259 Ch. 259 Anxia’s Frustration
Anxia always held Elliot on her lap and let her son cry so much that the boy wet her clothes. Anxia patted her son on the back and kept showering gentle kisses on the child’s head.
Elliot’s crying subsided not long after, and now the atmosphere returned to silence. Anxia thought her son had fallen asleep as there was no reaction after Elliot stopped crying.
When Anxia lowered her head and tilted her face to look at her son’s face, she could see that his black eyes were still exposed. Anxia still hugged her son and started interrogating i Yin about what had happened.
“Who is it? Why did he make my son cry?”

Anxia’s jaw tightened upon hearing this. If she and i Yin got out of this place and left Elliot in the snake nest alone… Anxia doubted she would be able to et Elliot the next day, and she couldn’t count on Jamie to protect Elliot because the poor woman didn’t have the power or air of confidence like i Yin.
What should she do? She had to ask Loraine to let i Yin stay here.
Anxia decides to see her mother and entrusts Elliot’s safety to i Yin.
As she expected, her mother refused to hear about it and insisted on sending i Yin to join her team.
“I can do it myself. i Yin doesn’t need to accompany .”

Anxia’s gaze toward her mother was the fiercest gaze she had ever shown before. When she was still Master Yu’s assassin, Anxia never showed any expression when she killed her target. She only gave a satisfied grin when she heard her victim scream and beg her for rcy.
She was even sure she didn’t hate Richard now as much as she had hated Richard two years ago. At that ti, she had repeatedly tried to harm Richard, and that man often frustrated her, and she despised him even more. But Richard wasn’t her mother.
Initially, the man was just a tool for her revenge plan before she fell in love. That’s why Anxia could forget her hatred once she opened her heart to that man.

Anxia took a piece of paper she had brought from the Russian doctor’s house and placed it roughly on her mother’s reading table.
“Are you really my mother? I wish I didn’t have a mother like you.”
Loraine glanced at the slightly crumpled paper in surprise. “What’s this?”
“Tell . Were you the one who ordered my obstetrician to destroy my uterus?”
Loraine’s eyes widened at that. “How did you...” a pair of lips that had been open imdiately closed tightly as soon as they realized the rciless ferocious gaze from her daughter’s direction.
“WHY? WHY DID YOU DO IT?!”
If this place were her ho in Kensington, Anxia probably wouldn’t be able to hold back her tears. She was too angry, heartbroken, and disappointed in her mother.
She might be able to forgive her mother by tricking her and hiding Elliot’s whereabouts from her. She understood her mother’s reason for worrying that Anxia could not protect and care for two children simultaneously.
Anxia had even prepared herself to accept her mother as she was when she heard from a Russian doctor that Loraine Shu was her birth mother.
But… she couldn’t accept that her mother had bribed her obstetrician to incise a scar on her uterus!
Because of the wound, now she can no longer have children. Because she couldn’t conceive, she cried all night with her husband to grieve and had to see the cloudy look on their daughter.
