As Sir Henrich and the village chief returned to the chief’s house, the ssenger they had been waiting for finally ca.
When the ssenger passed the ssage, he dashed away, obviously in a hurry to go wherever he was going.
Sir Henrich, who thought that she would either co to invite him to her house or probably send soone closer to her, didn’t know what to think about this kind of invite.
However, the village chief didn’t see any issue with this. As long as the invitation is sent, does it matter who ca with the ssage?
In the end, the two n changed their direction and started going towards the manor, the biggest courtyard in the whole village.
Looking closely at the manor, Sis Henrich could tell that Madam Solace put in a lot of effort in designing the manor to her preferences.
As an official and a man, he had seen a few won like Madam Solace. Very independent, outright, and knew what they wanted. That was sothing that always made them special, unique and attractive in n’s eyes.
However, they were too strong and opinionated, sothing that n also didn’t like, especially for their won. When expecting that a woman should lower her head and treat the man like the head of the house and the pillar of the family, such won were simply not born to be submissive at all.
Putting that aside, these won, because they know what they want, don’t suffer that much. At least, so of them live much better compared to won who depend on n.
And seeing the manor, he couldn’t help but be reminded of that.
When they stepped into the courtyard, an aromatic scent greeted them, making the two n involuntarily swallow their saliva.
’She must have cooked a feat!’ they both thought as a maid led them towards where they were going to see the other.
Waiting for the two n to arrive was Calista. After she finished cooking the feast, she took a shower and changed into sothing vibrant and presentable.
She didn’t dare let the official see her looking shabby. Besides, she was feeling like showing off as well. Who made the other desperate for what she has?
The weather was a bit windy, so Calista waited for the guests in the welcoming hall inside the house. She didn’t dare ss with her food outside; the wind was picking up pretty fast.
As she waited for the two n to arrive, Mammy Lena ca from the outside and inford her that the two n were there.
Upon hearing that, Calista rose to her feet, since it was only normal and respectful if she welcod the guests on her feet. Of course, if it was just Ba Susan, she would never bother, but the councilor was coming. She could only pretend to be a lady with manners.
Monts later, the two n walked in and Calista walked towards them, a smile on her face.
This was the first that Sir Hendrich was seeing Madam Solace so close and in a very long ti.
She was not only tall but very beautiful. No wonder why his wife acted like that back then. She has a face and aura that keeps people on their toes.
With her hair braided, a very strange hairstyle for won in their kingdom, she looked ethereal, and that was packaged with that red and white dress she was wearing. He no longer had anything to say.
His gaze couldn’t help but linger for a bit on her stomach. Despite wearing loose clothes, he could see the slightly bulging belly.
She was indeed pregnant. What a pity that the husband was irresponsible and ran away.
But thank goodness, the marriage was repudiated. She was free and could do anything that she wanted. And that includes helping him to achieve rit and achievents as well.
As for that man, he might as well remain where he is and never return. With how much Madam Solace was loved currently, the child would be raised well.
Who can dare utter nonsense with how sharp-tongued she was?
He had heard stories, and he didn’t want to witness it or experience it at all. How embarrassing that would be for him.
"Welco to my humble abode!" with a slight bow, Calista welcod the guests.
Ba Susan’s lips twitched upon seeing this rare side of Calista he wanted to flee for a second.
With how mischievous she was, seeing her like this reminded him of sothing bad.
Whenever Calista acted like a good girl, at the end of the day, his head would be throbbing so badly and she would be having the last laugh. He was so traumatized by her that, seeing her like this, he couldn’t help but shudder, thinking that she was up to sothing again.
Sir Henrich had no idea what the chief was thinking but was currently in a good mood seeing how Madam Solace still has her manners.
"Thank you for inviting , Madam Solace. I hope that I didn’t impose on you!" with a smile on his face, Sir Henrich said.
Calista chuckled lightly as she waved her hand. "No, no. You didn’t. As a pregnant lady, nowadays I barely do much. So, hosting you is no big deal!" and replied earnestly.
Currently, there was nothing much for her to do, anyway. Hosting this can be considered a way of entertaining herself as she waited for the injured lady to wake up.
She didn’t know when Diana would return, but until then; she was free to do anything she wanted and that included taking care of her unborn baby with all care in the world.
Sir Hendrich was relieved upon hearing that.
Calista gave the two n a seat before sitting down on a single sofa. Rather than furnishing the house with tables and chairs, sothing that can be done in the dining room. In living spaces, she wanted to be comfortable sitting in, so she had a sofa placed there.
She has the money, so why not add a bit more comfort?
