It’s been a few days since Calista gave birth to a pair of twins.

It was the greatest news all over the village and the neighboring villages. When was the last ti they saw twins being born?

As a result, the number of people lingering around Cropville village increased. Although they couldn’t see Calista since she was now in confinent, their excitent was too much to contain.

A lot of people were happy, so had concerns and there were others whose faces were swollen. They couldn’t even go anywhere without getting mocked.

That was the case for Benita, the stepdaughter who loved mocking the stepmother, day and night, cursing her about kids.

She wasn’t alone, but everyone else in the family suffered with her as well.

Who would have expected that she wouldn’t give birth to one child but two at once?

Fortunately, Calista seed to have forgotten about them. The terror of that day still haunted them until this very day.

She was too scary to offend.

anwhile, in Cropville village, Calista who was forced to go into confinent despite her body being fine was having a great ti.

If she had known that it would be like this, she wouldn’t have caused a fuss and earned an earful of scolding from Ma Susan, the fearless elder.

Ever since she entered confinent, she has been living the life of royalty.

She didn’t have to move a single muscle and soone would be there to do everything for her.

However, she refused to get her body wiped and did not take a bath. How could she survive a month without doing so?

Her OCD would act up. As a result, they could only compromise and have her take at least one bath every single day. She agreed to that.

The thought of holding her babies stinking, she felt like retching. There was no way that she would stand such a thing.

On this fortunate day, Calista was having her lunch. A large bowl of chicken soup, with several drumsticks swimming in the soup, and on the side, a bowl of rice.

Calista’s food intake increased. Maybe it was because she was breastfeeding the twins rather than letting them feed on animal milk.

She was the mother and alive and kicking. Why would she need her children to be raised by an animal or another woman’s milk when she had hers?

So, to ensure that the twins had sufficient milk, she had been eating to her fill all the ti and those around her were supporting her.

Although friends like Leeshay, who used a wet nurse to nurse her children and Madam Fischer, who used the sa route, felt that this thod was detrintal for Calista, she could only look at them and rolled her eyes at them.

"Cali, it’s the long-term consequences that we are worried about," Leeshay helplessly said as she looked at her friend, who was busy munching on her food without care.

Calista licked her lips as she looked at Leeshay and then at Madam Fischer, the two ladies who had been nagging her for days about her breastfeeding decision.

How could these won understand her?

Anyway, since she had been holding herself for days, maybe it was ti to let them hear her opinions. They would be leaving in a few days, after all. Maybe they would get enlightened on the journey and perhaps follow her footsteps in the future.

"You guys ..... I know that you are doing this for my benefit," she said gratefully as she looked at them, her hands picking the bowl of rice at the sa ti and continued, "but have you ever thought if these benefits are suitable for in the first place?" she asked playfully, rendering the won in the room speechless.

Under their speechlessness, she shoved two spoons of rice into her mouth and put the bowl aside as she aid for the soup.

"You .... What are you saying? Just state it out!" Madam Fischer, unable to understand where she was going, directly asked.

Calista, seeing the woman taking the bait, smiled as she picked up a drumstick and took a large bite.

The won in the room were forced to wait for Calista to finish munching on the chicken before she could respond to them again.

In a helpless tone, Calista shrugged as she asked, "It’s like this .... Have you ever thought of the benefits of breastfeeding your own child as a mother?"

Upon hearing the question, even Ma Susan, who had breastfed her babies without help, was confused.

Wasn’t it right for a mother to breastfeed her child? If the baby doesn’t drink milk, then what else could the child drink?

What was Calista yapping about now?

"At the sa ti, do I look like a woman who wants to fight for a man’s favor that I need to keep my body ready and perfect just in case he cos to my courtyard?" with a frustrated tone, she asked the ladies, especially Leeshay and Madam Fischer.

The two ladies at being pointed at, couldn’t help but look away embarrassedly. How could they have forgotten that Calista had strong and strange principles?

"I am not like that. Not that I look down on won who use wet nurses. It is your right to do so as well as your choice. Besides, your circumstances might force you on that path. However, I am different. The thought of soone feeding the baby I struggled to carry when I could do the sa, I think that I could strangle that woman to death.

Why should another woman feed my baby and let my baby be attached to her, when I, the mother, am idle with nothing to do?

Since I could carry the child for months, then I can also feed him for months before he starts eating food. I can at least let my children experience such a mont, right?"

Listening to Calista saying that, the won who had used wet nurses couldn’t help but beco quiet as they thought of what happened in the past.

However, Calista didn’t stop as she continued. They were the ones who provoked her for days, so they might as well listen to her teachings now that she was in the mood.

"Do you know that there are benefits of breastfeeding your child?" she asked with a loving smile as she looked in the direction of her sleeping babies.

Ma Susan wasn’t conflicted about the breastfeeding issue and, as a mother who once did so, she was curious when she heard Calista asking that. She couldn’t help but ask in return, "Tell us. What are they?" eager to know more.

Her children had one child each. In the future, they will have more children. Wouldn’t it be great if she learned more now so that in the future, she would push them in the right direction?

It was not just her who was curious, but the rest of the won as well.
