Chapter 219 – Sothing sweet.
After Rayne disappeared, I continued my exploration without bothering her. I'll admit, I was really tempted to follow her, but I didn't. I'm sure I'll run into her again soday.
"Alright, let's focus on finding a strong enemy. A Minotaur or a Ligerfang would be fun to fight. Hmm, I wonder if the Goliath is still alive or if soone's already taken it down? I'm curious!"
I kept searching for enemies, and most of the monsters I encountered were Hellhounds traveling in packs. They weren't intimidating, and just like the monsters on the upper floors, they were afraid of my sword.
I wonder what the true origin of this sword is.
I know it ca from a dragon… a black dragon. But where did that dragon co from? Is it from this world? Or did this sword co from another one? I have so many questions.
But I pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the enemies in front of .
After killing a group of frightened dogs, I grabbed a water bottle and took a sip.
Feeling completely refreshed, I was suddenly hit by the presence of sothing powerful approaching.
BOOM~~
BOOM~~
BOOM~~
I heard heavy footsteps, like a giant's, and the sound of a monster snorting.
HUFF~~
HUFF~~
Loud, intense breaths.
I looked toward the source and saw a tall monster with the head of a bull. It was nearly twice my size. Its muscles were enormous—terrifyingly so. Just looking at it made it clear how tough it was.
I smiled as its red eyes locked onto mine.
We stared at each other for a few seconds, and then I pointed my sword at it. Unlike the other monsters, this one wasn't afraid of my sword, even though it was only a level two monster. It didn't seem to care.
So, I activated the skill Bloodlust to see if I could intimidate it.
One of the Minotaur's skills is its roar, capable of frightening low-level adventurers and paralyzing them. But I wasn't going to let it roar—it was going to die quickly.
"Speed. Attack Speed. Fire Magic." The Minotaur's eyes widened as a massive fla surged toward it, filling the whole area with scorching heat. The heat didn't affect , of course.
The Minotaur scread in pain as its skin burned. And the mont the magic faded, I was already at eye level with it, "flying."
I had jumped, aiming to take off its head with a single strike.
The Minotaur looked at
in fear. I could see the terror in its eyes. It was afraid of .
Swosh!
I spun mid-air, leaving a trail of darkness behind my blade as it sliced cleanly through its neck.
When the Minotaur died, one of its horns fell to the ground along with a magic stone. I sighed.
"That was too easy. I'm way stronger than a level two monster. How boring."

After being disappointed by the Minotaur, I went searching for a Ligerfang. I chased down every strong presence I could sense. Along the way, I ran into so adventurers and more Minotaurs before finally finding a Ligerfang.
When I saw that massive tiger with its back to , completely unaware of my presence, I felt a bit intimidated.
"Its presence is way more threatening. And I'm sure it's much faster than the Minotaur. Luckily, I have the Speed skill and my stats are really high."
I continued observing the Ligerfang until it finally noticed .
As soon as it did, it let out a thunderous roar. ROOOOAAAR~~
The roar was so loud it made the dungeon walls tremble.
The tiger stared at
with its sharp eyes, and I felt a chill run down my spine.
Still, I stood my ground, waiting for it to attack.
I'm confident in my strength—there's no need to be afraid.
Then, it attacked.
VUOSSHH~~
It dashed toward
so fast it startled , but I was able to keep up with its movents. The Ligerfang leapt at , aiming to slash
with its claws. If those paws hit , I'd be in trouble.
But I easily blocked its claws with my sword.
After being stopped, the Ligerfang opened its mouth and tried to bite , letting out a grotesque noise.
As its jaws ca at , I activated the skill Perfect Defense, trusting in my ability. I raised my arm and let it bite down. When it did, I felt nothing.
Noticing that I didn't react and was even smiling, the Ligerfang panicked as my sword began to glow with a dark, ominous light.
"Bye," I said, thrusting my sword into the side of its head, piercing straight through its skull.
The Ligerfang lost strength in its jaws and died slowly. Its body vanished, and I sighed in disappointnt.
"Level two monsters really are too weak. I need to go deeper."

Feeling a bit let down, I decided to leave the dungeon and spend so ti at ho with Hestia and Lili. I'd already been down there for a few hours anyway. Speaking of which, I hope Hestia's in a good mood…
She wasn't too happy when I left the house.
Eventually, I arrived at the mansion.
I walked through the front door and was greeted by the sight of Hestia lying on the couch, reading volu 4 of Re:Zero. As soon as she saw , she tucked the book under a pillow and stood up.
"I'm going to my room!" she said.
But I quickly ran over and stopped her.
"Hey, are you still mad? Co on, let's talk for a bit."
"..."
"You're pregnant, you shouldn't stay angry."
"Stop saying that nonsense! I'm not going to forgive you just because you keep saying stuff like that!"
"So what do I have to do?"
"I want you to cook for . I want sothing really tasty and sweet. Once you do that, I might consider forgiving you."
"Alright, alright." I chuckled and patted her head. "But you probably shouldn't eat too much sugar while you're pregnant. It might not be good for you."
"Stop saying stuff like that!" Hestia got annoyed again and swatted my hand off her head. "And I already told you to stop patting my head! I'm not a child!"
