Vaani, seeing Pierce enjoying the biscuits she had ticulously prepared, wore a smile on her face.

"Master, if you don’t mind. How about sharing with what’s bothering you? If it’s a woman’s problem, then that’s even good. I can dissect the matter by looking at it from her perspective," she suggested, her tone still humble.

When Orson heard that, he looked at her briefly as he analyzed what she had just said.

After a while, he nodded at her, giving her permission to do so.

Maybe Vaani would help him understand what was going wrong with everything when they were doing well monts ago.

Seeing that he had agreed, she urged him to explain in whatever way he wanted, be it simplified or detailed, that way she would know what she was dealing with.

When Vaani listened to the version of the story, she nearly gave him a punch to the face. Was this really the man she was in love with for so many years?

How could he be so ....? She didn’t dare even think about finishing it.

No wonder why that madwoman was angry. If it was her, she would have torn Orson apart.

"What do you think? Do you think that I have done sothing wrong?" Orson just couldn’t get it.

He might be still biased towards his deceased wife and her children, but that couldn’t be helped. They were together for decades, so how would these feelings be erased as if they had never been there?

Didn’t he do his best to treat her well, be concerned about her, and even check her health as well?

What more did she want from him that she dared utter so many requests? Who did she think she was?

Vaani had the urge to roll her eyes at this man she still looked up to in other aspects, except for the ones she used to be infatuated with.

After hearing all that, she could see how magnanimous Calista was. If it were her, she would kick the whole family out and ban them from coming to her place again.

However, thinking about all the humiliation she went through because of him and yet he just offered a simple apology and a warning. Vaani suddenly felt like screwing him up.

"Master, you aren’t wrong. In fact, you can never be wrong," Vaani responded earnestly as she looked at the other with clear eyes. "Anyone can be wrong, but not you. What wrong did you do? You are the chief’s right hand and you are burdened with the family’s affairs," Vaani added as she started counting the duties that Orson has right now.

"You are a doctor and a vital person in the family. Not only that, you are a father. As a father, how can you not be concerned with the welfare of your kids? Even if Calista was to be put in your shoes, she would do even worse.

So don’t feel that you are in the wrong here. I don’t want to be biased, but I can surely say for certain that she is trying to guilt trip you. Does she expect you to live here and dump everything just because of her and the twins?

She might be powerful and all that, but what right does she have to force you into such a corner? Is she planning on making you a deserter and being called unfilial for ditching the family?

Master, I think that she is up to no good. She might be doing all this to exact revenge for leaving her back then. I don’t think that she loves you at all. Who knows what she was doing all these months when you weren’t there?" with an indignant expression, Vaani continued to fan the flas, disregarding the black face that represents a pot next to her.

"Everyone had seen how she acted with Hayes. Who can be certain that nothing happened to them? If it’s not him, what about the others we heard from others? If today she can ask such a ridiculous condition, what can stop her from asking more in the future?" she asked coldly, venting out her frustrations to many people.

Since she had started, she might as well go to the end. As for how she would be punished, it wouldn’t matter. He wouldn’t kill her, but the seed of doubt would be planted in him.

If she couldn’t have him twice, then no one else would have him. She would rather have him return to the island. Let them live there harmoniously as a family, than to allow Calista let him be redundant and live here.

What could be achieved by being surrounded by these slly villagers?

"Today she is telling to give everything. What if tomorrow she wants to deal with the young misuses? She is soone with her own kids, after all. Master, don’t forget how orphaned children suffer at the hands of stepmothers. She might act like she likes them now, but who can guarantee that in the long term?" she snarled as the image of Calista’s benevolence appeared in her mind.

The way she got along with the young misuses irked her a lot. How could she not take this chance and fan more flas?

Orson was angry already, and with his ego being scratched, his expression darkened. There was nothing more that he loved than his daughters. They were the product of love, which lasted for a long ti. Unlike the children from Calista, who were calculated and honestly didn’t feel much affection for right now, he couldn’t let anyone ss with his children.

So, when he heard Vaani saying that, he pictured that kind of scene and he didn’t like what he was seeing.

If she could be rciless like this now, what would stop her from doing more in the future?

"Master, in conclusion, I can certainly say that she is trying to weaken you. Cut off your wings, that way you will be at her rcy. Just think about those beasts by her side. Can you ascertain that you can live here without any worries?" Vaani didn’t forget to add more salt to the wound.

Those beasts were too powerful. Even if their whole family gathered and raised their weapons, they would all suffer and perish.

Vaani understood n the lot. Just like how won were vain, and loved fa and wealth, n had their pride and ego.

For a man like Orson, who was worshiped from a young age and held the decision of life and death for most people, to suddenly be undermined by a woman and be stepped on. How could he take it?

It might have been better if Calista hadn’t shown her hidden cards; the two beasts. Even when she was powerful, that wouldn’t be a threat. After all, soone stronger than you, you just need to gang up on her and deal with her.

But for spiritual beasts that were so monstrous like Blackey and Whitey, that was another matter. Unless they could access such beasts and have them confront the two, they won’t be able to win.

As long as those beasts remain, Orson would always remain inferior to Calista. Rather than fearing him, they would fear Calista.

Living in this village where shrines were erected for those two beasts and Calista’s na was enough to make naughty children behave. Would Orson even raise his head?

The decision between choosing Calista and becoming a nobody, or returning to Bluebird Island and reclaiming his position and being surrounded by everything that he could wish for. What would he choose?
