Chapter 234 – Roo and Juliet.

I left the mansion with Luan, and he took

toward the new Hestia Familia mansion. I thought they had moved to a place closer by—but that wasn't the case. They moved sowhere much farther.

Near the coliseum.

When I saw the new Hestia Familia house, I couldn't help but compare it to the Loki Familia's ho.

'It might be just as big… I didn't even know this place existed. Did they build it?'

"Did you guys build this house?"

"No, I bought it like this. Amazing, right? Better not talk about the price, but I think I paid a fair amount."

The price was definitely absurd. Did Luan buy the mansion all by himself? That's incredible.

It shows how famous he really is.

To this day, I don't understand how his face hasn't beco widely known. If it ever does, I'm sure he'll start getting harassed by all kinds of people. But honestly, most people don't care about the author.

They only care about the story.

"Are you coming in?" Luan asked after opening the gate.

I thought for a mont, then decided to accept his invitation.

We walked along the main path, and I examined every part of the garden. It was beautiful and well-maintained—maybe the most beautiful garden I've ever seen in my life. "They're going to have a lot of work keeping this up."

They'll probably hire soone to take care of it.

I entered through the massive front door of the mansion and imdiately held my breath.

It's even more beautiful than the Loki Familia's house. What an amazing place.

"Beautiful, right? It has three floors and over ten rooms. Pretty impressive, huh?"

"It really is beautiful. Where are the other mbers of the Hestia Familia?"

"They're probably all in their rooms right now."

"I see."

"Want sothing to drink?"

"Tea, please."

"Take a seat, make yourself comfortable."

Luan went to get the tea, and then I saw soone coming down the stairs. It was Goddess Hestia.

As soon as she saw , her expression turned a little complicated…

'She really doesn't like .'

Definitely because of Luan. She clearly likes him a lot and doesn't want

getting close. Isn't that a bit… whatever. I'm not going to give up just because of her.

Hestia sat on the other big couch and lay down. She pulled a book from under a pillow and started reading silently. Soon after, Luan returned to the room.

"Hestia, did you at least say hi to Ais?"

"Hi," Goddess Hestia said coldly.

I didn't feel offended, but I didn't respond either.

Luan sighed and handed

the tea.

He sat next to , and we started talking about the new mansion and his upcoming projects. Hestia, who was nearby, was clearly paying close attention to our conversation.

She's like a guard, making sure I don't get too close to Luan.

How annoying.

After nearly an hour at the Hestia Familia's mansion, I rembered the thirty pages Luan had written and felt the urge to read them. Since Hestia was already showing signs that she wanted

to leave, I took that chance to say goodbye.

Luan walked

outside.

"I'm going to read this and co back to tell you what I think. If it's good enough, I'll force you to keep writing."

"Hahaha, I'm sure you won't like it."

Not like sothing he wrote? Impossible.

####

When I got ho, I went straight to my room to read the thirty pages Luan had written. As soon as I sat on the bed and began reading, I could imdiately tell sothing was different. "It feels more mature."

The writing is far more refined. In his earlier books, he used simpler words and the reading felt lighter and more casual. But in these thirty pages, I found sothing completely different.

These pages introduced a much more serious and tragic story.

"An adaptation of Roo and Juliet."

That's the title.

"An adaptation of a story he's read before?"

The plot is simple.

A man and a woman in love, but unable to be together because they co from enemy families.

Actually, from enemy nations.

From what I could tell, the story would probably develop into wars—more and more of them. And it had no magic. It felt more raw, a story where ordinary humans kill other ordinary humans.

"Why doesn't Luan want to continue writing this? It's so good. The writing quality is excellent, and the story is compelling. Maybe he thinks this kind of story won't succeed since it's so different from his previous ones?"

He might think that, but I'm sure it would be a success.

Even if it doesn't beco as popular, I want him to continue writing it—because I'm genuinely interested.

A man and a woman in love… but unable to be together.

Maybe he wrote it thinking about ? Maybe he doesn't think he can be with ?

No, I'm overthinking this.

Once again, I'm having thoughts I never used to have. That man really changed .

I smiled and stood up.

I placed the papers on my desk, and just then, the bedroom door opened.

"Where were you?" It was Tione.

"I was with Luan."

"Luan? Doing what?" she asked, sounding suspicious.

"He moved, so I went to visit his new ho with the Hestia Familia. We just had tea and talked."

"He moved? I didn't hear about that."

"It happened recently."

"Take

there!"

"Huh? Why?" I asked, confused.

"Because I'm a close friend of his—I want to know where he lives."

Hearing her words, I felt a strange discomfort for so reason.

"Another ti. I just got back and don't want to show up there again."

"Fine. But don't forget about it!" Tione said with a serious look, full of excitent. Then she left the room.

"…"
