Upon observing Xiao Yichen’s departure, Bai Lu hastened to follow him.
The two exited the East Mansion, and Xiao Yichen drove Bai Lu to an upscale restaurant.
This restaurant was situated away from the city center and renowned for its delectable cuisine, making reservations during peak dinner hours a challenge. Xiao Yichen, however, had secured a reservation for a high-end private room in advance.
In the restaurant’s entrance waiting area, Lin Wan, Katie, and Sally were still seated, awaiting their turn. Upon hearing the waiter call out a number, the trio approached and followed the waiter to the recently vacated table.
Katie comnted cheerfully, “Looks like the food here is really good.”
“Of course. The places I take you to are always top-notch,” Lin Wan proudly declared.
The three of them engaged in lively conversation as they placed their orders.
Lin Wan, without intention, glanced around the restaurant between courses. Her eyes inadvertently t soone at the entrance.
Xiao Yichen, accompanied by Bai Lu, was entering the dining area. Upon spotting Lin Wan, he casually scanned the room and registered a clear surprise.

Lin Wan watched helplessly. She only withdrew her gaze once Xiao Yichen and Bai Lu vanished. Her heart, by now, ached profoundly.

Unexpectedly, Lin Wan collided with Xiao Yichen’s chest upon exiting the restroom.

“Why are you here?” Lin Wan asked in surprise, simultaneously attempting to create so distance.
Xiao Yichen observed Lin Wan’s actions and promptly extended his long arm, ensnaring Lin Wan in an embrace that prevented her from slipping away.
