Zoey turned around to see Sarina, accompanied by won and n that exuded an air of power. There were about eight of them, different in size and strength as the air around them seed to go stale, their intense gazes falling on Zoey with interest and a certain gleam in their eyes.
"So this is the D-Ranker that is quickly advancing? Marvellous." A voice of a man said, his sleek purple hair gleaming in the room light as he adjusted his purple, fancy suit.
"She actually went toe-to-toe with Kyle, and managed to beat him? What crazy potential is that!?"
Another voice chid in, a cute woman that wore fabulous jewellery and a tight...maybe too tight, dress that made her curves look even more stunning, her massive breasts looking like it might burst out of her clothes.
"Zoey Monroe? Isn’t she the one that awakened an A Rank Talent? I must recruit her into my Academy!" Another voice said, belonging to a woman with sleek brown hair and a mischievous smile on her face.
’The...Academy Heads are here...’ Zoey thought as her eyes widened in suprise, these people were the heads of the Top Academies in Sunrow City. The only took geniuses into their guild, and helped nurture them into much greater versions of themselves, making geniuses out of extre geniuses.
"Mrs. Sarina, what brings you here?" Mira asked, her tone carrying a hint of curiousity, but it masked behind her icy cold expression.
Though she couldn’t help but notice the hungry gazes of the Academy Heads, they were definetly here to recruit Zoey into their guild.
’They must’ve been watching us through CCTV caras.’ She though, her gaze falling on a CCTV cara in the corners of the room.
"Well, the Academy Heads have co to see Zoey of course~" Sarina said with a mischievous grin, "They heard about Zoey’s achievents and are quite fascinated upon reviewing the surveillance footage about the spar between Kyle and Zoey. Hehe~"
Zoey’s eyes studied the many academy Heads infront of her, she knew that it would only be so long till the academies would co for her as well, and that she would need to choose an Aaademy to sharpen her skills.
Of course, she could just refuse if she didn’t want to join any academy, it’s not as if they were forcing her to accept, but that would change depending on whether they would accept her demands or not.
"Zoey Monroe, right?" The man with a purple suit stepped forward, his tone formal and professional.
His eyes gazed her up and down, she looked like a wreck, her clothes were greately dirtied, covered by debre and dust.
But that wasn’t what caught her eye, he was a powerful Hunter as well, and he could guage a Hunter’s power easily, just by feeling the aura around them.
"Yes, that’s ." Zoey said, narrowing her eyes as her ears perked, ready to listen to what the man had to say.
"I Shawn Hecknyll, invite you to joining our Phantom Guard Academy. Our academy will provide you a myriad of benefits, such as resources, and a high amount Points for you to spend while inside the academy. You’ll also gain access to all training facilities, and gain a fancy dorm of your choice." The first Academy Head said.
’Points, that would be useful.’ Zoey thought.
Points were a currency used in the Academies, they were used to buy anything within the academy. Ranging from snacks, weapons, Items, and even Skill Books. They were earned by completing Tasks inside the academy, or by selling items gained from the dungeons.
’I don’t really need that.’ Zoey soon ca to a conclusion, while the offers were definetly amazing, it wasn’t enough to get her to decide on it yet.
"Hmph, my turn I suppose~" The woman with large breasts, wearing a tight dress stepped forward as she pulled open a briefcase. Inside the brief case were two large purple obsidian Stone Tablets that radiated a dark, and malevolent aura.
’!!!’ Zoey’s eyes widened upon seeing the Stone Tablets, reeling from shock and suprise.
"I, Lilia Lacterna, invite you to Earth Providence Academy. The academy offers you these two [Sacred Knowledge Spell Tos], that will boost your Intelligence Stats by 40 Points upon absorbing them both. Perfect for bringing out your true Mage Talent."
’40 Points is insane!? Those are definetly peak B-Rank Items!’ Zoey thought, knowing the insane worth behind the Items offered to her. It urked her a bit, as increased Intelligence was always a great thing, and many would spend billions to aquire items like these.
"[Sacred Knowledge Spell Tos]? What garbage! I can offer sothing better than that! If you join out Academy, you’ll be granted an [Stamina Reinforcent Exlier!] That will boost your stamina regeneration and make you a beast on the battle field!" Another Academy head chid in.
’!!!’ Zoey’s eyes widened once again as she heard yet another ridiculous offer, a [Stamina Reinforcent Elixer]? That’s crazily valuable. They’re just as valuable as Mana Reinforcent Elixers, so they’re quite hard to make and find in any markets, as brilliant Alchemist usually only sell them to major branches, and limited amounts in stock.
"Don’t bother with these trash Academies, our Academy has a whole Library of Skill Books and special pills that can be used to boost your Stats if you train with them properly."
The Academy heads soon broke out into a heated arguent, while they were offering Zoey crazy treasures and many benefits of joining their Academies, they were also bickering with each other like typical siblings. Each Academy head going head to head while they tried their best to grab Zoey’s attention.
Except for one...
’All of them are good, especially the [Sacred Knowledge Spell Tos] , and [Stamina Reinforcent Elixer]. The [Relegators Axe], [Destructive Gauntlets], and [Charismatic Earings], are all really good offers I have to consider as well.’
Zoey thought as she gazed at the woman with long, blonde hair, and green piercing eyes that shone like the finest of eralds. Her eyes twinkled with serious determination and an confident aura of brilliance that didn’t escape Zoey’s attention, as Zoey could just tell that this person carried herself well.
’But she hasn’t offered anything yet?’ Zoey raised a brow curiously, deciding to be the one to ask her.
"And what about your offer? You are here to try and recruit , aren’t you?" Zoey asked, her tone a bit skeptical.
"Of course I am, I’ve been waiting patiently for these fools to keep their mouth shut." She said, her tone full of confidence that irritated the other Academy Heads.
"Hmph, you’re too full of yourself Natalie. Do you really think you can compete with the offers we’ve given? Many Hunters would instantly jump for a opportunity like this." Lilia said with a cheeky grin, smiling sweetly, but mockingly. Certain that she could snatch the young Talent.
’Golden Hawk Academy....’ Zoey thought as she instantly recognized the Academy’s Head, the Academy full of geniuses.
Every Hunter produced in the Academy erged as a far stronger version of themselves, the education, training, and extre competitive nature of the Academy allowed the students to push themselves to the peak, which is also why many students in the Academy succeeded with astounding results.
’...’ However, although this Academy was certainly a goldmine for many Hunters, currently the top institution for Hunters in Sunrow City.
It was also the sa Academy where her brother Aleron, and sister Alicia were attending, as they were regarded as the face of the Academy, and praised as geniuses for taking the Monroe na to greater heights.
She would always rember Aleron boasting about his results during many Hunter examinations and Tournants, as he and Alicia had dominated the Academy with their powerful Talents, and with the backing of their powerful Guilds, they were basically deed unstoppable.
’Interesting...’ Natalie thought as she observed Zoey’s expression that showed deep contemplation, as if she was fighting a war inside herself. However, she didn’t care, she couldn’t care what Zoey was going through, all she wanted was prodigies like herself, and she would go to any length to get them into her Academy.
"Zoey Monroe," Natalie started, "I, Natalie Gold, invite you to join our prestigious academy. I promise to mold you into the best version of yourself, soone far more powerful than the woman standing before , of course, our Academy will supply you with everything you need to accomplish just that.
As for the benefits, you’re permitted to choosing out a set of High-ranked Armour, limited to B-Rank, as well as an B-Rank Item, the [Sacred Phoenix Tears], a powerful restoration potion that can quickly cure any wound and repel all negative debuffs casted on the user, while simultaneously enhancing the user’s strength for a limited amount of ti.
The Item can be used for about three tis before vanishing, but I assu that you’ll be able to make the most use of it." Natalie paused, observing the suprised expression of Zoey, an amused smirk forming on her lips as she continued.
"Just like the many Elites of our academy, you’ll receive special training grounds, as well as training from our professors that will take your combat, and magical knowledge to even greater heights, as we also grant you the privilege to accept special Tasks for our Academy, that gives a lot more Points than regular Tasks do."
’...’ Zoey was speechless, an absurdly powerful B-Rank Item, and a whole Armour set for her to choose? As of this mont, Zoey only had one B-Ranked Weapon, the [Void Requiem] Sword, which was already insanely powerful, but if paired with an equally powerful Armour set, then she’d definetly be a greater force in battle!
"You don’t need to say anything else." Zoey said with an excited grin, "I accept." Zoey was excited, she didn’t care much about the Points or anything else, as her main priority was gaining power. Although, she was looking forward to sothing else as well, sothing she had secretely longed for this entire ti after Awakening.
’And that’s to see Aleron and Alicia’s faces, so I can show them, just how much they have lost, after treating like they did!’ Zoey thought, while her expression remained calm and collected, inside, she was boiling with sothing akin to excitent, but also a of rage.
"Excellent, you’ve made the righ-"
Just before Natalie could finish with her words, Zoey stopped her as she raised a finger, signaling for her to stop.
"However, there’s a few conditions you need to hear before you can really consider taking into your Academy, Ms Natalie."
