"Whew." Samuel let out a long sigh, leaned back, and let his body sink into the thick velvet-upholstered armchair behind him.
"It seems it worked. How do you feel?" he asked with a smile.
"Hmm..." Celt thought for a mont. "I don't know. It's hard to put this feeling into words."
"I don't actually feel like I'm a separate person from you, but I'm clearly distinct from you."
He adjusted his phrasing: "Perhaps I am a part of your personality that has been separated out."
Samuel recalled Celt's Law Rhys.
"The benevolent personality?"
Celt nodded.
"Mm."
His eyes had now returned to their normal pale gold color, with only the faintest hint of starlight barely visible in the subtle details, not very noticeable.
Though a pair of vertical pupils weren't exactly normal to begin with.
Samuel, resting his chin on his hand, nodded, then suddenly raised his right hand and chanted in an ethereal tone:
"The words engraved, rise to the heart:"
"Cast my love, abandoned here..."
"Hey, hey, hey, you're moving a bit too fast on this path to godhood, and you haven't even found your own King of the Covenant yet."
"Finally free from the main body, can't I give an acceptance speech?" Samuel instantly returned to normal, raising a champagne flute in Celt's direction.
"What kind of freedom is this? At the end of the day, isn't it still the sa brain?" Celt also raised his glass, gently extending it forward to clink against Samuel's rim in the air. "What should I say? Thank Mr. Samuel for his generous open-source contribution?"
The two champagne flutes collided with a crisp "ting," quickly drowned out by the piano music.
"You must have sothing you want to say." Samuel took a sip of champagne from his glass and inquired, "So, what exactly are those abilities 'ssenger' and 'Prisoner' we've always been curious about?"
He didn't directly access Celt's mories, preferring to learn the result through "asking."
Since they were playing house, they should play it properly. Even if it was just one person, they should imrse themselves in the performance and embody the role.
When playing a role-playing ga, thinking of yourself as the player rather than the character ans you can't experience the full fun.
Celt didn't answer imdiately. He picked up his champagne flute again but wasn't in a hurry to drink.
"Hmm... let
think." He tilted his head, looking at the translucent liquid in his glass. "Four Law Marks. I'll explain them one by one."
"The first is 'Judge.' I can draw upon local laws and regulations to gain enhancent. When my actions comply with laws and regulations, my actions are reinforced. When others break the law in my presence, their actions are weakened."
"For example, this country's laws, the 'Reins Public Conduct Code,' a restaurant's 'Custor Notice.' If I dine quietly now, without making noise, then my eating actions will be smoother, digestion will improve, and the efficiency of absorbing nutrients from food will increase."
"If soone within my perception range violates rules recognized by 'Judge,' then their actions will be invisibly weakened and obstructed. They'll face air resistance, movents will beco clumsy, and energy expended will multiply."
"I can also actively adjudicate whether certain personal behaviors are illegal, thereby imposing further weakening."
Samuel listened with great interest, his fingers lightly tapping on the tabletop.
"Then there's 'Tuner.' This ability mainly involves adjusting others' emotions, guiding their subconscious, and can create so illusions. It's a bit similar to the Magician's Law Mark."
"Next, the 'ssenger' ability is having slightly better stamina, being a bit faster, having a better sense of direction. It can also achieve effects similar to 'secret sound transmission,' directly transmitting words I speak into soone else's ears."
"Finally, 'Prisoner' ans stronger physical constitution, better endurance. Oh, this Law Mark actually cos with so neat little tricks. I feel more and more like it's a ga class."
Celt described the newly acquired abilities. After finishing, he took a small sip of champagne from his flute.
"What about the Law Rhys?" Samuel propped his head up with one hand, leaning sideways in his chair. "What do these advanced classes do? Especially 'Morning Star'—it almost killed you. Shouldn't it co with so world-destroying super skills?"
"Let's start with 'Royal Blood,'" Celt shook his head. "Just as the Travel Guide wrote, it's a terrain bonus."
"Within this country, all my physical attributes are enhanced. As long as I remain within the borders of the Kingdom of Liastan, all my basic physical qualities—strength, speed, endurance, perception, recovery...—receive a fairly decent boost. It's as if the land itself is nourishing and acknowledging . This feeling... is very solid."
"Also, I can designate the area where I've lived the longest as my 'territory.' Within my 'territory,' all my physical indicators receive even greater enhancent."
"Then there's 'Morning Star.' The core of this Law Rhy lies in enhancing the prerequisite abilities, which are the conditions of ssenger, Tuner, Navigator, and Stargazer."
"Since I don't have Navigator and Stargazer, I only received enhancents for the first two parts. The first is I gained the ability for spatial transfer within a certain range. The other is I can adjust certain physical laws of reality within a certain range, like gravity, buoyancy."
"Mm, of course, discussing abilities without considering magnitude is aningless. With my current power, I can't even increase gravity by 1%. As for spatial movent, maybe within line of sight, about the size of a room. Anyway, I probably can't teleport from here to the kitchen right now."
"The inherent ability is relatively much simpler: easier to persuade others, lead others, subtly influence others."
"It seems it can be used in conjunction with 'Royal Blood.'"
"I told you," Samuel smiled. "That little prince definitely isn't simple. He's probably secretly hypnotizing people and forming factions behind the scenes."
"Lastly, there's Angel of Redemption. This one is more mystical. I can see the sins on a person, possess a certain degree of divination ability, can redeem others' souls, can absorb the sins from a person, and possess so purifying ability."
"Seems like it could work with Judge," Samuel suggested. "Can it perform judgnts or sothing?"
"This... I don't know." Celt thought for half a second before shaking his head.
"Mm, that's probably all of it." After saying this, Celt put down the champagne flute he was holding.
Then he t Samuel's gaze.
"I feel like you've acquired OCD." Samuel pointed out. "When describing the Law Marks and Law Rhys, no matter what I asked, you seed determined to follow the initial order you started with."
"Huh?" Celt was montarily stunned, recalling his earlier description. "Seems like it. I don't know why that is."
