Chapter 2023: 586 Golden Ship missions

Ronan’s words made Matthew’s heart race.

The aning was already clear enough—

If it weren’t for Ronan’s presence here.

Edmond is very likely to manipulate Matthew’s legendary ascension ceremony!

If anyone else had given such a hint.

Matthew might have dismissed it.

But Ronan…

Is almost the Legendary-mage Matthew trusts the most!

The journey alongside each other hadn’t entangled them in too many interests, just so pure friendships.

Compared to other legends.

Ronan is more transcendent, humorous.

He is the one who resembles a serious Legendary-mage most in Matthew’s mind.

And considering Ronan’s relationship with Edmond.

His judgnt is definitely not without foundation.

“Wait…”

“Hasn’t the ntor always been behind ?”

“Would Edmond dare to act recklessly under her nose?”

Such thoughts flashed through Matthew’s mind.

He didn’t make a sound.

He just watched Ronan with a slightly puzzled gaze.

Ronan didn’t offer too obvious feedback.

Maintaining a calm smile on his face.

But just as Matthew planned to move his puzzled gaze away, Ronan suddenly minutely swayed his head.

The movent existed only for a mont.

If Matthew weren’t completely focused, it would have been hard for anyone to notice this fleeting detail.

“Understood…”

“Isabelle’s influence on reality is diminishing, and her previous frequent actions were probably more intimidation than actual effects.”

“The strong in the astral world don’t know Isabelle’s exact situation, they can only guess, at most probe, but can never capture the truth.”

“Edmond, however, is different.”

“It’s said he’s the Legendary-mage most similar to Isabelle within the Alliance.”

“Plus, the two parties have a long history of imprisonnt, Edmond might know Isabelle’s state the best…”

Matthew’s eyes grew serious.

He originally thought Isabelle could at least ensure his stable ascension to legendary.

But now…

He was too optimistic!

Of course.

Matthew believed Edmond wouldn’t go to the extent of actively preventing his legendary ascension.

He was likely targeting certain weaknesses of Matthew, hoping to exert more influence and even control post-ascension.

That’s definitely Edmond’s style!

And Matthew’s style doesn’t allow himself to be manipulated, the potential friction between the two will be sharply intensified.

If Ronan hadn’t co.

Matthew’s situation could have indeed beco much more difficult.

“Thank you.”

Matthew said gratefully.

Ronan shook his head, smiling:

“No need.”

“Causing trouble for Edmond is sothing I’ve been quite keen on lately.”

“Besides, I’m just a projection here, if things go sideways, it’ll rely on you.”

“Don’t be fooled by his smoothness, his inherent personality is actually similar to the ntor’s; he will use all sorts of ans to achieve his goals.”

“Clearly, he really likes you.”

“So, you must have the resolve for a long-term battle.”

“Of course, Edmond’s attention on you indicates you’re a promising spellcaster with vast prospects.”

“Building a good relationship with him can be very helpful at tis.”

“In the Alliance, the two most versatile mages are him and Ms. Soria; you’ve probably witnessed her skills, where money solves most issues.”

“And Edmond is versatile in a different manner; he’s capable and almost omnipotent, a valuable ntor and magical treasure for young and confused spellcasters.”

“He’s a complex guy.”

“But for now, the Alliance cannot do without him.”

Matthew nodded quietly.

Edmond’s interest in him hasn’t just started recently.

Who knows if his interest is in Matthew himself or those two supre authorities.

Matthew always retains so precaution against him.

With Isabelle about to leave…

He must be even more vigilant!

“I understand.”

“I’ve always been grateful to you and Mr. Edmond for your support.”

Matthew expressed his gratitude to Ronan again.

Ronan chuckled and said:

“I haven’t been much help.”

“The past events were a trivial effort; while wandering in the astral world, I even considered arranging a curriculum for novice mages in the floating city for you, but now you’re almost legendary, doubly legendary in the undead and nature domain which you truly paved for yourself!”

“I don’t possess the discernnt like the ntor and Edmond to spot you outside Rolling Stone Town, it was purely luck.”

Matthew sincerely said:

“It was my luck too.”

Then the two casually chatted about recent events.

“I heard that you and Ms. Qin Wuyue have set out for the Eastern Continent?”

Matthew glanced inside the barrier clearly—Edmond seems in no hurry to stop, so he asked casually.

Ronan laughed:

“That’s a rumor.”

“I haven’t left Aindor; my true self is in the core demiplane of the floating city, supervising the Golden Ship plan.”

Golden Ship?

Matthew was slightly taken aback.

He first heard this term in the various rumors after the great tears.

Later confird by Isabelle.

To buy tickets for the Golden Ship, Matthew spent one million gold coins, yet he still knows nothing about this plan!

Now Isabelle is about to leave…
