As my mother’s only boy child, as I grew up, I always thought that everything would be given to automatically. After all, wasn’t that how it worked?

Unfortunately, I learnt it the hard way. My mother wasn’t the typical stupid woman who was confused and pressured by the patriarchal concept.

A lot of won tend to favor their male children since they would continue the family’s bloodline. Girls at so point would be married off, so they were bad investnts. That’s what I heard so n talking about when I was a child.

So, I confronted my mother who always treated and my sister like that. Thanks to that, I couldn’t leave the bed for a few days after receiving a thrashing from her.

"In my eyes, you are both my flesh and blood. I gave birth to you and what I do with what I have is none of your business. Besides, my mother, I am also a woman. Are you telling right in my face that , who feeds, cloth you are useless?"

I rember that those words kept restless for a very long ti. Indeed, my mother was just the only person in the family. She was the one who started sothing big in the village and changed everyone’s life.

I never saw my father or uncles. It was just my mother and since it was like that, how could I even think of confronting her about sothing like that?

That thrashing, I deserved it so much and all the resentnt I had for my mother vanished. From there on, I beca honest. Whenever and Halona competed, Mother would always support and encourage us. She had never had a favorite between us, and that made the relationship between and she was good.

If I were to think about who tried to compete for favor with us when it cos to Mother, then I would have to bring Blackey and Whitey. Those two, until now, we couldn’t beat them. In fact, we stopped trying so after being defeated several tis.

Thankfully, they were pets and not human beings. So, we simply accepted this fact and moved on.

Growing up and maturing, I started helping my mother to take care of business. She had been working so hard for so many years and she had always been complaining and wanting to take a vacation. So, I helped with that.

Once the business had stabilized and the duties had been assigned to and Halona, Mother went on a vacation and only returned years later.

And when she did, she brought us a very great surprise. The kind that shocked everyone.

Thanks to it, our village prospered, and more and more people kept on coming.

While managing the business, I t the woman that I wanted to spend the rest of my life. In fact, she chased after and after seeing her sincerity; we got married and started a family.

I started a family and managed to fulfil one of my mother’s dreams, giving her a large family. I took in so concubines and with mother’s iron-clad fist; the backyard was forever peaceful.

I never experienced anything such as conflicts or sches between wives. Whilst they didn’t fear to be exact, mother and her pets were too noticeable for anyone to cause problems.

Whilst my sister gave birth to two children, I went overboard and gave her eight, making a total of ten grandchildren for my mother.

Surrounded by so many grandchildren, Mother was very happy and her life was complete. She raised the children with love and care. Above all, she never showed any favoritism, and that made all the children grow up united, without having sly thoughts about the family’s inheritance.

Besides, with a mother who didn’t seem to age, it wouldn’t be anyti soon for anyone to get hold of the inheritance completely.

Just like how hard and Halona worked to have our mother trust us and pass the business managent to us, all the ten children went through the sa.

Fortunately, Mother wasn’t soone who forced others to follow her path. As long as the dreams were reasonable and doable, mother would support each and every child.

As a result, among the ten children, only three were interested in business. The rest took their own paths, and that saved another generation from having conflicts.

When mother was in her seventies, she left ho with a few grandchildren and went to travel. She returned ho after several years and brought back another surprise, which cented our fates.

For generations, our family wouldn’t need to worry about anything and that was thanks to her.

I had my many rits as Ayaan, but I can never stop sharing about the wonderful deeds mother did. Of course, there were the bad things but which child dares to share that?

When I finally retired from doing business, the empire was taken over by those three who had been doing great work from day one.

At that ti, I was in my sixties and wanted to rest. Even Halona had retired and her son was following in his father’s footsteps.

Because of how busy our family was when growing up, we didn’t have much quality ti with our mother. So, after returning, I and my wives, Halona and her husband, took Mother travelling, and she was in her nineties but still looked much younger.

Following in the footsteps of our children, we spent a few years seeing the world and creating monts with our mother.

Because of her age, despite looking young, we all knew that one day she was going to leave us. So, before that happened, we were going to spend as much ti as we could with her.

After being on the road for three years, Mother started feeling unwell, and the reality shook us so badly.

Because of Mother’s special identity, and the great surprises she brought to us in the many years when she was ill, imperial physicians were assigned to her. She was treated by the best doctors, and all sorts of dicines were available for her use.
