and said:

“At soone’s request.”

Matthew responded without hesitation:

“Edmond?”

Turing nodded:

“Originally, there was nothing to hide.”

“Without his deliberate matchmaking, you wouldn’t have had the chance to et such a unique existence.”

Matthew’s expression remained unchanged, as if he was pondering and mulling over sothing.

Turing reminded:

“You’ve offended Yurkus, and Isabelle has already left. If you don’t et a real prominent figure, the days ahead may not be easy.”

“Don’t waste Edmond’s effort; he’s the greatest broker I’ve ever seen, but even he had to pay a lot to get a recomndation for the person I’m about to introduce…”

Matthew remained unmoved:

“Don’t say his na yet, give so clues; I want to know who he is.”

He wasn’t trying to play guessing gas with Turing.

Rather, with such a powerful existence that Turing compared to Yurkus, easily ntioning the other’s na might bring about so unnecessary trouble.

Since it’s a recomndation.

That ans Matthew has the possibility of refusal—

Provided it’s before Turing says that na.

Turing said unhappily:

“Are you worried Edmond will harm you?”

“He did put in quite so effort…”

Matthew suddenly spoke out:

“You don’t need to say anything.”

“I already know who he is…”

“I choose to re…”

Before the word reject was uttered.

Turing’s expression suddenly turned fierce and ruthless:

“Do you think you can reject ?”

“This is the Arcane Wilderness, my domain!”

“Kid, since you’re ungrateful, don’t bla for being rough!”

“Get down!”

With that.

The surrounding space began to collapse.

Matthew instinctively wanted to resist, but found a powerful attraction locking him tightly!

That was the power of plane laws!

“Turing… has indeed completely mastered the Arcane Wilderness…”

This thought had just erged.

Matthew had already arrived in another space.

His ears still heard Turing cursing:

“I’ve already taken Edmond’s benefit fee; there’s no way to return it…”

Matthew smiled wryly.

In that instant, he actually had the ability to escape, but out of curiosity and other factors, he ultimately decided to co and see.

He surveyed his surroundings.

Then took several deep breaths in succession—

All he saw were massive and mottled shadows.

So shadows contained writhing giants, towering and awe-inspiring like walking volcanoes.

Between the mountains ford by shadows.

A huge arch bridge extended from the other side of the mountain to Matthew’s front.

Matthew glanced back.

The space behind him was still colorful.

But as he walked toward the arch bridge.

The colors gradually beca singular, leaving only endless black and white, ultimately forming a desolate black.

Insight told him.

The material space ahead was unstable, ready to collapse at any mont.

Considerable elents were constantly flowing away, heading into the mottled volcanic shadows.

Just then.

Matthew noticed countless black entities gathered under the arch bridge.

Those entities had strange shapes, with human-like faces and uneven limbs or tails.

These pseudo-creatures scrambled towards the upper part of the arch bridge.

But a powerful force below firmly locked them under the bridge.

Matthew watched them fighting each other, struggling desperately, yet never overcoming that terrifying falling force, ultimately perishing in the endless greyish patches.

An imnse sadness welled up in his heart.

In the next mont.

A gentle voice sounded in his ear:

“Stop.”

“Keep going, and you will beco like them.”

Matthew suddenly awoke.

He looked down, cold sweat pouring—

Before he knew it, he had already reached the edge of the arch bridge, not far from the grey patches below.

“Do not gaze.”

“Gaze ans proximity.”

“Do not empathize.”

“Everything in this world has its destiny, and you need not be sentintal.”

The gentle voice continued to co from the bridge.

Matthew steadied himself.

He looked up, waiting for the owner of the voice to co from the other side of the bridge.

He also found.

From start to finish, there was only the voice from the bridge, with silence all around; even the struggle of the “ghosts” below produced no sound.

“Very quiet, isn’t it?”

“For you humans, noise has beco a habit. But for many beings from other places, sound is indeed a precious trace.”

The voice grew closer.

Matthew couldn’t help but stand on tiptoe.

Until a very small figure appeared at the head of the arch bridge.

Matthew was sowhat surprised.

The figure was only palm-sized, resembling the “Qeyun Aling” he had seen before, rely a nondescript Space Essence.

The Space Essence blinked with azure blue eyes, speaking calmly and gently:

“You should know my na.”

Matthew lowered his head slightly:

“Of course.”

“The na ‘Captain’ is well-known.”
