Monts later, everyone was seated in Calista’s living room with refreshnts at the table.

The atmosphere in the room was quite harmonious, though certain gazes kept on being cast at Calista, the person that the two guests were still very curious about.

When the maids left the living room, Calista smiled at the two guests as she adjusted her sitting posture, ready to et Hayes’s family officially.

"Thank you for coming all this way. I wasn’t expecting to see you, quite so soon!" as the host, if she didn’t open her mouth and speak, who was going to speak up for her?

Madam Fischer smiled politely at Calista, very much amazed by everything that she had seen so far.

"It’s nothing. I should be saying sorry for just coming without letting you know!" Madam Fischer said as she waved her hand to the side.

Calista, upon hearing that, wanted to roll her eyes and confront the lady and ask, ’Why are you pretending to be good? Didn’t you co all this way just to see what kind of vixen enchanted your son?’

She wasn’t an idiot who believed everything that she heard. Nonetheless, she understood how to play along. So, she didn’t dare reveal her thoughts at all.

"It’s nothing. Since you are his mother and brother, you are welco. His is my brother, after!" she smilingly said, as she caressed her belly.

That naughty child was at it again, kicking her stomach as if he or she didn’t see that there were guests in the house.

Madam Fischer couldn’t help but take a look at the belly, which seed to be due at any day, and sighed with relief inwardly.

At least these two were god-siblings. If they weren’t, she might have fainted in shock if her son had declared that he wanted to be with Calista.

"Hehe, talking about that, I was quite surprised when I received a letter about Hayes taking you as his god-sister. This is the first ti that sothing like that has happened. It was quite surprising!" Madam Fischer amusingly said as she looked at Calista, trying to get a reaction from her.

Calista didn’t disappoint as after hearing that she exclaid, replying, "You weren’t the only one shocked. It took a very long ti to agree. This brother of mine has such thick skin and is very persistent. I could only agree, but I now don’t regret it. It feels good having such a brother who protects all the ti!" with a smile on her face, she said as she looked at Hayes who had done exceptionally well ever since he ca to the village.

Hayes winked playfully at Calista and the other rolled her eyes at him, making the mother and son nearly have a heart attack at how shaless these two acted in front of people.

However, the two people in question didn’t see the outcry of the two at all and simply teased each other in the ways that they were used to.

"Ahem," Madam Fischer exaggeratedly cleared her throat. It made Calista and Hayes, who were in a playful mood, shift their focus back to her and look at her innocently like kids waiting for further instructions.

Madam Fischer seeing that, face pald inwardly, wondering what kind of magnets these two were to both act like that.

However, seeing them like that made her feel relieved, as she knew in her heart that there was no way these two people would ever fall in love. They were simply both mischievous and playful. If they developed feelings for each other, what kind of ss would they raise?

With the two’s attention drawn to her, Madam Fischer began to ask questions, directed at Calista. Calista, seeing the seriousness of the matter, beca fully engaged, ignoring Hayes completely.

"When are you due?"

"In four weeks or so! But we never know!"

"Indeed. When it cos to childbirth, anything can happen at any ti. I am glad that we ca in ti, otherwise ....."

"Hahaha, thankfully indeed."

Madam Fischer had so many questions for Calista and she also knew which questions not to ask as well.

After a round of questions, she was satisfied with what she heard and Calista, seeing that the lady wouldn’t bombard her with more questions, decided that it was ti to give her room.

There were two guest houses in the manor. One was half occupied by Hayes and his n, so she took Jeremy the brother and let him join Hayes.

As for Madam Fischer, she put her in the other guesthouse alongside her maids.

Just because she was his mother and a woman didn’t an that she would let her live in her main house. Her privacy was still of greater importance.

After putting the family in the guesthouse, Calista recalled sothing. Orson and his people had been living at the campsite all this ti, which was very unwelcoming for her since she was the host.

So, on that sa day, she had Orson move into the manor. No matter what, his kids were in her house, and it wouldn’t hurt having him around.

As for Vaani, that vixen she still hates despite the other being low-profiled, she had her move to the treehouse and stay there.

The rest of the n could still live at the campsite. They could fare well there.

With everyone settled in, Calista also received the people that she was promised.

Madam Fischer brought with her a mammy who had experience in childbirth before. She was experienced and seed to have worked in their household before getting transferred to her side.

She didn’t sense any malicious intent from her, so she wasn’t that wary about her at all.

If anyone played tricks with her child, she would cut their heads off as offerings for her child’s poor soul.

These mammies could lead the house very well, so they were multi-experienced.

She received six maids and four guards.

These people were enough for her.

Her household wasn’t too huge to house many people.

One must learn restraint.
