The next morning, Lady Iris was helping her husband with his court clothes. Her husband worked in the governnt offices and held a high position.

"When will your new friend co?" Sir Iris asked curiously as he let his wife dress him.

Lady Iris looked at her husband with a smile and answered, "The carriage will go and pick her up. She should be here for breakfast."

Sir Iris humd in response upon hearing that but didn’t add anything else. Lady Iris didn’t bother to share more. She had already shared enough information regarding the matter yesterday, so no need for more.

After making sure that everything was okay, Lady Iris sent her husband off, and the concubines appeared as well.

Looking at them, she felt no energy to fight with them. At least they were diligent in serving their husband.

After sending off the husband, Lady Iris went to oversee the kitchen and made sure that a sumptuous al was prepared.

Her children ate in their grandmother’s courtyard and ca to see her when they were going to school.

There was a school for girls which taught etiquette and the four arts, so her daughters alongside the concubine daughters went there as well.

All boys attended the academy, so during the day, there would be no children at ho as all of them would be at school.

When she was sending the kids off to school, she spotted the carriage which had left to pick up her newly made friend. She bid her kids farewell and watched the several carriages leaving with the other concubines.

The concubines didn’t leave and enter the manor but waited with her. Lady Iris wanted to roll her eyes badly upon seeing how these won were too curious for their own good. However, she let them be. She wondered how they would be sullen once they saw Calista later.

It was shocking to find out that she was four years younger than her and yet she looked younger than that.

She also didn’t look like soone with children as well. Her skin looked perfect and well-nourished. Just what kind of nourishnt was she using to be that good?

Talking about dicine, she couldn’t help but think about that godly doctor. It’s been years since she saw the doctor. Was he still alive or not?

’I guess I will ask my mother later when I see her at the manor!’

While she was lost in thoughts, the carriage stopped in front of the gates and the concubines who were eager to see the new friend they had heard through the grapevines, stretched their necks to see properly.

Lady Iris glared at them warningly and the won started clearing their throats as they started walking into the gate at a slow pace as if they were snails.

Lady Iris seeing that, nearly reprimanded them but still held herself back. There were people passing by, she didn’t dare tarnish her family’s reputation and be labeled as a bully.

anwhile, at the carriage, the coachman alighted walked towards the carriage door, and opened it.

Monts later, the person Lady Iris was waiting for erged from the carriage.

She was greeted by a beautiful embroidered white shoe with red and yellow flowers, followed by a long yellow skirt which covered the shoe. Before she could finish admiring what she was seeing, the whole person erged from the carriage and was shortly standing on the ground.

Looking at her in broad daylight, Lady Iris couldn’t help but feel envious. She felt sour just looking at the other. If her husband was here, wouldn’t he be tempted?

Madam Solace was beautiful, that wasn’t sothing to be disputed and with her wearing such light colors, she looked vibrant and youthful. Where did it show that she was married and had kids?

If it wasn’t for the hair which was styled in a way that showed she was married, she wouldn’t know. If Lady Iris knew that Calista only styled her hair like that because she left the village and always walked around as if she were a maiden, she would cough out blood with fury.

anwhile, the concubines who were reluctant to leave found themselves rooted on the spot as they looked at the friend that their madam had made yesterday.

"How could a person be beautiful like that?"

"Damn! Do you think that madam wants to give our lord husband another concubine?"

"Hehe, if you were her. Would you risk it and give your husband soone as dangerous as that?"

The concubines had mixed emotions as they looked at Calista who felt proud of her choice of clothing.

Calista was soone who loved colors. During the three years, she mourned her first husband and wore those tasteless colors; it was torture for her. But she still persevered since it was the only way to honor the man who made her want to live and cling to life.

After that, returned to wearing bright colors but only when she was traveling outside. At ho, she did her best to be colorful but being alone; it was boring. However, that changed when she t Orson. For him, she was willing to dress beautifully again. Unfortunately, they didn’t seem to share the sa fate.

That was why she was going to dress for herself. She was going to live herself the way she wanted and do whatever she felt like doing.

As for doing it for others, what do they give her?

As a result, after going through the beautiful clothes she had brought with her, she ended up picking white and yellow. For a mont, she wanted to pick a white skirt but considering the fact that she might end up coming across a puddle of dirty water and with how accidents usually happen all the ti, it would be a pity if the skirt gets dirtied.

That’s why she opted for a yellow skirt and picked white shoes instead. The long skirt would hide the shoes. However, for the top, she still picked a white blouse with floral embroidery on one side which matched the shoes that she wore.

As a woman who wanted to look beautiful, she didn’t forget to wear jewelry as well as head ornants. She had done her best to look beautiful and sensing the sourness surrounding her; she knew that she had done a good job.

She was very happy with her choice of outfit for today.
