In the days which followed, the village was very quiet, unlike before.

Most villagers did their best to pass Calista’s house without making too much. In fact, they were so afraid of going anywhere. The thought of coming across those two beasts scared them seriously.

And the person who had caused all this didn’t leave the manor at all. She was busy looking after the daughters of Orson.

When she saw them for the first ti for real, when they were lying unconscious in the room where they were placed, Calista looked at them for hours as she caressed her belly.

The baby kept on making a fuss as if it knew that these girls were his or her sisters.

The girls were severely sick, despite being given the dicine. They didn’t show any signs of waking up anyti soon.

Which was good. The more ti they spent being unconscious, the more she would prepare herself to face them when they woke up.

Liking soone wasn’t sothing that could be done in a second, especially when there were issues between the adults.

Calista kept on administering the diluted version to the girls. And when Orson cos to see them, she would excuse herself. She wasn’t ready to face that unrepentant man at all.

Business continued as usual. After all, when the fiasco happened, there weren’t any outsiders, just unlucky villagers.

Ever since Blackey made an appearance, he no longer needed to hide himself. So, the small snake could be seen slithering here and there, and the servants made way for it as well as Whitey.

The servants in the manor didn’t fear the two like how the villagers were scared of them when they hadn’t seen them again.

What was interesting was how these servants even set up private shrines for Whitey and Blackey. To think that one day these two would be worshipped? Weren’t the deities causing a fuss right now?

Week thirty-one ca to an end, and Calista welcod another week.

The girls were now showing so signs of waking up. Their vitality was improving day by day and no more signs of their bodies deteriorating. They were going to live, and that was good news.

With them getting better like that, she felt that there was no need for her to remain locked up in the manor; she had spent too much ti there.

So, one day after breakfast, Calista left the manor, but Whitey didn’t co with her. Whitey was lazy at tis and, with Blakley accompanying her, he was even lazier.

Calista was with Hayes and the guards when she left the manor. It was also around the ti that Orson would be visiting his daughters. She didn’t want to see him.

The first place she went to check was the clinic. There weren’t a lot of people there, which was a relief. dicine was very expensive to get after all.

After that, she went to the factory, and she was satisfied with what she was seeing.

"At the rate everyone is going, it won’t take long before you have enough to sell to rchants!" Hayes said excitedly after seeing how much these people were producing.

Seeing the progress, Calista was also satisfied.

"Um, it will be soon. But I want to start selling next year, so of these things. For now, I will hoard them," she responded as she looked at the sugar, which was looking very brown and pleasing to the eyes.

There were several products that she could sell and with a long shelf-life span. And that was sugar, clothes, shoes, bags, and handicrafts. As for food, so far, they were still busy with snacks. Those could also be sold later, but she had already opened a shop. She planned to sell them locally and not in bulk.

These people should have a reason to keep coming back, right?

Hayes, upon hearing, didn’t understand why she would do such a thing. That was sitting on a mountain of money. Nonetheless, he didn’t object to that and rely agreed with her.

"If I want to buy from you, am I allowed?" Hayes after a while asked.

He was tempted by what he had seen and he wanted to promote her and at the sa ti make money as well.

Everything he had seen so far was of great quality and so of the products he had never seen before. He was very interested in acquiring them. Even if he couldn’t sell them outside, his family was big. They could have it.

Calista bead at Hayes when she heard him asking about that. "You can buy as much as you want. However, you will need to share it with soone else again. I promised a friend," not forgetting to remind him.

Diana was the first rchant to take dibs on her products and she couldn’t forget her just because there was Hayes.

There was also Faith and Leeshay. All these people needed to share.

Hayes readily agreed. He didn’t mind sharing. Besides, by the ti when these things are ready for sale, there will be a lot of it to share.

With the matter of future purchases agreed on, they continued with the supervision.

The next stop they made was at the restaurant. Around this ti, the coachn were either arriving or leaving.

However, those who were leaving all shared one thing in common: they stopped by the wine shop and snacks shop.

Seeing the business doing well even after being opened for a few days, Calista’s cheeks nearly got numb with smiling.

Seeing money coming in, Calista’s mood was always uplifted.

With all the rounds finished, Calista felt that it was ti to return to the manor. Besides, at this ti, Orson would be gone. So ho was safe to return to.

On the way back to the manor, Calista bead as she spotted several kids playing.

Things were much better compared to the early days after Whitey and Blackey got exposed. Kids could now be seen running around and playing like before.

It was nice seeing that.
