Saying

Lin Wan hung up the phone and headed straight to the director’s office before making her way to the legal departnt.

After a two-hour conversation, Lin Wan finally understood the specific situation and the decision of the legal departnt.

In the jewelry design competition, a competitor from Wing Jewelry Company had accused her of plagiarizing their designs. The competitor had sent a letter directly to the Luo Group’s headquarters, which in turn inford Dream Phil before the legal departnt initiated an investigation.

Currently, her position had not been suspended by the legal departnt as there was no evidence of plagiarism. However, she was temporarily barred from taking on new design orders.

Sitting at her desk in her office, Lin Wan felt lost. She remained silent, unsure of what to do next.

Without any design orders, it seed like she had nothing to do.

After finishing work in the afternoon, Lin Wan and Shen Yun left together. She shared everything she had learned about her visit to the legal departnt.

“Wanwan, you can seek help from your husband,” Shen Yun suggested with a hopeful tone. She seed relieved.

“What do you an?” Lin Wan asked.

“Wing Jewelry is a subsidiary of the Eastern Empire and is slightly more influential than . Since they accused you of plagiarism, you can approach your husband to investigate the matter. Perhaps, when the Eastern Empire looks into it, they will take the initiative to withdraw the accusation and clear your na,” Shen Yun explained.

It was indeed the best idea. After all, the man Lin Wan had married was extraordinary. He was wealthy, powerful, and there was likely nothing in Ancheng City that Xiao Yichen couldn’t accomplish. Therefore, this issue appeared to be a trivial matter for Xiao Yichen.

“You’re right,” Lin Wan’s imagination began to run wild. How could she have forgotten that she was married to a CEO?

Perhaps she had only found out about his identity today and had yet to fully accept it. However, upon further consideration, Lin Wan realized that despite being Xiao Yichen’s wife, she had no emotional connection with him. Would he be willing to help her?

“So, Wanwan, don’t worry. Just ask your husband for help in resolving everything,” Shen Yun said cheerfully.

“Okay, I’ll talk to him tonight when I get ho,” Lin Wan replied hesitantly. She couldn’t guarantee that Xiao Yichen would assist her, but she could at least try.

….

Upon returning to Blue Bay Villa, Lin Wan found Xiao Yichen already at ho.

Xiao Yichen noticed Lin Wan changing into slippers and approaching him. Instinctively, he reached out his hand and said, “Co here…”

As Lin Wan observed the cold and intimidating aura surrounding him, she hesitated for a mont before walking over to Xiao Yichen.

Once Lin Wan stood in front of him, Xiao Yichen reached out and pulled her closer, causing her to fall onto his lap.

The close contact made Lin Wan feel uneasy. She lowered her head, avoiding eye contact with Xiao Yichen. She contemplated struggling or adjusting her position, but the firm grip of his hand around her waist…

In the end, Lin Wan decided not to move, remaining obediently in Xiao Yichen’s embrace.

Xiao Yichen savored the mont. For the first ti today, his mind was preoccupied at work because he missed this woman.

With her in his arms, he sensed the faint fragrance emanating from her body. For so inexplicable reason, he found it enjoyable.

The two of them remained in that position until Auntie Li ca over and inford them that dinner was ready.

During the al, Lin Wan sat across from Xiao Yichen, keeping her head down and focusing on her food. Occasionally, she contemplated the accusation of plagiarism in the jewelry competition. How should she bring up the topic to Xiao Yichen?

“What’s the matter?” Xiao Yichen had long noticed the absent-minded look on that woman’s face. She was in a daze even when she was eating. It was obvious that she had sothing on her mind.
