A scorching surge accompanied by pain rose from the stomach, and in an instant, it swept through the entire body.

Garrett cried out in pain, clutching his stomach, bending over to sit down. What was going on? Why did it suddenly hurt? Poisoning? Stomach perforation? Cholecystitis? Pancreatitis? Or sothing else?

Which part hurt? What kind of pain was it? Colic, stabbing pain, pressing pain, rebound pain, radiating pain, referred pain...

Before he could finish thinking, a torrent of technical terms had already flown out of his mind. Throughout his body, from flesh to spirit, there was only one sensation left:

Pain!

Pain, pain, pain, pain, pain!

What... is... happening...

"Garrett, what’s wrong with you!" Seraina was at her wits’ end, pacing around him. Her hands shone with white light, casting one healing spell after another without any improvent:

What’s going on? He was fine just now, why did he suddenly beco like this? What happened? That fish brain is edible! Eating it is beneficial! I used to eat it all the ti when I was young!

In her anxiety, her bright silver-blue eyes unwittingly turned pure silver, and her elven round pupils turned into vertical slits. With the dragon’s ability to observe energy, she saw a formidable power rolling inside Garrett’s body, making his figure sowhat blurry.

It was hard to see clearly. Seraina took a step back and instantly transford back into her dragon form. On closer inspection, the power centered around the stomach, rampaging everywhere. And on Garrett’s skin, from the top of his head to the tips of his hair, tiny particles were continuously rising...

"Ah!"

Seraina covered her mouth with her forepaw. She rembered, indeed, this fish was a delicacy, especially the brain, which greatly benefits the ntal growth of young dragons, but that’s for young dragons!

Garrett was not a young dragon!

He was just a human! A human! And he was a fifth-level priest, a fourth-level mage, with his physical strength, his warrior level, probably only 1-2!

If Seraina were a player from China, she probably would use a phrase to describe this incident:

The weak can’t handle supplents...

"Garrett! ditate!"

She yelled out.

His parents and kin had ntioned that humans who traveled with them, after eating so things—re snacks or tidbits for the dragon clan—often needed to use ditation to guide the power within.

Of course, if it was a powerful warrior, they might use martial practices or combat to subdue this abundant power to their own...

The dragon’s sharp voice cut through the fog. Garrett shuddered, instinctively following the Silver Dragon girl’s instructions, assuming a ditative posture. Once, twice, thrice, he tried several tis in severe pain before he could gather his mind and enter a ditative state—

Thoughts converged, spiritual power unfolded. The world before him imdiately changed.

He finally saw. It was not poisoning, not stomach perforation, not any physical illness, but an unprecedentedly wild energy surging. This energy eagerly poured into the ditative environnt, howling, sweeping, stirring.

Because it was too formidable and too violent, every roll of this energy brought intense pain to the body.

But fortunately, after entering the ditative state, he could finally use his own spiritual power to guide, constrain, and filter it, and most importantly, digest and absorb it.

At the edge of the ditative environnt, a conch-like shell unfolded layer by layer. The surging energy, guided, imdiately whirled into it, circling round and round like in a centrifuge. These energies quickly began to separate:

The chaotic, restless, uncontrollable parts were ejected through holes in the shell wall; the pure, gentle, easily absorbed parts quietly settled. The storm in the spiritual sea slightly subsided, the pressure slightly relieved, and the energy rising from the body, like finding a sluice, surged in again rapidly.

These changes were invisible to Seraina. She could only see that after Garrett entered ditation, not only did his condition not improve, but it seed to get worse:

His body trembled, breathing beca rapid, and his upper body exposed to the air, his skin turned a reddish hue. He seed very hot... did he need to cool down?

This is my forte!

Seraina opened her mouth to breathe out her breath. Thinking it over, she stopped, hooked her claw tip toward the distant lake surface. With a loud splash, the crystal-clear lake water soared into the sky, forming a rainbow bridge, rushing to her side.

Then, under the control of the Silver Dragon girl, a circular water barrier stood up around Garrett,

even quietly spilling under him. At a glance, it looked as if his entire body was contained in a huge glass cup.

The lake water splashed and filled the "glass". Only then did Seraina take a breath, controlling herself, and blew out a very, very small puff of white mist onto the water surface. She curled her lips into a "shush" shape, then blew out a truly thin stream of white mist, watching it enter the water.

Within the "glass
