228 Ch. 228 Lonely Night
“Here we are. This is your room from now on,” stated i Yin in a cheerful tone which was in stark contrast to the mysterious aura Anxia had been exuding.
After getting a mission from her mother… just imagine… it was not a client or master Yu who gave her a mission but her birth mother! What kind of logic is that?
On that note… after getting a mission from her mother, Loraine Shu summoned i Yin to escort Anxia to her room. It’s just that i Yin didn’t imdiately take her to the room, but the girl took her around the mansion to show her the beautiful scenery of this island.
Sohow Anxia felt that this girl was trying to persuade her to stay in this place for an extended period and asked her not to return to England.
Well, for the ti being, Anxia showed no sign that she wanted to leave. She wanted to see what her mother wanted from her. She was sure that the mission her mother had given her a while ago was not the real deal.
Therefore, for the ti being, Anxia didn’t rebel and followed whatever her mother wanted while morizing every corner of this place.
After walking around the mansion for almost an hour, i Yin finally brought her to the second floor, where her room was.
The room was quite big but not as big as the main suite in Kensington. Anxia didn’t show any expression to make i Yin disappointed.
i Yin had hoped that she could please Anxia by making her marvel at the beauty of this place. However, it seed that Anxia didn’t care at all and wore a deadpan expression that made it impossible for her to read the girl’s feelings.

“Dinner will be ready in about two hours. You can rest here, and one of the maids will co to fetch you.”
“Okay.” That was the short answer from Anxia without any intention to speak more. She hoped i Yin would leave her room soon so she could have so alone ti to calm down.
But the girl couldn’t read her mind, so i Yin just stood there and said sothing. “You have no idea how much your presence is expected here, and soone would be excited to see you here.”
“…”
“Well, you’ve t him before, but I’m sure he’s dissatisfied and would have squealed with joy when he found out you were here.”
‘What does that have to do with ? Just leave! I want to rest.’ Anxia couldn’t help but only retrain herself to make a good impression to let down her mother’s guard around her.
“Oh, he is currently on his way here, and this would be the best birthday present!”
One of Anxia’s eyebrows rose upon hearing this. Birthday? Why did her heart feel uneasy hearing these words?
GOOD GRIEF!! Lori is turning six in a week! And she decided to go exactly a week before her daughter’s birthday. This made Anxia hate this place and everyone who wanted her presence even more.
Anxia’s head was even dizzier when she heard i Yin’s voice, who still kept chattering, and at that mont, her patience was at its limit.
“I never knew you were so talkative.”
i Yin gasped at the sneer that ca from Anxia’s throat. Not to ntion, she felt the temperature of the air around them dropping drastically as if it was now winter.
“Did I bother you?” asked the girl with a cautious tone.
“You noticed now?”
BAM!
Without waiting for the girl’s response, Anxia closed the door right in front of i Yin’s face making the girl purse her mouth.
“Tsk. What a rude girl! I hope you won’t act like that when he arrives.”
On the other hand, Anxia didn’t imdiately rest as initially planned. She scanned every corner of her room for hidden caras or other bugging devices.
After confirming that nothing was in the room, Anxia plopped down on the soft bed. Her muscles, which had been tense, felt good as soon as she hit the soft mat.
It felt really good, but… she felt lonely.
For the last two years, Anxia has lived with Richard and Lori. Occasionally, they would sleep together or alone with Richard to have a passionate night.
Anxia almost never slept on her own since she gave birth to Lori. Then she t Richard and felt what love was. She also knew the warmth of a hug and the protection that her husband offered.
Now… she had left it all behind and felt lonely. Anxia closed her eyes, imagining her husband, who must still be lying in bed while her daughter… the child must be crying.
Anxia’s tears escaped from the edge of her eyes as she imagined how heartbroken her daughter would be.

At the Kensington residence.
The family’s physician arrived to check on Richard, who strangely couldn’t get up no matter how hard soone woke him up.
Lori buried her head in Denise’s neck—the head maid of the Richard family, with tears in her eyes. She couldn’t find her mother, and now her father couldn’t wake up. Why did she feel that everyone she cared about had disappeared and left her?
In the end, like it or not, the butler decided to contact Thijs, an assistant and good friend of Richard’s, because he did not know how to deal with his employer’s condition.
Thijs imdiately ca to Richard’s house and discovered that Richard had been injected with a paralytic liquid. The man wouldn’t wake up for the next fifty hours and decided to call a doctor.
The doctor has arrived, and Thijs is standing by Richard’s bed while Lori sits on Denise’s lap, crying.
The doctor could do nothing but wait for Richard to wake up in less than forty hours to find out what had happened. They were also curious about the whereabouts of the hostess because Anxia had left her phone behind so no one could track her.
Luckily, Anxia was still wearing her couple bracelet, so Richard could still track the girl wherever Anxia went. But… Richard must wake up first to do so.
