Seeing that everyone was hooked, the burly man continued. "I am a hunter and sotis when I go out and hunt, I take days or even weeks until I find prey. That was sothing that had been happening for a long ti. So, when she was standing on her feet again, I started returning to the mountains to hunt."

"Who would have guessed that by doing so, to go out when it’s dangerous and risk my life as anything can happen when I am away, I would lose both the wife and son?" with a regretful look on his face he said.

"That’s harsh!"

"Indeed, it’s a bit too much. I was out to find money for us three to live and grow old together. But what did that wh** do? She had the guts to run away with a rchant when I was away. On top of that, she didn’t even spare my son and took him with him. By the ti I returned ho, the place was empty and not even a single letter was left. Tell , if it was you, would you still remain calm?" he bellowed angrily as his body shook with anger, probably.

Seeing all that, the villagers shook their heads pitifully.

"It’s not a fair thing. You shouldn’t have gone through sothing like that!" when everyone was silent, the angelic woman spoke, shaking her head with an angry expression on her face.

The burly man seeing that he had managed to convince the angelic woman, felt relieved.

"I am glad that you see it like that. I have been searching for her for ten years now. And all I need is to find my son. I need to know where she sent him to. At least give so news. I don’t care about her affairs. I heard that she married another married hunter and got him killed. That one is a jinx, I should have let her die back then! Pftuiee!" the burly man spat as he spoke with a disdainful expression, not afraid of revealing his dislike for his ex-wife.

"Oh! She must be indeed a jinx!"

"Exactly. How could she cause problems for every man she becos acquainted with?"

"I am curious what happened to the passing rchant!"

"Who knows what happened? Maybe she killed him before fleeing all the way!" the burly man responded.

Ba Susan unable to continue to take what was going on in front of so many people, looked at the burly man before asking, "If you see Calista today, will you be able to recognize her?"

When he heard that, the man who had imprinted every angle of that face from the portrait nodded his head affirmatively. "I have shared the sa room, and bed with her for more than a year. How could I not recognize her?" he replied smugly looking at the village chief as if he was so idiotic person.

Upon hearing that, the villagers looked at each other before stifling their laughter.

How could a person boast so much without even knowing the person he was accusing?

Seeing the strange actions of the villagers, the burly man didn’t suspect anything but simply thought that they were making fun of him.

"Are you mocking , right now?" he asked angrily as he pointed at the lot trying their burst not to laugh out loud.

The angelic woman seeing that the man was overacting and that things might get out of hand, took several steps forward. And when she did, the villagers gave way, leaving just her and the burly man in the centre of it all.

"They are not laughing at you exactly or should I say that they are!" she suddenly said with a mocking expression, her gaze towards the man, that one of saying, ’I look down on you and very ashad of you.’

And the burly man suddenly received such a gaze from her, that he was so angry that he blew off imdiately.

"You .... How dare you look at like that? Just because you are pretty you think that you can look down on others so easily?"

The angelic woman laughed out loud, the mocking expression widening, making the man tremble with more anger than before. "I have never co across such a stupid person before. I am quite curious, who paid you to co and play such a ridiculous one-man show like this? Aren’t you afraid of shaming your ancestors if they ever know about this?" the woman ridiculed the man, disdain written all over her face.

The man seeing that, his short brain didn’t think much before he raised his hand to punish this two-faced snake who had been looking at him with compassion and now, she has turned against him and mocked him.

Although he hadn’t t that shaless woman he was supposed to deal with, dealing with such a pretty and weak woman was very easy.

So, when the burly man’s hand started descending towards the woman, the villagers who weren’t expecting the man to strike suddenly like that, all exclaid with others screaming for the woman.

And one of the loudest voices at that ti happened to be Ma Susan, shoes heart couldn’t take it, seeing anything happening to the woman.

"Calista, dodge!" her shout was loud enough to expose right there that the person who had been talked about all this ti, was present. And also, she had been the one urging the man to talk earlier.

When the burly man heard that, his eyes turned red as all sorts of crazy thoughts filled his mind, but in summary, all he knew at that mont was that he had been played.

Not only had he been played, but he also had been exposed. To think that he had been shalessly narrating the evil deeds of his so-called wife in front of the so-called wife in person, how could he let her go easily like that?

Since he couldn’t defa her na; he might as well strike that face and see where she would use it to seduce other n.

Since he couldn’t have her, no one else would.

With that crazy thought in mind, the force of his hand coming down beca even stronger.
